[0:00]Hello and welcome back to the second part of Star Stable's all lore timeline. This is an ongoing part series where I talk about each and every one of Star Stable's chronological events that contribute to its main story. In this video, I will be discussing the Starshine Legacy Era of the games and how Lisa, Linda, Ann, and Alex awaken their Soul Rider powers along with their Soul Steeds. Some things might be theories, but only if there's concrete evidence suggesting such, and I will say so if it is an assumption. So let's get into it.
[0:57]After Lisa's father, Karl Peterson accepts a job at Dark Core, the two travel to the island of Jorvik, which is an island Lisa isn't very fond of. On the car ride to their new residence, they almost run over Ann and Concord in the comics. Ann departs after leaving some kind words, and Lisa attends school the following day. She gets acquainted with Linda and Alex, however notices some peculiar pictures of Mr. Sands within the school's trophy cabinet. After school, Lisa goes to Jorvik stables to check it out, meeting Sabine and Herman for the first time. Herman tells Lisa about Starshine, who has been unhappy for a while and is considering putting him down. However, he offers Lisa a chance to ride him to prove him wrong. The two connect instantly and Lisa hears Starshine's voice for the first time. She gets on him in the arena and Mr. Sands comes around to watch, observing from afar. Starshine begins to feel a darkness inside of him growing stronger and expresses his concerns to Lisa after impressing Herman, who allows them to enter the competition. Mr. Sands acknowledges Starshine's speed and his presence suddenly overwhelms him, causing him to collapse. Herman confesses to Lisa that she's the only one who can save Starshine as they share a special connection. Recognizing her powers within, Lisa attempts to heal him, but it's no use when Mr. Sands and Sabine walk into the stable, offering to purchase Starshine. After Herman quickly declines, Lisa gets a call from Linda to meet her at the library, in which she's found some mysterious old newspapers from the early 1900s Jorvik Correspondence. They wonder about who Mr. Sands really is, when suddenly Lisa gets another call to return to the stables. Herman has been attacked by goons and Starshine is gone.
[2:33]Lisa and the girls look around for clues that allude to Starshine's whereabouts being at the abandoned Dark Core site. Sabine abruptly locks the girls inside the stable, but the others are able to hold the door open enough just for Lisa to escape. Lisa sneaks through the site and eventually reaches Starshine, attempting to cause a distraction for the goons. However, she is captured and thrown in there with him instead. The two establish their deep love and connection for each other, and Lisa is finally able to heal Starshine fully. The two break out of the cage as Mr. Sands walks in, acknowledging their special bond. Lisa escapes from the industrial complex, but Sabine's sent after her as a cloaked rider on Kaan. They stop following Lisa and Starshine when they reach the sacred stone circle as the two ponder on what the magical place is, after seeing a resemblance of themselves on the floor. Lisa and Starshine safely return home for the tournament day the following week. The two conquer Sabine and win the race. During the celebrations, Linda, Ann, and Alex acknowledge how this whole journey has brought them together, and that their friendship has much more in store for the future.
