[0:00]Welcome to IGM Guru. IGM Guru is one of the global leading online training and certification provider for IT expert by the skilled IT Gurus to help them achieve their professional goals. So this is about SAP Analytics Cloud, which is one of the latest tools from SAP in the areas of descriptive analytics and combining predictive analytics and also some of the planning functionalities. Yeah. Okay. So, I'll just begin with some introduction part. Meantime, the other participants can join and then we can go in understanding about the course and the you would have always seen a course curriculum. We'll see about the some basic features of SAP cloud and what will be learning in this course. Okay. So, let's begin. So, in this I'll cover some of the benefits and what is the positioning of SAP Cloud and what are the various deployment options. And how this new technology which has been developed by SAP can help in increasing the business opportunities for the clients. Now, if you see in this slide, you would see there is a huge information explosion which is happening in today's world. Now, this disruptive power of digital transformation illustrates how the decent transformation is disrupting today's IT businesses. Every small, medium scale industry or small medium scale companies, they want to set up their own IT infrastructure, they want to work on cloud, they want to do perform their complete workloads on cloud. And they are moving from traditional on-premise hardware to a cloud subscription. And you're already aware of some of the largest cloud providers like AWS, Azure, then we have Alibaba in China and IBM Cloud in US and so on. And also, SAP has made its presence in SAP cloud from 2010 onwards. So, they have released various products like SAP Cloud Platform, which is a pass platform. Then they have SAP Enterprise Cloud Platform, which is a infrastructure as a service, platform as a service and also called as Hana Enterprise Cloud. Then you all have also heard about SAP S4 Hana coming in cloud in 2015 and various new services like your AP on Cloud, then C4C, Cloud for customers, then microservices development on cloud. And SAP is putting a lot of efforts in cloud development and expanding their cloud portfolio. And if you see this slide, then you can see that how there is a hyper connectivity between people, process and things and data. Okay? So, people, earlier we were just bothered about the technical, you know, the business processes, how it gets executed, but now this process is like your sales order. Or now your, now this sales order is connected to the inventory item. So, it can quickly check what all the items are there in the inventory and then place a sales order accordingly. So, once the sales order is placed, it will check with data and check like what is the which are the right vendors to do what are the most, you know, vendors which has the highest rating. And such kind of analytics can be brought in enterprise environment as well. And most of the companies are bringing this people, processes, Internet of Things and data together to become disruptive in their own industries. Okay? The organizations which can tap this hyper connectivity are called as a disruptor. And this decision economy is the digital economy. That means the more smarter, more timely decisions that you're going to make, the stronger your business will come out of it. And you can see there are different matrices which can support like how many billion devices are connected by 2020. How many, 75% of the business to business buyers use social media. Nowadays in recruitment itself, they ask for your LinkedIn profile, Facebook, Twitter account. Then what is the growth in global cloud data traffic by 2020, 3.7 times the digital traffic will move through different vendors of cloud. And here are some of the facts like the largest disruptors, they don't own any piece of hardware, they don't own any piece of real estate. They don't even have their own inventory, but they're still the largest disruptors because of the cloud services, because of the subscription based models their business is run on. Okay? So, and if you see, these are the some of the executive summary pages which will tell that how many executives will agree that decisions are to be made in real time and how many decisions are distributed across different global organizations. Now, now what is, let's first understand what is the problem with the current landscape. Now, the current landscape is the decision making process. Decision making is basically a process. And to succeed in this digital economy, we need to have all the key factors of insight, decision and your action. Okay? So, this will basically allow the key decision makers to take all these factors and then come up with a decision. And this is a cyclic process, that means you can see based on the insights, what they do, they take a decisions. And based on the decisions what they do, they take an action like going for these vendors, going for this purchase or what is the most optimized route for purchasing. What is the allocations and so on. Okay? So, now this can be used for SAP customers as well. A lot of non-SAP customers use their own specific tools and work with that.

