[0:22]This Chamomilla is my favourite medicine, because I came to Homeopathy because of this Chamomilla. My father was working in Trichy, and I was staying in a quarters. I was sitting near the window, and suddenly a book fell on my head. The postman threw it through the window, thinking the door was locked, and I was sitting below, so it fell on my head. I picked it up, opened it, and it was a Homeopathy journal. It was from Krishnamurthy, the flower medicine Krishnamurthy. He had sent that book to the previous residents, who were interested in Homeopathy. They had vacated, and we had just moved in, so I got this opportunity. I took the book and flipped through it. The first case I saw was a Chamomilla case. They were undergoing treatment for a burn injury. One of his juniors had come, and at that time, the daughter of the burn patient came and said, "My mother is calling you; she has excessive bleeding during menstruation, and she can't get up and walk, so she's asking you to come." It was four houses away from Krishnamurthy's house. He went with his junior, and as soon as he arrived, he told the junior to collect the symptoms. The junior went closer and asked, "What's wrong?" And the woman yelled, "Stop the bleeding first!" She was already getting homeopathic treatment for her burn. The junior doctor said, "How can I collect the symptoms?" And he replied, "This is more than enough for homeopathy; let's go."
[2:03]He told the patient's child to get out, and then he said this. He kept that in mind, looked at the repertory, found "irritability, sense, nerves out of clinic," took the rubric, and saw her speech: "Stop the bleeding first!" she demanded loudly. He chose Chamomilla, taking into account her uncivil nature, and she got better. This was the first case I saw in Homeopathy. From that day until today, it has enlightened me. It showed me how to approach a case. That's why whenever I take Chamomilla, those memories come to mind, and I wanted to share them with you. The important thing here is the vital sensation of the Compositae family. It's a scald, meaning a burn caused by hot water. The Compositae family can be used for burn injuries. That's why Chamomilla introduced itself to that woman because of her burn injury. Not only did her menstruation improve, but her burn injury also started to heal thanks to Dr. Krishnamurthy's cases. Chamomilla is known to everyone. It is a children's remedy. It is a medicine from the Compositae family, the Compositae family, like Arnica, Calendula, Brotonum, Bellis. In that category, Chamomilla is a Typhoid miasmatic remedy. We don't need to be afraid of Typhoid, they are talking about a miasm that Hahnemann didn't mention. It lies between acute and psora, between acute and psora. They have given it a new name, Typhoid, so we don't need to be afraid. Chamomilla, basically, is a highly emotional and temperamental and oversensitive remedy. It's very emotional, as you know. They get angry and irritable over small things, and they can't express their anger in a civilized way. Similarly, coffee and narcotics don't suit them. Especially opium and morphine, nothing suits them. This remedy is mostly used for pregnant women, nurses, and little children. We shouldn't think that we don't need to give it to old people. The pain will be intolerable. It will drive a person to madness. Pain is intolerable, becomes mad with the pain, or magnifies her pain and prostrated. They will exaggerate their pain; they will say it's more intense than it is. And when the pain comes, they will just collapse. They won't be able to tolerate the pain. They will say they would rather die than bear the pain. That means they are exaggerating it.
