Why did they delete these scenes? #coraline

[0:00]Did you know that they deleted a lot of scenes from Coraline? I carefully went through all of them, and now I'll tell you about the three most interesting ones. The first scene was supposed to happen near the beginning of the movie. Coraline has a long conversation with her mom in the kitchen. She brings her some flowers for the catalog, but all of them are already wilted. At one point, Coraline throws a spider into her mother's coffee, which later crawls out. It would have been such a cool foreshadowing of the Beldam always eating bugs. Then her mom gives Coraline a piece of paper and asks her to draw something, and Coraline sketches spirals on it. These spirals smoothly transition into the other world. The next scene is about Father. In this moment, we finally learn where that red stain on Coraline's dad's shirt came from. Ew, gross, disgusting. Charlie. Oh, pardon me for enjoying my food, but that pizza was delicious. And the most fascinating and unusual deleted scene happens closer to the end of the movie. Coraline meets Wybie and tells him that she saw his grandmother in the other world. But the way she does it is completely unexpected. I honestly didn't see this coming. Your grandma is black, right? Um, yeah. I just met her.
