[0:00]Have you ever killed a drowned holding a trident but it didn't drop? That's because there's only an 8.5% chance that it will. But there's actually an easier way to get one using turtle eggs. If you use silk touch to pick them up and place them anywhere except sand, they'll never hatch. And funny enough, drowned will actually hunt these eggs down and try to jump on them to destroy them. So to get a lot of tridents easily, start by placing a block at the bottom of the ocean. Then outline a 7x7 platform around it, make it three blocks taller, and give it a roof. Next place a sponge to take care of the water and make a hole that's three blocks deep. Then make another hole two blocks deep in the center, place a open gate on one side and water on the other. Then from the fence, dig down 22 blocks, place a chest connected to a hopper and a slab on top. Then back at the top, place more gates here and water on both sides leading into them. Next replace these glass blocks with even more open gates and place trap doors around the edges of the hole and block in the middle. Lastly, place turtle eggs. Now when drown spawn, they'll try to attack the turtle eggs before falling into the hole. And at the bottom you can farm them for tridents.
