[0:00]When you are addicted to something, you always want to get it, and the more you get it, the more you want it, and the more you want it, the more you get it. It's just a vicious circle. You need to understand the dangerous psychological effects of simply wanting something and desiring it. Because when you decide to overcome any addiction, you don't just need to resist the addiction or resist the temptation itself, but you need to fight and resist that initial thought, the initial desire for something. The moment that thought comes into your head, you need to bat it away. That is what you need to really fight. And that's the hardest part. Because when that comes it subconsciously just enters your mind and you allow it to marinate and sit in there, you won't overcome it until you master this step here. Because remember, a person is a slave to anything he can't walk away from. And anything you can't walk away from, always starts out as a thought, which becomes a desire that is then acted on once and then you're hooked on forever. Shift your focus to that initial thought and desire and that is how you will start to overcome your addictions.
