[0:00]This is how to set up a Jazzmaster trem unit lock button. You're going to depress the trem arm all the way down, and then you're going to find that lock button and slide it all the way back. After sliding the trem lock button all the way back, pull up on your trem arm. If you have backwards movement and you hear that clicking, that means there's not enough tension on that spring for the trem lock to work. Take a Phillips head screwdriver, and then you're going to tighten the screw for the spring tension until there is no more slack when you pull up on the trem arm. The next step would be to tune up your guitar. And then with the guitar in tune, loosen the spring tension screw until you get a tiny little click. That's it right there. So, when you push the trim lock back over, your guitar should still be in tune. And the spring tension is set up, so when you break a string, press down on the trem arm, slide it back, and your strings should go back into tune.