[3:45]Taking place a week after Lisa's tournament, Linda publishes her findings of Mr. Sands and Dark Core in the school's Gazette along with the interviews of her friends signed by Mrs. Graham. She looks into the school's trophy cabinet and acknowledges a rock found in the 40s which came from the media shower, discovering that they were in Mr. Sands' possession at Pine Hill Mansion. Linda also recognizes Mr. Sands in a photo from over 70 years ago as a chauffeur to the school's former headmaster at Pine Hill Mansion. At the stables, Linda can't help but ask Herman about Pine Hill Mansion. However, he responds quite harshly, warning her to stay away from that place. Linda suddenly gets flashes of Pine Hill, going down to tell Lisa, and they agree to meet up at the mansion later. After Linda trains with Media, she receives another vision of the dam exploding the day of her competition and hears Media's voice for the first time. As Linda arrives at Pine Hill Mansion, she gets a text from Lisa saying she's trapped inside the greenhouse. Linda parks Media next to Starshine and sneaks through an opening in the wall, entering the mansion and looking for a way to get to Lisa. She discovers a paper on a lectern from the school's former headmaster, Geburtus, of research on a monster under the ocean and how human could get down there. Now, this is just my theory, but I've assumed that Mr. Sands was likely working with Geburtus, who was studying what Dark Core is, and how to get to him, as we've seen his attempts in the past around Jorvik Bay, and with what's to come. Linda then comes across four ancient paintings of four girls, each looking like Ann, Alex, Lisa and herself. Linda points out the symbols above their heads, and wonders about the placement and presence of swords and flowers, which I'm also not sure what those could quite represent. Finally getting to the greenhouse, Linda fetches a ladder for Lisa to get down, and as she does so, passes the very familiar looking statue. Why Mr. Sands has a druid statue in his possession, if it's one of the two in SSRI, or if it's the third one, or what they mean, I'm not sure. Mr. Sands arrives home with his goons, and Linda and Lisa eavesdrop on his conversation, saying that he planted the bomb and he's planning on getting rid of Herman. The girls race back to the stables and warn Herman that Dark Core are planning to kidnap him. They get inside the stable and lock the door, explaining that they have special connections with their horses and that Dark Core is up to no good. Herman tells them the prophecy of the Soul Riders, that every 100 years strange and magical things happen on Jorvik, being the generational iteration of the Soul Riders. He advises them to investigate their suspicions further, in which Linda heads to the ancient ruins. Her and Media's presence activates the magical engraving on the floor, which summons Frip. He tells her that Lisa, Ann, and Alex are also Soul Riders along with their soul steeds. Guiding Linda to concentrate harder and harder to figure out where the bomb is, Lisa finds it and tells Frip so that she can ride off to the dam immediately. Working their way back through the site, Linda successfully disarms the bomb with only a few seconds left, saving Jorvik from a catastrophic event. Her and Media arrive back to Jorvik stables and win their jumping competition, keeping in mind everything she's learned over the past couple of days.
[6:58]Over on Dark Core's platform, Mr. Sands welcomes the second general, Jessica, through the gate that connects Jorvik to Garnok's ship. While Jessica settles herself down in school, so does Ann as she quickly makes her way to see Derek to audition to be the next Glamor Number 5 model. After Jessica steals the spotlight, Derek says he's lost his film, so Ann looks around and notices a Dark Core goon guarding the library. She gets Linda to help distract the goon and retrieves the film to Derek, finally being able to get some pictures. Derek dislikes the lighting, however, and Ann offers to take him to the stables, which he agreed to, despite Jessica already having offered him. Arriving at the stables, Ann feels weary about Jessica, feeling a special connection with Concord after performing dressage for Derek. Ann hears Concord's voice for the first time, and he also expresses his dislike for Jessica. Derek insists that Jessica has a turn posing with Concord for good measure, but as he lays her hands on him, he immediately collapses. Lisa tries to heal him after Jessica sends him to Pandoria, however, it's no use, and even Lisa says it feels like he's soulless. Herman steps in and acknowledges the measures of Concord's circumstances, advising Ann to seek help elsewhere as a dark power is at work. Lisa recommends her to go to the Secret Stone Circle to talk to Frip, and so Ann goes there. Promising she would make it to see Ann's photoshoot, Alex walks along the road to the stables when she spots two Dark Core goons ahead. She quickly hides and watches the goons attack Derek as he passes by, stealing his photos and camera. As Ann arrives at the entrance to the Sacred Grove, she receives a text from Alex explaining what just happened with Derek. She also tells her about this one photo of her and Concord that she sent, with Concord having wings and Ann having a light aura around her. She navigates her way around the cliff to get to the Secret Stone Circle, and acknowledges the engraving on the floor, recognizing herself and Concord with wings. Frip quickly interrupts her, telling Ann she's a Soul Rider and that Concord's soul lies within Pandoria. He tells Ann how to get there by riding the path of the wind to save him, and leaves Ann to venture to the dimension in pink when he disappears. Time and space unfold, placing Ann in Pandoria. As she travels through, she notices four statues of four horses with engravings on the base, each describing the destiny of the Soul Riders. The Star Circle statue says, the Star is connected to the lightning, but lies beneath it to the east. Red is the color of blood and so is the mane of the rider who brings life.
