Elevating Coastal Chic spaces with Neutral Curtains

This space gets incredible natural light in the morning, which we love, but the open floor plan like this has almost no privacy. And the shades we originally had weren't doing us any favors. They felt cheap. They didn't hold up well over time and visually they just didn't match the space. So, we started looking for something that could do both, still let in the soft natural light but actually give us privacy when we needed it. And that's where the process got interesting. Instead of guessing online, we ordered samples from Neutral Curtains. And so, we tested everything in real time. We held up each shade to the window like an interior designer would and compared how the light came through. We even tested different privacy linings to see exactly how much coverage we'd get without losing that morning glow. That made the decision way more precise. Once we landed on the right combination, we customized everything, the shade style, valance, and exact look we wanted for this room. The checkout process was surprisingly detailed, but still really easy to navigate. And even though everything was custom and shipped from overseas, it arrived way faster than we expected. Installation was very straightforward, the fit is exact, no gaps, no awkward sizing, it all just works. And that's what we ended up going with something that feels completely different than what we had before. The bamboo texture adds warmth, tones, and they compliment the space in a way that before we couldn't even imagined. And now we get this soft, filtered light without feeling exposed. And they're cordless, which means dealing with all those broken mechanisms or constant adjustments over time, no more. And even though they're lightweight, the bamboo is incredibly strong, so they still feel durable and built to last. On the back, we chose a Belgian linen lining. It's made from 100% flax, which gives you the clean finished look while also helping control the light. And one thing to know, because it is natural bamboo, you'll see the slight variations, the texture, small knots, the subtle inconsistencies, but that's actually part of what makes it feel so elevated. It doesn't look like it's manufactured. It looks real. So now the space feels intentional and we didn't sacrifice light or privacy for aesthetics over function. We finally have all of them.