[5:03]They can't bear the pain, because they have no patience. Impatience from pain. They will have no patience. They will jump and scream due to pain, they will toss about, they will run around, they will dance, you can't even describe it. They will behave like a mad person. They will demand instant relief. Giving instant relief is the Typhoid miasm. Wants to come out from the crisis at the earliest, that's their reaction pattern. This is specifically a brief overview of Chamomilla. If you look at its modality, diseases will worsen due to anger. They are heavily affected by anger. Later I will tell you what diseases they get. Also, coffee will cause problems for them. Cold air, damp air, wind, none of these are suitable. Narcotics and coffee, none of these are suitable. Alcohol. Music aggravation, imagine that. People who usually feel good listening to music, how will they be? They will be unpleasant. They are very irritable people. Also, they don't like heat. They don't like warm food. They don't like covering. Touch and looked at; they don't like being seen or touched. Better being carried. They feel better when they are petted and carried around. Mild weather suits them. Sweating makes them feel better; they like cold application. This is the modality. The important thing here is the Compositae family's vital sensation, which includes injury, hurt, burn, scald (like from hot water), fear of being approached, touch aggravation, and insult, similar to the Ranunculaceae family here in Compositae. Now, let's look at the mind picture. Children will always be crying, complaining, and behaving in an irritating way. They will cry all night, and you won't know why they are crying, but they will demand to be picked up by their mother. The mother will carry them. If the father takes them outside, they will aggravate because cold weather doesn't suit them; only moderate weather suits them. If they are taken outside, they will cry, and if they come inside, into a warm room, that will also aggravate them. So, if they are carried around, they will feel a bit better. They will demand attention, they will demand importance, that's what Chamomilla is. So, their behaviour will be ugly. Parents will feel, "Why did we have this child?" The doctor will also feel, "Why did this patient come?" There is another word for it: "cross and uncivil." They will be uncivilized, they will have no social awareness, they will be uncivil. They will take things if you tell them not to, they will open the tap if you tell them not to, and when they come into the room, into the clinic, they will turn off any switch nearby. If there is a UPS, they will turn off that switch too. It's a big problem. Here, if we have a water can, they will open it, and when they come to the clinic, they won't sit on the chair, they will jump on the weighing machine nearby. They will take pens and pencils, tear up papers, and look at books and scribble on them. If you tell them not to scribble, they will tear them up. This kind of uncivil behaviour will be there. Ugly behaviour. They will fight, they are quarrelsome. Vexed at even very small things. They get vexed at small things. They do everything abruptly. They will have an impulse within them. Aversion to being spoken. They don't like talking or listening to others, or being touched or seen by others. Even being looked at is not liked. Children will always demand to be carried around. They need to be petted, patted, and told they are good girls or good boys, then they will be very happy. They will ask for everything, and if you give it to them, they will say they don't want it. That's what capriciousness means. They don't know what they want. They will want a lot, but if you give it to them, they will say no. Because they don't know what they want, their problem is that they always want to demand something. When speaking or writing, they will omit certain words. For women, during menstruation, they will start fighting, become very stubborn, and start getting angry. They will always be hurried and hasty. They will speak very fast. They will also have hurried activities. They don't like anyone coming near them. This touch aggravation, fear of being approached, and cannot bear anyone near him, all these are vital sensations specific to the Compositae family.
[9:51]In this, Chamomilla is in a higher grade. And then, irritability, sense, nerves out of the clinic. That means when they are suffering from a disease, when they are being nursed, like their mother is taking care of them, or their father is also taking care of them. Or in the hospital, there will be nurses, and they will tell them to go away in anger. They will speak without civility. They won't have civilized language. Everyone will excuse them because they are children, but this doesn't apply only to children; adults also speak like this. Later we will see cases. These are the very important things we need to know about Chamomilla. Next, we are going to see the keynotes. Why do we need to know the keynotes? Because patients will only talk about their disease when they come. It will not be possible for them to talk about these modalities, or their natural qualities, or altered state. Even if we ask, there will be no proper answer. In such situations, these keynotes will be very useful to us. So, it is very important to know the keynotes. Now, let's look at what aggravations are there. Any affected area, if it moves, it will worsen. For example, if there is rheumatic pain in the leg, Chamomilla is a very important remedy for violent rheumatic pain. So, if the leg moves, what will happen? The pain will increase. In all places, there will be pain with numbness of the affected part. This is very important. There will be numbness in the area of pain. Benumbing pain. And then, oversensitivity of sense organs to fresh air and wind. We have already seen ailments from anger, coffee, and narcotics. Hot and thirsty, or hot sweat with the pain. Warm sweat on the head, wetting the hair, all these are their problems. And then, swelling of red one cheek and paleness of other. One cheek will be red, and the other will be pale.
