[0:00]This is the fastest and most compact kelp farm for Donut SMP. It makes 36,000 kelp every hour using just one kelp plant and four bone meal dispensers. This farm can feed 28 smokers and make over two shulkers of dried kelp blocks every hour. I'll also show how to add a bone meal shulker unloader, so it can run for a long time without refilling it. You can send the kelp wherever you want, into smokers, a shulker loader, or storage. Let's start with the materials.

[0:37]Start by deciding where the kelp will go. Then add three dispensers around that block.

[0:49]Add one more dispenser, so they all face into one block. Make sure these are dispensers and not droppers.

[0:58]Place a note block in one corner. Add a block in the opposite corner as shown. Face the note block and add two hoppers here. The hoppers should look like this. Add another hopper into this dispenser. This is what you should have so far. Face the note block and add two hoppers here. The hoppers should look like this. Add another hopper into this dispenser. These hoppers feed the dispensers with bone meal. Go to the note block and move right two times. Add two temp blocks on this hopper. Break these two blocks.

[1:54]Stand in the hole to place an observer into the block. Break this block and the observer should look like so. Patch the hole. Take out the temp block if it went inside.

[2:10]Place an observer here towards the note block. Place an observer here towards the block. Add a redstone dust on this block.

[2:24]Add a block on this note block. Place a glass block next to this block. Then put a note block here.

[2:35]Now add a piston facing the hole. This is how your farm should look so far. Press Like if you've made it this far. Then add a double chest on the hoppers.

[2:52]Place another double chest on these hoppers.

[2:58]Place a hopper into the chest like so. Repeat the hopper on the other chest. Now make sure to add one more hopper to the left side. Make sure to place the double chest like this. The chest should have one hopper into the right. Then a hopper going into the left. This means both chests will get bone meal. Add an observer into the redstone dust. Place an observer facing towards the note block. Put another observer here.

[3:41]Place a block above the note block. Then add a note block here and the clock will work. If the clock doesn't work, check the observers.

[3:55]Place a lever and turn it on to stop the clock. This is the on/off lever for the farm.

[4:06]Add two glass blocks here.

[4:11]Then add four glass blocks like so. This is how your farm should look like so far. Locate this lever and look at the opposite side. Add a glass block then add three more on the side. Place three more glass blocks on this side. This is how it should look like.

[4:39]Place a fence gate here. Now add a water source above the gap here. Go down and plant one kelp on the floor.

[4:55]Then add another layer of glass like so.

[5:02]Add a sign here to stop the kelp growing past here. This is how your farm should look like so far. This chest is where all your bone meal goes.

[5:19]Make sure to fill up the system completely.

[5:28]This will take a few minutes to do.

[5:35]Now check the dispensers to see if they are full. If you did everything correctly, they will all be full. Now you can flick the lever to start the farm. This is what a working kelp farm looks like. This is how it looks in slow motion. The kelp gets bone meal four times per cycle. All the kelp will end up here, but you can change this. Flick the lever to stop the farm.

[6:14]Start by placing a temp block from here.

[6:21]Add a double chest to the right like this.

[6:29]Place a hopper into the chest. Then another hopper into this chest. This is how your hoppers should look like. Add a piston next to the glass here. Place a comparator on the last hopper. Add a block in front of the comparator. Put another comparator here.

[6:56]Add a sticky piston next to the block. Pillar up two slime blocks. Then two blocks over towards the piston. This is how it should look like. Add a redstone block here and this should happen.

[7:16]Place a temp block next to the redstone block. Put a dispenser facing down on this block. Make sure this is a dispenser and not a dropper. Add a shulker box with bone meal in the dispenser. Now go to this spot.

[7:33]Break the temp block and add a hopper facing down.

[7:40]Now place a double chest on the hopper.

[7:45]Add another shulker with bone meal in the dispenser. Add all the bone meal shulkers into this chest. The kelp farm uses 21 bone meal shulkers per hour. Now add an observer facing into this hopper. Go down here and place an observer facing up. This is how your shulker unloader should look like. This is what a working shulker unloader looks like. Here's proof it works on Donut SMP.
