[0:00]If you flew to Mars, landed right here and looked down, you'd see a titanium tube about the size of a cigar, covered in orange dust.
[0:08]What is that? And then if you walked here, you'd find nine more. And if you opened one up, you'd see a perfectly preserved chalk-sized cylinder of four billion year old Martian rock or air, collected from the area that you're standing in, which was once a lake.
[0:22]It was collected by this little rover, which has even more samples inside its belly. And these tubes are a big deal because scientists think they might contain evidence of ancient microbial life on Mars!
[0:33]Especially this one: sample 25, which contains a rock with these little leopard spots on it, which really look like a pattern made by microbes on Earth.
[0:42]So there is possible evidence of alien life sitting there, waiting to be picked up on Mars! And we've got to get at home to study it.
