[0:00]A girl has spent her entire life on a farm where life is worse than death. At this farm, people are trained to dive into the depths of the ocean to extract pearls from shells. This training is so dangerous that many divers lose their lives during it. The girl dreams of escaping from this farm. One day, the farm supervisor announces that whoever retrieves a pearl from the treacherous Duanwang Pond will be richly rewarded. Duanwang Pond is a part of the ocean inhabited by deadly marine creatures, and no one who has gone there to retrieve pearls has ever returned alive. Despite the risks, some divers, desperate for freedom, agree to take on the challenge. These divers, including the girl Duan Wu, set off in a boat toward Duanwang Pond. Upon reaching the location, they jump into the water. The ocean seems calm and serene, but its dangers lurk beneath the surface.