[7:18]And in this digital decision making process, SAP can help to lead the organization and address the challenges of data proliferation from enterprise data, big data, IoT and beyond. And SAP can transform all of your data and create a foundation of the digital enterprise. Now, this digital enterprise can be used for insights to drive innovations. Insights to create business value, insights to perform business as usual. Okay? So, this slide, you will see here is the These are the different solutions which are provided by different vendors.

[8:18]Like there are business intelligence solutions provided by micro, Tableau, Microsoft, Clicktech and so on. Then there are predictive scenarios provided by SAS platform, then you have IBM, then you have open source platform like Python, R, then you have data miner, rapid miner, then SQL. So, these are the various places where you can see the predictive capabilities provided by different windows. Then you have some planning capabilities by Oracle Hyperion, Anaplan and so on.

[9:17]Now, if you see this figure, you will see that all the that the business intelligence, planning, predictive are fragmented in today's market. And they only provide one part of the complete picture. None of the tools provide all the three requirements of the analytics required in ERP or a business environment.

[10:16]Now, earlier before software became the de facto standards in everyday's life, so earlier this was done by planners, those who were having industry experience. And we, the organization used to hire these planners to understand and estimate how much time and effort it will take to build this product, ship this project, procure all the components, assemble all the components or how many resources are required so this was done by the planners. And then predictive used to tell, okay, they used to buy reports from analysts saying that this is a market for maybe now cloud computing. They're predicting in 2020, Amazon will perform this much. AWS, sorry, Google Cloud will perform this much. SAP Cloud will perform this much. So, this was done by analyst. Earlier analyst used to provide insights based on their own finding, market research, customer requirement, customer adoption and so on and then used to come to a predictive analysis. Now, no one is a Steve Jobs, right? No one can predict like what customers will want. Now, with advent of software, lot of tools came which allowed the teams to run automated machine learning algorithms to understand the predictive requirements. And then take immediate actions within a business process. Some of the predictive actions can be whether a decision being made by the board or from the frontline or the decision can be made by the developer to quickly fix certain, you know, code lines. Decision made by both to scrap a product if it is not being received properly by the customers. Okay? And so on. Now, a lack of integration between all these three was causing that data should process at each level and then passed between the different responsible persons or the teams to get a complete level of analytics. Now, these SAP customers face this challenge with fragmented analytics solution day in, day out. And for this reason, SAP has created a product called as SAP Analytics Cloud. Now, SAP Analytics Cloud is a new generation of software as a service, which redefines the analytics in cloud, providing all the analytical capabilities whether it is business intelligence or descriptive analytics, or planning capabilities, or predictive capabilities and so on. Now, SAP Cloud, as the name suggests, it is built on SAP Cloud platform for extreme performance. And it allows customers to simply access to a new public cloud experience, they can trust. With SAP Cloud, you can simplify various elements of your business. Like you will have ability to discover, create wonderful visualizations, create plans, use allocations, use tree charts and also use some of the standard predictive scenarios. Like your classification, regression and time series analysis into your core components of your business. We can also simplify the IT landscape instead of having dedicated servers, hardwares, software licenses for all the three components of business intelligence, planning and predictive. You need to have one solution which can perform all the activities. Apart from this, it also has a digital board room which allows you to present your visualizations very effectively to the board room members, executives, C- level, also and in front of customers as well. Okay? Apart from this, it has capabilities to connect to various types of SAP and non-SAP sources. It can connect to all data either big or small to get new insights and which can enrich the analysis. Okay? So, in short, I can say, SAP Analytics Cloud is a very new and completely different product designed around you versus technology. That means I'm combining SAP's combining all the capabilities of different tools into a single tool. And it has gained quite a lot of momentum among the customers. And customers are quite happy to see the stunning visualizations you can create. The AI and the ML based smart capabilities in predictive analytics, planning scenarios and in just one single tool. And also it connects to the underlying SAP Hana ECC, your SAP Cloud and so on, which allows you to have a seamless integration between different solutions whether it is on premise or on cloud to SAP Cloud. Okay? Now, since this is a SAS solution, provided from world's largest enterprise and analytics application, so your data is residing on SAP Cloud. Which is encrypted by its own encryption algorithms and the data orchestration engine is done through SAP Hana. So, data is quite safe within SAP Cloud. And you also have different layer of security, which will allow you to keep the data more safe.