[9:22]The Moon Circle statue reads, the moon shines high in the northwest, the color of night is the cloak of visions, as well as the rider of past and future. The Lightning Circle statue reads, the lightning strikes from the north straight down, the color of earth, mud, and leather is the path of the warrior. And finally, Ann sees her own statue of the Sun Circle, which says, the sun sinks in the southeast, she rides with golden hair and marble wings and defies time and space. She continues on and sees the carvings of how Garnok came to Earth along with the Pandorians, forming generations of Soul Riders to come. Dodging Shadow Seekers left and right along her way, Ann stumbles across a puzzle which she completes, activating the Frip statue so that he can talk to her. Frip tells Ann that he cannot physically be in Pandoria with her as the code forbids him from doing so. However, also must give her a riddle for her to be able to pass further. He asks, who is Concord? He gives her a hint, saying that this morning she was herself, but after today's events, things have changed. She answers correctly by saying, Concord is me, conveying their united connection as Soul Steed and rider. Frip confirms this and says that her and Concord together become the Sun of Pandoria, emphasizing the importance of finding him and riding him out of Pandoria to bring him back to Earth and set him free. Reaching Concord, Ann connects with him and they ride their way back out of the land of nightmares and safely to Earth. They end up back in Jorvik Stables together, Lisa exclaiming that they both appeared out of a bright light. Finding common ground in their connections with their horses, Lisa and Ann go outside to tell the others what happened. They all look at the photo Derek took of Ann, and he wishes to investigate further. However, his batteries were taken by the goons. Ann volunteers to retrieve them, and then Derek confesses his true agendas. He says that he works for the government along with Glamour Number 5, and his camera can capture special things invisible to the naked eye. He warns Ann that her and Concord could be manipulated by dark forces if more photos like that came to the wrong hands. So Ann follows Jessica's car to try and stop the photos from getting to Mr. Sands, as suggested by Linda. Arriving at Dark Core HQ, Ann eavesdrops on Mr. Sands's and Jessica's conversation, saying that the Covenant is not yet fulfilled and that they still haven't found the seal. Jessica reveals that the goons dropped six of the photos on their way there, so then their plans are on hold for the time being until they find them all again. Ann sneaks through the site with Concord and collects all six photos lost. However, decides to further venture into the headquarters to see what Jessica and Mr. Sands are up to. Discussing her plans of opening the port and creating a maelstrom, Jessica exposes that her reinforcements can arrive. Mr. Sands responds by saying that Garnok shall rise again. Ann decides that she needs to stop them at once, having Concord kick them both through the portal after Jessica says she is the Dark Princess, which sends them back to the ship. Ann heads back to Jorvik Stables, wondering who and what Garnok is. After winning her dressage competition the next day, Derek tells Ann that the government will be having a close watch on the whole Soul Rider regime. She tells him some of the things Dark Core were talking about, which Derek wouldn't know. However, he shares that satellites are picking up huge amounts of energy from Dark Core's drill sites. Telling Ann about a photo of Tinkin that looks unique also, Derek causes her to ponder her friend's involvement with the magical forces of Jorvik and Garnok.
