Let's get started with an alkaline diet plan to lose up to 5 kilos in three days. You begin your day with warm water and fresh lemon juice. Take a glass and fill it with warm water. Next add juice of one or half a lemon, depending on the size of the lemon. Stir and enjoy. Though lemons are acidic outside the body, but once metabolized, they have an alkalizing effect. Helping your body maintain a more balanced pH, which improves enzyme function and digestion. It's the easiest way to wake up your digestion, flush out toxins, and fire up your metabolism. After 20 minutes, have five soaked almonds and two walnuts. This combo gives your body healthy fats, protein, and a subtle energy boost. These provide unsaturated fats, protein, and key minerals like magnesium, which support metabolic function and stabilize blood sugar. Just a note, if you're allergic to nuts, then swap them out for pumpkin or sunflower seeds. Now for breakfast, have a refreshing green smoothie. This isn't just a drink, it's a plant power in a glass. Blend together one cucumber, one chopped apple, a handful of fresh mint leaves, juice of half a lemon, and half a cup of coconut water or plain water. Cucumber acts as a natural diuretic, reducing puffiness and fluid retention. Mint has antispasmodic properties that calm the digestive tract and apple offers soluble fiber to regulate blood sugar. You can also add in a teaspoon of chia seeds or flax seeds for added fiber and omega-3 fats, that support fat burning hormones and reduce inflammation. The smoothie is low in sugar, high in hydration, and great for beating bloating. If your stomach is sensitive to raw foods, then start with a smaller portion. By mid-morning, reach for a bowl of fresh fruit, orange, pineapple, or watermelon. I have a bowl of watermelon. These fruits aren't just sweet, they're full of water, enzymes, and vitamins that help your body stay alkaline and energized. Pineapple in particular has bromelain, an enzyme that helps reduce inflammation and aids digestion. If you are diabetic, then keep the portion small or choose a lower GI fruit like berries. Along with a bowl of fresh fruit, sip on a cup of Tulsi or mint herbal tea. These herbs support digestion, calm the nervous system, and help your body stay in an alkaline state. For lunch, have a bowl of cooked quinoa or foxtail millet. Both are gluten-free, fiber rich, and help keep your blood sugar steady. To make fluffy quinoa, I use 1 and 3/4 cup of water for every cup of quinoa. Any more water and the grains get mushy, any less and they are too dry. Once you have measured both, follow these easy steps. Combine the quinoa and water in a medium pot and turn on the heat. Adding salt is completely optional, but if you're adding salt, then you may add as per taste, but ensure to not use white salt. Any other mineral salt is fine. When it starts to boil, cover and reduce the heat. Simmer for 15 minutes. Remove the pot from the heat and let it sit, covered for 10 more minutes. Then remove the lid and fluff with a fork. Now your quinoa is cooked to fluffy perfection. But it's plain on its own, so pair it with a generous serving of lightly salted alkaline vegetables, like bell peppers, carrots, cooked in olive oil. The olive oil gives you healthy fats, and the veggies are loaded with antioxidants and water. Also have a raw salad of cucumber to aid digestion. Avoid heavy spices and salt. In the evening, snack on carrot or cucumber sticks with a small serving of green chutney, made from mint, coriander, pink salt, and lemon juice. It's zesty, hydrating, and full of cleansing herbs that support your liver and kidneys. Follow that with a glass of Moringa drink. Moringa naturally suppresses hunger because of its rich fiber load and increases the body's metabolism. Moringa is high in chlorophyll, thus supporting the blood and the cardiovascular system. Being mineral rich, Moringa is highly alkaline. Dinner is kept low calorie, easy to digest, gentle and soothing. A bowl of sweet potato soup or wet soup gives your body warmth without overload. To make the soup, take a saucepan and add two cups of water. Next add one cup of alkaline veggies. I'm using frozen sweet potato, Brussels sprouts, red onion, zukini, and carrot combo. Add pink salt and black pepper as per the taste. I'm also adding dried herbs like thyme, rosemary, and oregano. Now give a quick stir and put on the lid. Let it cook for 15 to 20 minutes. When all the veggies are cooked, turn off the heat. Shift to a bowl and enjoy. Before bed, unwind with a cup of fennel or chamomile tea. Both support digestion, reduce bloating, and help your body relax for deeper sleep, and better sleep means better weight loss. So this final step is crucial. In these three days, you're not just eating to lose weight, you're eating to reduce systemic stress, improve gut health, stabilize blood sugar, and help your body return to a more balanced state. When you eat clean, move gently, hydrate deeply, and rest well, your body responds fast. Throughout the day, stay hydrated with at least 1 to 1.5 liters of my flat belly diet drink. Drink from glass or steel bottles if possible and stay away from any plastic bottles. For movement, keep things gentle. Walking, stretching or light yoga is perfect. This plan is about nourishing, not pushing your body too hard. And for the best results, avoid dairy, processed foods, caffeine, white rice, sugar and fried items completely during these three days. This diet plan is safe for all, including PCOS, PCOD, thyroid, as well as diabetic patients. Stick to this plan and by day three, you'll feel lighter, more energized and noticeably less bloated.