[17:16]Okay? So, this is your features of SAP Analytics Cloud. So, as I told, this is a software as a service. That means it is hosted on SAP Cloud as a service. And it is given as a separate subscription to SAP Cloud customers. You do not need to purchase or have any setup required for the SAP Cloud. You can access this using your browser. And for a browser-based application as well. It is quite efficient. That means it can load two billions of records within few seconds. It can analyze almost 10 million records by sub sampling in few seconds and it will give you the data profiling so that you can have a insights about the data. So, it takes some of the role of a data scientist as well. And those users who use SAP Analytics Cloud, they are called as resident data scientist. Okay? So, I'll come to that how the data science part is covered through SAP Analytics Cloud. Let's first understand what are the other features of SAP Analytics Cloud. So, we saw there are three main pillars of SAP Analytics Cloud. One is the business intelligence portfolio. Second is your planning and third is your predictive capabilities. So, using this, you can perform and create a stories. You can create dashboards on SAP Analytics Cloud which are called as stories and publish these stories for your customers or for your organization. Then it also has some of the data enhancements or data matching or data transformation capabilities like you can combine the data. You can extract some data, you can start sharing some data and so on. Apart from this, you can also run a simulation that how will your project allocation, fund allocation will look like if you go for this. It will also tell you some of the smart discovery and automated insights in SAP Analytics Cloud. So, we'll see about how it can use smart discovery, smart predictive and also use predictive automated forecasting scenario in SAP Analytics Cloud. Then we talked about like it is a combined unified experience of BI, planning and predictive in one service. Then it has also got offline and live data connectivity to your SAP and non-SAP systems. It can connect to Google Drive, it can connect to all data services, it can fetch data from enterprise applications. And once you build your dashboards, once you build your presentations, you can build a digital board room to present it to your executives. Okay? So, this is a big picture what you can see. Now, SAP Analytics Cloud is a subscription based service hosted on SAP Cloud platform.

[21:32]And the SAP so this, if you see on the right hand side, the green one is the SAP Analytics Cloud and this is sitting on SAP Hana platform. And Hana platform or the cloud platform has own capabilities of data management, application development, analytical development, DevOps, experience services, design, security, management, workflow, integration services and so on. And it allows you to connect to SAP Vora, which is the SAP's big data solution in combination with Hadoop and allows you to connect with different BI suite, EPM, predictive, business warehousing and so on. With this cloud platform through a cloud agent, SAP Analytics Cloud can connect to IoT data. It can connect to SuccessFactors. It can connect to various other enterprise software as a service like your Concur, Fieldglass, Ariba and so on directly with SAP Analytics Cloud. It can also connect to the SAP Business suite, ECC. It can connect to SAP S4 Hana on premise or on cloud as well. So, what are the capabilities you can do? You can create your dashboards on SAP Analytics Cloud. You can build your predictive scenarios. You can build your planning scenarios and you can build your digital board room. Apart from this, you can also build your analytical applications. You can build your own analytical applications which can be deployed on SAP Analytics Cloud, just like if you have used SAP Business Objects designer earlier or SAP Lumira designer earlier. Similar way you can build your analytical applications here as well. Okay? Now, let's see what are the and uh, are you from SAP Business Objects background? No. Okay. Fine. Then no worries. So, I just want to tell that SAP says that they will not they will continue developing the Business Objects platform. And they'll maintain the Business Objects applications. They'll just merge the use cases into SAP Analytics Cloud like data discovery, Business Objects Explorer, and then Rambi, and uh, Lumira desktop, uh, data discovery, analysis for OLAP. So, this will be part of the Lumira Cloud and this will be part of the data discovery scenarios.

[25:33]And Business Objects Web Application Designer, WAD, Business Objects Dashboard, Business Objects Design Studio will continue to be part of the Lumira 2.0 product pipeline and focus on the dashboard and application.

