Rotana’s Shaikha Al Nowais highlights public-private synergy and leadership agility

[0:05]Today we're speaking to Sheika Al Nuwais, and it's been an amazing three days so far. What has been your experience? Uh, attending the International Hospitality Investment conference here at Berlin has been very affirming and energizing so far. Um, over the course of several productive meetings with CEOs, investors, public sector figures, uh, it was very um, uh, uh encouraging to see. And especially the the support the private sector has been getting, especially when it comes to tourism development. And so what stood out to you the most, you know, so far? What stood up to me the most was that everyone from the private sector and from the tourism sector as well has been very much aligned on um uh what uh what leadership entails in this uh industry. They all agreed that operational uh expertise and experience uh, uh, commercial uh expertise as well and commercial mindset. Um, uh, being able, having the agility uh to uh to to be able to um keep up with the changes, the fast changes that has been happening in the industry is key to be able to survive and accomplish in in in a in a sector like that. The feedback I received particularly from those who have championed public private collaborations was clear. Having someone from the private sector uh lead such an uh such an such an important engagement. As the role of the Secretary General of the United Nations World Travel Organization is not timely but essential. So what does the future look like? Yeah, this reinforces my my belief that the future of tourism lies in building frameworks that are both visionary and grounded in in execution. The hospitality and tourism industry is evolving very fast, and it's encouraging to see how ready global leaders are to partner, invest, and to co-create the next chapter. All right.
