[1:01]Hey guys. So a lot of you guys have been asking, how exactly do you work three remote jobs at the same time? So instead of making another talking video, another explaining video, I just thought, let me take you guys through a realistic day in my life. Like to actually show you the ins and outs of how I manage everything. So my day typically starts off at 5:00 in the morning because I get up at 5:00 to go to the gym. I always think that and believe that a great start to the morning, I'm trying to be motivational but a great start to the morning carries me throughout the entire day. So what I would do now, uh, start in the car. There we go. Wake up my baby. Then get the air cons on because like it's been raining, so I like my windows to be a little bit clear because right now they look so foggy. I can't drive before they get clear. So while I wait for that for the windows to clear up, I like to always do a little short prayer before I drive every day because as much as I can be a good driver, I don't know the next person, honestly. Maybe they might break a little late, just ram into me. I don't know, but I always just do a little prayer before I leave the house because a lot happens on the road and especially now towards the festive season. That's where like, I think that's where we have the highest number of accidents happen throughout the year. So yeah, just going to bow down and just do a little prayer.
[2:55]And Amen. Okay. So right about now, I should be good to go. So yeah.
[5:02]It is officially the start of the work day and before I do anything else, I like to write down my tasks for the day so that I don't forget anything and nothing falls between the cracks. So yeah.
[5:23]Job number one is being a content manager and I really love this job. I mean, I do love all my jobs, but this is a job that is like my favorite because it comprises of everything marketing. I've been working on this position for a little over a year now. It's a full-time position and honestly, it's one of those jobs that really sets the tone for my entire day. Most mornings start with emails. I do open up my laptop and go straight into Outlook. I'm not a big fan of Outlook because I come from using Gmail, but then I had to shift over to Outlook because my entire team uses Microsoft Office-based apps. So yeah, I just check in what came in overnight because we work across different time zones. In the USA, we have people working in the ESG time zone and also in the PSG time zone and I am working in the South African time zone and so like and we also have people working in the Philippines. A lot of different emails come in during different times of the day and when I get in, I have to check in on what happened overnight. I just respond to those updates and then I check for new tasks, approve content drafts and update whatever needs to be updated to move forward for the day. And then I go on to using Asana and Asana is like my boss at this point because that's where I managed all my deadlines, all my marketing projects, all my blog calendars, all the content planning that I'm doing. Most of the times I will be using Asana to see what needs to be done and also just email campaigns on there as well. So it's literally everything. And then yeah, sometimes I'm updating WordPress, sometimes I'm preparing briefs, sometimes I'm reviewing someone else's draft. It just depends on what we what week we're in and what needs to be done. And the content manager position takes up the most brain power because it's all round full-on marketing. So I usually keep this job for the morning when my energy is still high and fresh. And honestly, after doing this for so long, I've found my rhythm. I know what means deep focus and what I can do quickly while watching an episode of cartoons.
[8:21]And no, I'm not just mindlessly scrolling.
[9:09]It's currently 1 PM. I will be stepping out for lunch. As you can see, I have switched off all electronics because I am not taking my work with me for lunch. So yeah, I'm just going to go for lunch. I'm done with the first four hours of my first job. So when I come back from lunch, I'll be doing still my first job, but it's going to be some light work and I do have a meeting after lunch at 2 PM. And then clock in for my second job.
[10:17]Guys, I just got back from lunch right now and I am about three minutes late for my meeting. So we're just going to join in right about now.
[10:35]Okay, so I was checking the because I'm busy writing the welcome email sequence and I did see that, oh, that's annoying.
[10:53]Then my second job of the day is being a copywriter. This is a full-time position and I've been doing it for about eight months now and it's one of the jobs that gives me the most flexibility. I usually do it in the afternoon when my first job slows down or like there's nothing to do on there or maybe I'm just waiting for approvals. Copywriting is basically an mix of writing product descriptions, blog posts, email campaigns, email copy, website copy, landing pages, anything that the company needs to write. It's very email heavy and I'm always sending drafts back and forth, asking questions or replying to feedback like, can you make the sound more professional or please adjust this section? And now for this job, it's literally me, ChatGPT and Microsoft Word in the trenches together. ChatGPT is my best friend for this job. I use it to brainstorm ideas, rephrase sentences, fix structure, generate variations, or just help me get unstuck when the words just aren't wording. And then I just take everything into Microsoft Word where I clean it up, edit, adjust the formatting and the structure and make it sound like how exactly the company wants it to sound. So this combination of using ChatGPT and Microsoft Word saves me so much time. ChatGPT is also with the creative flow and Microsoft Word is where I polish up everything before delivering the final draft. My copywriting hours are usually very quiet. It's deep focus moment where I have my headphones on, coffee next to me and fingers just flying all over the keyboard. And sometimes it could be pretty dry because I'm just staring at the screen like, oh my God, what should I even write about today or where do I even start? But yeah, I really like this job. I've spoken about my copywriting journey in a previous video, if you want to check it, how I got started, how I got into it and all of that, I will link it in the description and in the comments so you guys can check it out. But yeah, it's pretty fun work, honestly.
[14:22]So it's currently 8:00 PM. I've clocked out of job one. I've finished all my test for the day. And then for my second job, it's now in the afternoon in the USA, so not a lot of things happening in the afternoon. It's pretty much I'm just on standby, responding to messages and emails when it comes to the bulk of my work. I already got it done in the afternoon. And then I am now clicking in for my third remote job, which is a part-time position, two to three hours per day. So I'm starting at 8:00 and I'm going to finish at 11:00.
[15:15]Job number three is being a part-time social media manager. This was my very first job when I stepped into marketing. This was the job that opened the doors for every other marketing position that I got. I've been working as a social media manager for three and a half years now and it's the job that feels so much lighter than all the other jobs because after a whole day of doing heavy editing, spending my time on word documents, all of that, I just need some creativity. I just need to design a poster, design a Facebook post, you know, it's a little bit different from the other jobs that I do. And as much as it feels light, I'm still always doing a little bit of something. I use Canva for designs, Meta Business Suite or Buffer for scheduling, and Google Drive for organizing everything. And then throughout the day, I just keep checking if anything needs responding to or adjusting. So this is the job that feels very light among everything because my design posts, my design process can take up just an hour and then the other hours I just spend seeing how those posts are performing. It's more creative and more relaxed compared to the other two, which actually balances my day out very nicely.
[16:39]Okay, so it's now 11:00 PM. I am officially done with work and yeah, what I'm going to do now? I'm just going to wash my face and brush my teeth and then go to sleep. So this is what a typical day in my life looks like from waking up at 5 AM to go to the gym and finishing my last job at 11 PM. So if you stayed till this far, thank you so much for watching. I really appreciate that and this is basically how I manage working three remote jobs. All right then, thank you so much for watching and I will see you in the next one.