[11:57]This is a unique objective symptom that you can see in a child. We shouldn't think that we should give medicine only if it's like this. You shouldn't understand Chamomilla children's view as objectively like this. If it is like this, we should consider it. Stools will be hard and sour, grass green or yellowish green. Perspiration on face after eating and drinking. They sweat more when they eat; they sweat more after eating and drinking water. And then, their soles will burn; soles are burning. They won't wear bedsheets; they won't cover themselves; they will throw them off. Dysmenorrhea, excessive pain, despair of pain. Almost vomiting, diarrhea, and faintness can also occur. There will be intolerable pain to that extent, which leads to madness. These are the necessary keynotes we need to know about Chamomilla to a certain extent. Because children come more often, they won't talk. We should be able to identify the medicine as soon as we see them. That's why it's good to know these keynotes. And then, ailments from anger and vexation. In this, you will see almost toothache after anger, headache from anger. If they get angry or vexed, they will get a headache. Similarly, stomach disorder after anger, abdominal inflammation of liver after vexation and anger. Female genitalia, inflammation of uterus after anger. Respiration, asthmatic with after anger, cough from anger, chill after anger. Fever after vexation and anger. Perspiration from anger, convulsion after anger. See how many diseases anger causes. These children, if their mother gets angry or punishes them, they will get sick. So, one reason for these children being uncivil is their temperament, and also their parents are a reason. Their diseases increase and consolidate due to their father's upbringing. Similarly, we need to know what happens if they drink coffee. They become very sensitive after drinking coffee, they get dizziness, headache. They feel weak. They get toothache, stomach pain, abdominal aching. Similarly, respiration difficulty after coffee, back pain, chillness after abuse of coffee. There is no connection between coffee and Chamomilla. Coffee is an aggravating factor. All stimulants are aggravating factors, like alcohol, narcotics, opium, morphine, all these are substances that affect Chamomilla. Next, we are going to look at cases. See how I have applied the cases. I have only used what I have studied so far, I have not used anything beyond Materia Medica. I have included all the things I have talked about so far in the cases. I have about 10 cases to tell about Chamomilla, the first case is breast cancer. She had breast cancer and was undergoing treatment at Apollo in Madras. It was in her right breast and it was inverted. It went inside, swelled up here, and the upper part of her left breast also swelled up, and then her whole arm swelled up. She underwent hormonal therapy, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, everything, and the doctors said they couldn't do anything more and told her to take her home. She was at home and felt fine, ate well, and had no pain at all, that's the difference. I was studying in college then. They were my relatives, so they trusted me and came, saying the doctor couldn't do anything, and asked me to do something. I went and asked her, "What's your problem?" She said, "Nothing, no problem at all, but it's swollen here, and I've had all therapies, and they said they can't treat it anymore."
[16:10]What medicine can I give then? Opium. I gave Opium 3x. You won't believe it, first there was a skin eruption. Below the breast, there was a skin eruption. She had already suppressed eczema, and it flared up here. As it flared up, what happened was the swelling from her left hand, from her fingers, gradually decreased, and all this swelling decreased. The swelling on the upper part of her left breast also decreased, and the right side also decreased, and the inverted breast came back to normal shape, body structure, everything. She was very fat after chemotherapy and all that, her face was swollen, all of that decreased and she came back to normal, and her breast also became normal. But there was a big hole there. After that hole came, what happened to her was that until then she was fine, suddenly her vital force started decreasing, and she went into a coma. She didn't suffer any pain. Before she went into a coma, in the moments leading up to it, she had pain in her lower back. She couldn't tolerate that pain. Before the pain came, there was no rocking, but after the pain came, she started rocking. She would keep rocking to and fro. When the pain came, she couldn't tolerate it. Before the pain came, there was no rocking; it started only after the pain came. I only took this as a symptom, that she couldn't tolerate the pain and rocking amelioration, and I gave Chamomilla 6C. The pain immediately subsided within half an hour, and she gradually went into a coma and passed away in three or four days. Chamomilla successfully provided a palliative death. That's why Chamomilla is called the Opium of Homeopathy. It's a difficult cancer case. Almost, it takes you to a bad situation. Intolerable pain. Instead of dragging on the pain for a long time, Chamomilla can provide a palliative death. Chamomilla successfully did this. Second case, a wheezing case. A child who was very smart and beautiful to look at. We would yearn for that child to come; that's how beautiful the child was. But as soon as they came to the clinic, we would get scared. They would throw everything, jump here and there, dance, and no matter what you did, they wouldn't stop. Their parents would try everything, but nothing would