[0:18]Hi, ka-schoolers! Hello, ka-researchers! Welcome back sa ating channel. As I promised, ang pag-uusapan natin ngayon ay isa pa ulit na part ng research paper, ang conceptual framework. So, in this video, first, we'll talk about what a conceptual framework is, how it is done, what are the types of paradigms or models that we can use for this, and as a bonus, I'll give you actual sample of a conceptual framework. But there are some format na matatagpuan siya sa chapter 2. Okay, so conceptual framework. Ano ba ito at paano ba ito gawin? Conceptual framework, conceptual framework illustrates what the researcher expects to find in the research; it guides the researcher by giving clear directions to the research. So dito sa definition natin, mahahango agad natin yung importance nitong part na ito ng ating research paper. Sabi dito, parang yung SOP, it guides you towards the clear direction of your research.
[2:17]Now, another thing about conceptual framework, it explains the major variables in the study. It is a diagram representing the relationship or connections of variables.
[2:35]The simplest way to explain a conceptual framework is that it is a diagram representing the relationship or connections of variables. Ito nga, yung conceptual framework. So ayan, 'yan yung definition ng conceptual framework. Ang next na tanong natin, paano ba ito gagawin? Now, tandaan po natin, researchers do not create conceptual frameworks out of nowhere. You as a researcher must conduct comprehensive reviews of literature, which then support your conceptual framework. This way, it will make it to be more credible. Um, para sa akin, hindi tayo ngayon magfo-focus sa steps kung paano gagawin ang conceptual framework. Um, iba-iba kasi ang conceptual framework of the study, so mamaya mas maiintindihan niyo 'yan. So ngayon, ang ishe-share ko sa inyo ay yung mga dapat na i-consider sa paggawa nito. Ang una nating dapat i-consider ay ang research topic mo, o kaya naman, yung research title mo. Babaling mo 'yung research title mo at mula dito, kukunin mo 'yung mga variables nito. Then, pwede mo nang buoin 'yung conceptual framework mo. So dito, you will choose your variables and form their relationships. Now that you have chosen your variables, you have to choose how these variables are related to one another or connected to one another. Next naman ay ang research questions. Pwede mo kasing pag-basihan 'yan para makagawa ka ng conceptual framework. Next ay ang research questions. Pwede mo yang pag-basihan ng gagawin mong conceptual framework. A reason why the research question is an essential part of your conceptual framework and your overall research, this is what puts the focus and path of your study. It avoids the chances of getting lost as you write the paper. Another important thing that you should consider in making your conceptual framework is your review of related literature and studies. In our previous video, we learned that the purpose of having a literature review is to let you and your readers know about the existing ideas and information there are on your chosen topic. And as well as the weak and strong points of it. Now, by having a review of literature, this narrows down what you will be putting in your conceptual framework. Gaya ng nabanggit natin kanina, how you illustrate the diagram will differ on a case-to-case basis. But generally, variable names have to be laid out clearly and put into rectangles. Variables have to be connected with lines and arrows, and the arrowheads will differ depending on the nature of their relationships. So tandaan natin ano, hindi tayo basta-basta gagamit lang ng shapes or anumang arrows diyan sa conceptual framework natin. Remember, single head arrows are for relationships that are one-directional. For example, A affects B and B does not affect A. Yung double-headed arrows naman are for relationships that are two-directional. Example, A affects B and B also affects A. Ngayon, yung mga lines, they do not have to be limited to connecting only two variables. It can also show some relationships between more or among more variables. For example, A affects B and also C. Okay? So 'yan po ano, 'yan 'yung mga dapat nating i-consider kapag gagawa tayo ng conceptual framework. Now, to illustrate yung diagram or yung paradigm, inuulit ko po no, research paradigm. Pag sinabing research paradigm, this pertains dun sa diagrammatical presentation of your study. Ang part kasi na ito ng research paper, nandiyan yung iyong research paradigm. So, 'yan nga 'yung visual presentation, 'yung diagram, 'yung illustration or 'yung model na ginawa mo. Tapos sa ibaba naman na part, doon mo na ilalagay in paragraph form yung explanation mo sa conceptual framework ng study mo. Ayan, so maliwanag na po 'yan ah, tandaan niyo 'yung mga 'yan.
