Gengar's Backstory is actually pretty sad... 🥲

[0:00]Gengar's backstory from the anime was pretty freaking sad. Just before Ash Ketchum became the world champion by using Gengar's awesome power, he belonged to this D face of a trainer. For some reason he believed that owning a Gengar left him with a curse that was ruining his life. So he decided to leave Gengar behind and promised that one day he'd return. Days and nights and days and nights and days and nights and days and nights passed, but Gengar still kept waiting with a smile on his face. At this point, years started to go by and Gengar started to doubt if his trainer would ever come back for him. But he still kept on waiting until one day he accidentally bumped into his old trainer. And he didn't show any regret so Gengar hit his ass with a shadow ball.
