[0:00]Hello, everyone. I hope you're having a good day. My name is Matt, and I'm a product manager on the Google team, working on product and process design. What I want to do today is talk to you a little bit about one aspect of our work in our team, which is around data and how we actually leverage data to make good product and process design decisions. Before I dive into it, I just wanted to tell you a very quick story about a project that I worked on earlier this year. I was actually working with a large retailer in the US, and we were trying to figure out if we could improve their supply chain, which was very inefficient. As we were getting into it, what we realized is that the challenge with their supply chain was that they didn't really have a clear picture of what was happening within it, and they didn't really have a lot of data to make good decisions. So, as we were thinking about it, we were trying to figure out how we can actually help them get more data to actually make better decisions and improve their supply chain. And that's what I want to talk to you about today, is how we actually use data in our daily work at Google to make good product and process design decisions. And the first thing I want to tell you about is why data is important for us. And I think the reason why it's important is because it helps us to understand our users, their needs, and their pain points. And that's really important because if you don't understand your users, it's very hard to design good products and processes for them. The second thing that I want to tell you about is how we actually collect data. And there are a few ways that we do that. One is through surveys, another is through interviews, and another is through user testing. And all of these methods help us to get a better understanding of what our users are doing, what they're thinking, and what they're feeling. And then the third thing I want to tell you about is how we actually analyze data. And we use a few different tools for that. One is Google Analytics, another is Google Sheets, and another is Google Data Studio. And all of these tools help us to visualize data and to understand what's happening within our products and processes. So, that's a very quick overview of how we actually use data at Google to make good product and process design decisions. I hope this was helpful, and I hope you have a great day. Thank you.