work. In my clinic, the patient's chair has a hole in the back for air circulation. This child would go behind their father and mess with him, because Chamomilla children are very mischievous. Chamomilla children are very mischievous. He put his hand in that hole and leaned back on his father. He couldn't tolerate the pain. Looking at that child's face and beauty, what kind of words came to mind? "Hey, get out!" Look. This is very important. That child spoke through that language about who they are. This is non-human specific word. I gave Chamomilla to that child. I gave Chamomilla about four or five doses in total. The wheezing was there since birth. The child was five years old when they came to me, but the wheezing was there since birth. It completely cured in four months and became well. Even today, they have no problem, and their family members come. Next, a pleurisy case. Those who escaped from TB ward. This boy, when he came, he smelled very bad, an unbearable smell. They would open the gate of my house, and I would be inside, but I would know he had come because of the smell. He had a bag tied here with a hole in it, and daily 150 ml of discharge would come out, that's why the smell. At that time, I looked at various symptoms and saw that he had homosexual tendencies. I gave him Lycopodium, and the discharges came down from 150ml to 50ml. And the smell also decreased, but it didn't completely drain the pus. I continued to monitor the case, and one day there was a problem between his mother and him because a homosexual partner had come home. His mother noticed this and started scolding him, saying, "If you bring him home again, I will beat you." Immediately, he pulled out the tube that was there for draining the pus, and he was admitted to the hospital. He had severe breathing difficulty. Then I gave him Ammon Mur and he got better. Because of his anger towards his mother. Next, he underwent an operation. During the operation, he couldn't tolerate the pain, he was screaming in pain. So, they called me and asked me to come and see him. I went inside. When I went inside, his mother was in the ICU. As soon as he saw his mother, he said, "Hey, get out!" He didn't say anything else, I just came straight and asked someone to send him, he just came straight from the clinic and I gave him Chamomilla 6C. The pain immediately subsided within half an hour. Irritability, sense, nerves out of the clinic, this is the rubric that needs to be used here. Next, another case, gallbladder. A two-year-old child, almost one and a half years old. 2.9 centimeters, 29 mm. They admit him to the hospital, and they say they can't do anything and need to remove the gallbladder. They were looking for a homeopathic doctor, and at that time, my name came up, and I was introduced to them. They came to see me, and they said, "Sir, this child has 2.9 centimeters." I got scared. I didn't know what to do. I asked them to tell me the child's nature, and they said, "We don't know why we had this child, sir." "It's very difficult, sir, we don't know how to raise this child." "We can't live with this child, it's so much trouble, crying, complaining, fighting, hitting, kicking." They will keep saying "nayanayananaya." It's difficult; they will ask to be carried around. "We can't tolerate it, sir." "It's very difficult." "Why did we have this child?" they asked. Chamomilla, Chamomilla 6. At most, they would have taken three doses. The pain stopped immediately. Four months later, they took a scan, and there was no 2.9 centimeter stone in the gallbladder. See how Chamomilla worked. This is Homeopathy. Next, a delivery case. They asked for medicine from me for delivery. If you ask about that lady's nature, they still can't say anything, and if you ask if there's any pain, they say there's no pain. I didn't know what medicine to give. Suddenly, labor pain started. When the labor pain started, the woman went crazy, she couldn't tolerate the pain. She ran everywhere, cursed everyone, hit everyone in the house, called me names, and threatened to go to the hospital. She said, "Take me to the hospital and operate immediately, I can't bear the pain, I can't bear the pain." They made all arrangements for the operation, and at this time, her husband told me, "Sir, please buy Chamomilla 30 from the homeopathy store and give it to her, she will have a normal delivery, it's the correct medicine, please give it to her." So he stopped the car, bought Chamomilla from the homeopathy store, and put it in her mouth. Just before going to the operation theatre, they gave it to her, and when they saw her, the mouth opened, and the child came out, and it was a normal delivery. They avoided surgery. This is impatience from pain, intolerable from pain, leads to madness. I want it to be cured immediately. This is what I first studied in Materia Medica. I applied all this here and gave the medicine. Another case, severe dysmenorrhea, painful menses, vomiting, diarrhea, and then fainting. This is their routine pattern. This happens every month, and it has been happening for almost six or seven months. Every time they went to the doctor, I gave them Chamomilla. I asked about her nature and everything, and because she had Chamomilla's character, I gave her Chamomilla, and she got better. Next, a 10-year-old boy, he would say his feet burn when he sleeps at night. He would say it burns and cover his body, but he wouldn't cover his feet with the bedsheet.

Cold application, or he would open the tap and keep his feet in the water. He would wake up at 2 am and do this. A 10-year-old boy, I gave him Chamomilla. Almost three doses at most. The pain stopped immediately.
