She's also a digital marketing consultant and a business mentor. So Professor Angela, thank you very much for being here with us. The floor is yours. Thank you, thank you very much for your kind words. Thank you for the presentation. I'm very happy to be here with all of you. And this very important day. We're going to talk about a very important topic, especially in this moment in which we're living. And it's all about how to teach from the perspective of neuroeducation. Neuroeducation is a very important topic to take into account. And it is about how we can take advantage of our brain, and how our brain works in the best way that we can use it to teach. And also, to get all the knowledge in the best way possible. So we're going to share this presentation. And also, we are going to talk about how we can take advantage of all of these things. So let's start with this presentation. We have two main topics here. The first one is neuroeducation. And the second one is digital teaching. Let's begin with neuroeducation. What is neuroeducation? Neuroeducation is all about the discipline that studies the optimization of the teaching process. How can we teach in the best way possible? That's what neuroeducation is about. What can we do to make the teaching and learning process better? It integrates the knowledge in neuroscience, psychology, and education. It also makes a big emphasis in the emotions. Emotions are very important because if we don't have emotions, we are not going to be able to learn. We learn better if we feel emotions. And we are going to talk about these five keys that are very important to take into account when we are teaching. It doesn't matter if we are teaching in a face-to-face way or in a virtual way. We need to take into account these five keys. The first one is the emotions. We just mentioned that. The second one is the curiosity. The third one is the attention. The fourth one is the memory. And the last one, the fifth one, is the playfulness. So let's start with emotions. We mentioned that emotions are very important for learning. We learn when we feel something. And also, the emotions facilitate the memory. And we will see this in a moment. What can we do to motivate the emotions in our students? We need to use storytelling. We need to tell stories to our students. Also, we need to bring real examples, real cases to our students. We need to connect with them with our emotions. What do we feel when we are talking about a topic? If we are happy, if we are enthusiastic, we need to transmit that to our students. We need to ask and answer questions because this also motivates them. And also, we need to give some space to the students to talk about their feelings. The second one is the curiosity. Curiosity is a very important ingredient for learning. We need to create some space for the students to have curiosity. What can we do to motivate curiosity in our students? We need to use some questions. We need to use some challenges. We need to use games. We need to use some innovative activities and also some projects. We also need to give time for them to investigate. We need to give them some space for them to do some research, because this makes them feel very curious about a topic. The third one is the attention. Attention is very important because if we don't pay attention, we cannot learn. So what can we do to motivate the attention in our students? We need to use some dynamic activities, some interactive activities. We need to vary the activities. We need to change activities constantly, because if we do the same activity all the time, they are going to get bored. We need to integrate music. Music is a very good ingredient for us to learn. We learn when we are listening to music. And it makes the connection in our brain to learn better. We need to use a very good voice tone. And also, the modulation of the voice. We need to use some body language. And we need to give breaks to our students. If we don't give them breaks, they are going to get tired. The fourth one is the memory. Memory is very important because it's what stores the information. And it's divided in two. We have the short-term memory and the long-term memory. And what we want is that the information goes to the long-term memory. What can we do to motivate the memory in our students? We need to give them a very good emotion. We already mentioned that. We need to make it visual. It needs to be very clear, very clean. The images need to be very interesting to our students. We need to ask questions. We need to create some connections with prior knowledge. We need to help our students connect what they already know with the new information. We need to use mind maps. And we need to do some review of the information. We need to bring some summaries to them. The fifth one is the playfulness. We need to learn by playing. We need to play to learn. What can we do to motivate playfulness in our students? We need to use some games. We need to use some gamification. What is gamification? Gamification is all about using the dynamics and the mechanisms of the games to use them in the educational field. For example, giving some points, giving some prizes, giving some badges. This is gamification. We need to use some riddles. And also, we need to create some challenges. So these are the five keys that are very important to take into account when we are talking about neuroeducation. The second part is the digital teaching. And for this, we are going to introduce Professor Alejandro, which is the expert in this area. So thank you very much for this first part. Thank you. Thank you, Angela. Thank you very much for your words, for your speech. And now we have with us Professor Alejandro. Professor Alejandro has been a teacher for more than 15 years, and he has taught in some different countries, like Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador. He has also taught in Colombia, in the US, in Spain, and in other countries. He has a master's in education, a master's in marketing, and a master's in neuro-linguistic programming, also, and he has a Ph.D. in education with honors. He's also a post-doctorate in the same discipline. He's an author, and he's also a marketing consultant and a business mentor. So Professor Alejandro, thank you very much for being here with us. And the floor is yours. Thank you, thank you very much for your kind words. And thank you for the presentation. I'm very glad to be here with all of you. And especially, we're going to talk about a very important topic right now, especially in this moments that we are living, which is about digital teaching. We need to talk about three key elements when we are talking about digital teaching. We have the first one, which is the synchronous activities. The second one is the asynchronous activities. And the third one is the hybrid model. So let's start with the synchronous activities. What is a synchronous activity? A synchronous activity is when we teach in real time. For example, in a live meeting, for example, right now, this is a synchronous activity. We are connecting, and we are sharing our knowledge in real time. And also, the students are giving their questions, and we are answering them in real time. What are the advantages of the synchronous activities? The main advantage is the immediate feedback. We can get a feedback in the moment. Also, we have the interaction. We are interacting with the students in real time. We also have the community. We can