[28:10]Then Office integration will be done through live office, enterprise management add-on, then SAP BEX Analyzer through analysis office. This is another product, which is basically a plugin on Microsoft Excel to perform all this. Then we have SAP Business Objects set analysis, desktop intelligence, which were mostly for the on-premise systems. So, Crystal Report, Web Intelligence, reporting on those things will be done by SAP traditional SAP tools. Okay. Now, let's understand what are the different components of SAP Analytics Cloud. So, we talked about first about the business intelligence. So, BI is the core capability of SAP Analytics Cloud and it provides significant advantages in accessing the data. Data can be accessed to from Cloud and on-premise data from your browser itself. So, I'll just show you a SAP Analytics Cloud sample as well. Okay? So, here you can see, I have a system of SAP Analytics Cloud. So, you can say, create a story or create analytics applications. Create a model, data sets, dimensions, pointer and interest, and a predictive scenario and you can also connect to different systems. So, here you have Google Export. So, you can you can connect to a Google Drive or you can connect to different types of live data connectivity. So, if I say I can connect to SAP Hana, I can connect to SAP BPC, SAP BW, SAP S4 Hana and also to SAP Business Objects Universe. Plus, these are live data connectivity options. If I want, I can connect to different 27 different non-live or on offline connections. That is your business by design analytics, Cloud for customer, Cloud for customer analytics, SAP Concur, Fieldglass, Hana, SAP integrated business planning, SAP S4 Hana, IBP, SuccessFactors, workforce analytics, Dow Jones, connect to a file server, Google's big query, Google Drive, OData services, and this Amazon S3 as well. Dropbox. Then you have ignite, the Microsoft Analytics CRM, Microsoft OneDrive, NetSuite, SFTP element, and any other traditional SQL database like Oracle, MS SQL as well. Okay? Then, so these are the different sources you can connect. And you can, this is obviously with SAP's own tools like BW Business Warehousing, SAP Hana, SAP Cloud Platform. So, it provides a very seamless integration. In case if you want to connect, since this is on cloud, in case if you want to connect to an on-premise Cloud, on on-premise tools like your BW on Netweaver, or your Enterprise Hana. So, you'll have to go through a cloud connector. And through this Cloud connector, connect the Enterprise applications like BW, ECC or Hana to SAP Analytics Cloud. Okay? Next is your visualizations. And how you can you build your views? So, you can create your visualizations, very effective visualizations. I'll just show you a sample.

[32:16]So, this is a sample in which you can see there is a revenue analysis where we have multiple tabs. This is a summary chart which you show mostly to executives or to in your board meetings and so on. And then you have a detailed analysis and for a different personal, that is a sales manager overview. So, you can create multiple tabs over here. And if you see here, this is a very good visualization, which you can place very close to each other. You can get a very good detailed infographics as well.

[33:39]So, when you hover on the chart, you can get information. And you can also you can drill down at the runtime itself. Like suppose I want to see data for 2016. 2000 to 2014. So, the data can get complete refreshed. Or you want to see for a specific product only, like I want to see for location California.

[34:20]Or only for California. Then I'll choose this and it will show me the data for California itself. So, you have very nice visualizations, which can be placed very close to each other. You can get a very good detailed infographics as well. So, when you hover on the chart, you can get information. And you can also you can drill down at the runtime itself. Like suppose I want to see data for product. And then I can see which product is performing really good. Like product soft drink product called Fanta is doing good in 2000 and it sold 2.35 million worth. And if you see the Diet Coke was the highest selling in 2014. Similarly, but in 2015, the Diet Coke's sales dropped from 5 million dollars to 1.34 million dollars. So, this kind of quick analysis can be done and you can also analyze the data based on your maps, geo chart. Based on your scatter plot, you can also understand variance at how these differences between the sales are happening year by year. And then what are the types of, you know, promotions which you need to run? So, you can do a quick analysis for this. Now, apart from this, we can also share this to our team members. So, you can use your share button. You can share the stories with the other users.

