Infinite basalt generator

Well, cobblestone can be used to craft a ton of items, while basalt does next to nothing. You can turn it into polished or smooth versions, but that's all. However, this ugly block does have one actually useful purpose. In the nether, you have those massive lava lakes. And to get across them, you'd normally have to waste hours bridging. But if you build a flying machine with basalt and ice, it will be created automatically.