create a community with the students. And we have the motivation. We can motivate our students in real time. What are the disadvantages of the synchronous activities? We have the time constraint. We need to be connected at a certain time. We have the technological limitations. We need to have a good internet connection. We need to have a good device. We also have the technical issues. We can have some technical problems. And we have the scheduling conflicts. Sometimes we cannot connect at the same time. The second one is the asynchronous activities. What is an asynchronous activity? An asynchronous activity is when we teach in a non-real time. For example, when we record a video, when we send an email, when we upload a file to a platform, this is an asynchronous activity. What are the advantages of the asynchronous activities? The main advantage is the flexibility. We can connect at any time. We can check the information at any time. We also have the self-paced learning. The students can learn at their own pace. They can take their time to learn. And we have the accessibility. We can access the information from any device, from any place. What are the disadvantages of the asynchronous activities? We have the lack of immediate feedback. We cannot get a feedback in the moment. We have the isolation. Sometimes the students can feel isolated. And we have the self-discipline. We need to have a good self-discipline to learn in this way. The third one is the hybrid model. What is a hybrid model? A hybrid model is the combination of synchronous and asynchronous activities. So we use both of them. We use the real-time teaching and the non-real-time teaching. What are the advantages of the hybrid model? The main advantage is the flexibility and the interaction. We have both of them. We also have the personalization. We can personalize the learning experience for each student. And we have the efficiency. We can be more efficient in our teaching. What are the disadvantages of the hybrid model? We have the complexity. It can be more complex to manage. We have the technological requirements. We need to have good technology. And we have the teacher training. We need to train our teachers to use this model. So these are the three key elements when we are talking about digital teaching. Thank you very much. Thank you, Alejandro. Thank you very much for your words, for your speech. And now we have a question and answer section. Please, if you have any questions, you can write them in the chat. We will be very glad to answer all of them. So let's start with the questions. We have the first question here. It says, what are the most important elements to take into account in neuroeducation? Professor Angela, can you please answer this question? Yes, thank you for the question. The most important elements to take into account in neuroeducation are the five keys that we mentioned. The emotions, the curiosity, the attention, the memory, and the playfulness. These five keys are very important to make the teaching and learning process better. Thank you, Angela. We have another question here. It says, what is the best model for digital teaching? Professor Alejandro, can you please answer this question? Yes, thank you for the question. The best model for digital teaching is the hybrid model. Because it combines the advantages of the synchronous and asynchronous activities. So we can have the flexibility and the interaction. However, it is important to take into account that it can be more complex to manage. So we need to train our teachers to use this model. Thank you, Alejandro. We have another question here. It says, how can we motivate the students in a virtual class? Professor Angela, can you please answer this question? Yes, thank you for the question. We can motivate the students in a virtual class by using the five keys that we mentioned. We need to use emotions, curiosity, attention, memory, and playfulness. Also, we need to use some dynamic activities, some interactive activities. We need to vary the activities. We need to integrate music. We need to use a very good voice tone. And we need to give breaks to our students. Thank you, Angela. We have another question here. It says, what are the challenges of digital teaching? Professor Alejandro, can you please answer this question? Yes, thank you for the question. The challenges of digital teaching are the technological limitations, the technical issues, the scheduling conflicts. Also, the lack of immediate feedback, the isolation, and the self-discipline. And also, the complexity of the hybrid model. And the technological requirements and the teacher training. So these are the main challenges. Thank you, Alejandro. We have another question here. It says, how can we make the learning process more effective? Professor Angela, can you please answer this question? Yes, thank you for the question. We can make the learning process more effective by using the five keys of neuroeducation. Emotions, curiosity, attention, memory, and playfulness. Also, we need to use storytelling, real examples, and connect with our emotions. We need to ask and answer questions. We need to give space to the students to talk about their feelings. We need to use games and gamification. And we need to give time for them to investigate. So these are the ways to make the learning process more effective. Thank you, Angela. We have another question here. It says, what is the role of the teacher in digital teaching? Professor Alejandro, can you please answer this question? Yes, thank you for the question. The role of the teacher in digital teaching is to be a facilitator, a guide, and a mentor. We need to guide our students in the learning process. We need to facilitate the access to the information. And we need to mentor them in their learning journey. Also, we need to train our teachers to use the different models and tools for digital teaching. Thank you, Alejandro. We have another question here. It says, what are the benefits of neuroeducation? Professor Angela, can you please answer this question? Yes, thank you for the question. The benefits of neuroeducation are that it optimizes the teaching process. It makes the teaching and learning process better. It integrates the knowledge in neuroscience, psychology, and education. And it also makes a big emphasis in the emotions. So it helps us to learn better, to store the information better. And to be more motivated in the learning process. Thank you, Angela. We have another question here. It says, how can we adapt the traditional teaching to digital teaching? Professor Alejandro, can you please answer this question? Yes, thank you for the question. We can adapt the traditional teaching to digital teaching by using the three key elements that we mentioned. The synchronous activities, the asynchronous activities, and the hybrid model. We need to combine them in the best way possible. And we need to use the different tools and platforms that are available for digital teaching. Also, we need to train our teachers to use these new methods. Thank you, Alejandro. It looks like we have run out of questions. So thank you very much, Professor Angela and Professor Alejandro for your valuable insights. And thank you to all the participants for being here with us today. We hope this webinar was very useful for all of you. And we hope to see you in the next one. Thank you very much, and have a good day. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
