[0:01]This is the image of planet Earth we are most familiar with, giant land masses separated by ocean. Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa, Antarctica, and the Americas stretching out across the globe. appearing as if they have stayed like this from the beginning of time. But of course, science has shown us that this is not true, and that there was a time when these lands and water bodies that we call home, looked very different. In fact, India, which is now the sixth largest country in the world, was once part of an even greater landmass, an epic continent called Gondwanaland. The tale of its discovery is one of the greatest detective stories in geology. A search that would last for 100 years and a series of clues that would enable scientists not just to tell the story of India, but off the whole world.