[36:08]And so on. And you can create or copy or create multiple charts and data with the SAP Analytics Cloud. Okay? So, there are other features as well in SAP Analytics Cloud, which are quite not commonly available in other tools. And SAP has put a lot of efforts in building those features. So, some of the tools are like your smart discovery. Now, smart discovery, it allows you to run some of the analytics capabilities like which are triggered by machine learning. And just provide the inputs that how do you want to see or what are the measures or what are the dimensions on which you want to see the analytics. And based on the correlation between the various dimensions and the measures, it will automatically prepare a chart for you. Suppose if I just go for a page one. And here I have a option of running a smart discovery option. Okay? So, here it will just say you just have to select like okay, I want to understand more about the quantity sold. And whether you want to for your planning, whether you want to take all the measures or you want to filter some measures, filter some dimensions and work with that. And then you can run that. So, suppose I was just want to understand the quantity sold analysis. So, it will take up the machine learning algorithms to understand the relationship between the each data point and automatically create and produce a very nice four-tab visualizations. That means with one single click of a button, you can, you can have a story ready to be presented for your team or for your executives. Okay? So, it will take some time. Let's wait for one or two minutes. Okay? So, now you can see that it has it is generating the various charts.

[38:53]And understanding the what are the quantity sold. And then we can understand, analyze the distribution of quality sold. And also understand that how it has been trending over a period of time, which country has sold the highest quantity, for which sales manager and what is the total quantity sold by each customer?

[39:39]What is the average, more than average or not? Then you can also see some of the key influencers for this. Okay? And explores what are the key differentiators between your attributes.

[40:19]And this is all done by a machine learning based capabilities. You can use your smart discovery to know where to start your analysis, to know what is relevant in your data, like you can compare the records per quantity sold. You can get insights quality. You can understand the relationship between influencing factors. You can discriminate. You can get the outliers of data.

[45:09]And also, you can understand forecast, simulate or get unexpected values analysis from smart discovery. Okay? So, we'll talk about only these two features in today's demo. In when we start the sessions, we'll talk more about other features, planning capabilities, data discovery capabilities and so on. Okay?

[50:10]Hello, yeah. One doubt. Yes. Tell me. Yeah. So, when you're explaining about the connections of SAP Analytics Cloud with the different systems. So, where you have shown that acquiring data with the 27 different systems.

[50:43]So, those are the live connection. I can understand how data can be, you know, visualized or can be how dashboards can be created. So, in case of acquiring data with the different system. So, where can we do the data modeling? I mean to say, uh, so, uh, where do we store the data? So, uh, suppose if we connect with if you if you have a live connection with the BI system, then you you may have the live connection with any of the query. Then you can extract the data based on that query. But in case of the acquiring data with the different system, so you were going to do the reporting. Yes. So, what happens? There are multiple things. So, once you are doing an offline connection, so it extracts the data and it loads the data in SAP Cloud platform itself. So, it has got its own repository. It has got its own, uh, model repository. It has got its own, um, data set repository. And so, so once you this data, and if you see here also, so suppose if I have an option of create a data set. Suppose if you want to build a data set and store it in SAP Analytics Cloud. So, you can create a data set here as well. You can upload through a flat file or you can import from a data source. So, if you have different data source, you can acquire the data from the different sources and store this into the repository of SAP Analytics Cloud. One. Second is, you can also create models. And like how you do a planning model or if you a database model or a calculation model. So, you can create a model out of here. So, suppose I don't have anything now. Okay. So that.

[53:18]So, we have analytic model, then you have planning model. These are the different two types of models which you can create. Okay. Let me open this model. Here you can see, the model, like what is the name of the dimensions. What are the generic dimensions? How the data should be stored? What are the number of members? Uh, if there are any hierarchies and so on. So, we can create different models and also look at the data management. Suppose if I want to perform certain, um, refresh or if I want to perform import and export jobs, so this can be done through this. Or if you want to do some data modeling activities like your data cleansing and so on. So, you can create your sources in your story while creating your story and perform your data matching scenarios as well. Okay. Clear. Thank you. Yeah. Okay. I think with this we can close this demo session. Thanks for watching the video. For full course, please visit www.igmguru.com and enroll today.