[12:52]After Ann's adventures, Alex experiences her typical school day when Mrs. Graham assigns her to research on the different minerals found across Jorvik. Alex finds information on an unknown mineral that came from the media showers thousands and thousands of years ago. Before she can continue researching, however, Alex receives a call from her little brother, James, who says that it is Billy Buck wants to beat him up. Traveling up to the second floor, Alex challenges Buck to a fight, in which he steps down after remembering what happened to him last time he fought her. However, his sister, a girl with white hair dressed in white clothing approaches Alex, whose name is Katja, challenges Alex to the Scarecrow Hill Race outside of school. After Alex accepts, she heads back down to the library to finish her assignment. She discovers that the unknown mineral's called Pandorium, a metal only found around Jorvik, consisting of many strange properties. Alex hands in her assignment and heads for the stables, hearing Tinkin's voice for the first time. He tells her that he's not so sure about this race, but Alex reassures him that Katja won't win. The race begins and Alex notices Katja turning around on her way through, grabbing the apple and racing back as fast as she can. Holding the apple in her hand, Katja bluffs her victory as Alex arrives back after her. She expresses her disbelief and condemns Katja, however Katja suggests for the fighting to stop and that she and James should kiss and make up, which sounds absolutely horrendous by the way. Kissing James on the forehead, Katja leaves by telling Alex that they'll meet again, and James suddenly feels strange, that a darkness is growing inside of him. The next morning, Alex gets a call from her mother saying that James has gone missing, in which she rushes over to tell the others. Linda says she has a bad feeling about all of this and asks Alex to take her hand, as she shows her a vision. Katja has hypnotically manipulated James, as Alex tells Alex that the only way she can get him back is by training Tinkin at Devil's Gap. Telling Herman about the vision, Alex says his advice to speak to his wise friend, Frip. Alex travels to the Secret Ruins, where she is greeted by the cosmic being, who tells her about how he came here, and that dark riders are taking on human form, doing everything in their power to destroy the Soul Riders and free Garnok. He continues to reveal to Alex that she is a Soul Rider, who possesses the power of the Lightning Circle and the ability to inflict damage, the Soul Strike. After practicing a new found skill on some Shadow Seekers, Alex heads back to school the next day. Inside the library, Linda tells Alex that her books were stolen from her by the Dark Core goons as she was trying to research on some things, so Alex sought out to retrieve them. After soul striking the goons in a wheat field, Alex takes Linda's books back to her, in which she shares some interesting findings on the Soul Riders. She tells Alex about the history of Garnok and shows her an ancient painting of the Soul Riders fighting against Garnok along with Frip. Another painting shows the Soul Rider of the Lightning Circle to be attacking a scary monster holding what looks like to be a staff or hockey stick, which represents Buck. All of a sudden, Alex gets a call from Lisa expressing her suspicion on her dad's relocation to a faraway site to work on Dark Core's Garnok project. On her way to Devil's Gap, Alex and Tinkin stop to check out what's going on with the Garnok project. Soul striking some goons at the industrial towers to steal a key card. Sneaking down through the pipe, Alex eavesdrops on Mr. Sands, who appears to be in recovery from his sentence to the ship. He talks about his plans with Katja and that they only need one Soul Horse to free Garnok, being Tinkin. And that the Pandorian code that lays in front of him possesses the ways Alex to get out of it, which he does not have. Prioritizing the retrieval of the book, Alex sneaks in and soul strikes Mr. Sands and his goons, taking the Pandorian code and running back out to Tinkin. She has a quick flick through and finds out that the generals must obey special drilling rules, so her hope of saving James without sacrificing Tinkin prevails. Alex finally heads to Devil's Gap and arrives at where Katja is holding James hostage. She challenges Katja to a duel by the codes of Pandoria and that if she wins, she gets to take James and Tinkin and vice versa. Accepting her challenge, Katja lets Buck fight on her behalf. However, Alex successfully defeats him and the deal's a deal. Although James's soul still remains with Katja. Infuriated, Alex demands Katja to a fair race for James's soul to return, and so the two race back to Jorvik Stables as Garnok's tentacles attempt to interfere. Alex wins and Katja sets James's souls free, being banished from Jorvik temporarily as a result of the loss. At the stables the next day, James is in terror after receiving so many visions of Dark Core and Mr. Sands. Linda connects with James and sees his vision. Mr. Sands has activated all four seals of the Soul Rider circles within Pandoria, which will free Garnok as it will slowly steal their powers. Understanding the stakes of the situation, the Soul Riders agree to meet at the Stone Circle and work together one by one to destroy their seals in Pandoria. After successfully battling Shadow Seekers and fighting time pressure between the world of Pandoria and Earth, the girls celebrate their victory. Although their story is far from over. And that marks the end of part two. Thanks for tuning in. Next time, we'll be looking into what the Soul Riders got up to before our character comes within the pre-Star Stable Online era. And I have some interesting thoughts and theories for that episode. See you soon.
