[0:00]Wait. Creators should consider the consequences of their statements and actions of their audiences. Twitch streamers can be punished for off-Twitch actions. What does that mean?

[0:19]So like if you like let's say cheat on your wife could they ban you for that? Twitch literally destroys itself, in just seven years. Twitch became an ordinary site for gamers to gather. To one of the biggest sites known around the world. And with the increasing popularity of Twitch, the site has become a gaming site, a site full of drama. Sexual content and hate without any benefit. Twitch tried to remove this content from its site on March 15, 2018. Twitch released new rules for the forum. And whoever violates or opposes it will be banned forever. Hello guys, with you Fols, and welcome to the rise and fall of Twitch TV.

[1:12]In 2007, Justin Kan invented Justin TV, the place where he broadcasts Osu! and discusses new episodes of anime. I don't know the exact name of all the sections, the gaming section was the most famous. From what he saw, Justin went on to create a whole new site, just for gaming. At that moment, Twitch was born. Twitch was launched in 2011, and it was a place designed for gamers by gamers. The place had no rules. Just sit in front of the computer, open the camera, be yourself and play. Until one day, Byron Bernstein discovered that you can earn from Twitch by asking your followers or viewers to give you one dollar. And this was very useful for streamers. This is what opened the gold mine for all streamers. After months, Twitch started the partner system. And they officially became partners with many famous streamers at the time. So Twitch added a subscription button, where you pay money to the streamer to get, I don't know what, emojis or something like that. The same money goes to the streamer, and the other half goes to Twitch, which made Twitch a very suitable place to earn money and maybe even earn a living. On February 14, 2014, something happened that changed the course of the streaming world. In one of the streams, there was a stream about Pokémon, or an old Pokémon game. And it had commands, and you could make the chat move the character and play with it. The stream was very interactive. And it literally had tens of thousands of people who were spamming to move the character and play with it. The stream got five or six million views in just five days. Which caught Amazon's attention, and made them interested in streaming. So Amazon decided to buy Twitch for nearly a billion dollars.

[3:14]Many famous streamers put their personalities and personal lives in streams, even though people just wanted excellent gameplay. And this was somewhat similar to YouTube at the time. Instead of people focusing on gameplays, they started focusing on more on their personalities and drama. And over time, instead of Twitch being a place for gamers, Twitch literally became a Turkish series. But unfortunately, the situation became much worse. After a while, and with an update in late 2016, Twitch announced a new section called IRL, or In Real Life. The goal of this section is to go out of your house and explore the world with chat. And it's true that this section presented amazing things and very cool streams. But it also gave an opportunity for girls to stop pretending that they are interested in games and that they love them. And since there are no streams about games in the IRL section, most of these streamers will discuss their personal lives and the lives of other streamers. Which increases the number of viewers who are looking for drama. And over time, this section became one of the most controversial sections on Twitch. Because this section was filled with thousands of streamers who wore inappropriate clothes and appeared live. Many people in the Twitch community were annoyed by this, and they felt that these streamers or girls who are widespread on Twitch are destroying this place and turning it from a place for gaming. To a place where these streamers exploit teenagers to give them money. Some streamers started making fun of them and criticizing them. At the same time, they wonder how these girl streamers didn't violate Twitch's rules. I'm sick of this shit. I'm sick of all the bullshit happening in this community. This used to be a goddamn community of gamers, nerds, kids that got bullied, kids that got fucked with. Kids that resorted to the gaming world because the real world was too fucking hard, too shitty, too lonely, too sad and depressing. Now it's ran by the fucking goddamn same sluts that rejected us, the same sluts that chose the goddamn fucking cool kids over us. The same sluts that are coming into our community, taking the money, taking the subs, the same way they did back in the day, fuck that. I am the goddamn fucking reality check. Because of the criticism of what was happening at that time, a large number of people turned to attack these channels. I think the reason was clear, it was because they were trolling or something like that to leave this place forever. But for some of these girl streamers, they considered this harassment or cyberbullying. Even though they know what they're doing is wrong. And they also do inappropriate movements like this, intentionally to attract people and so on, which made this issue later spread through the news. And it made the media discuss multiple topics, including sexual content, widespread drama, and cyberbullying, which led to negative consequences for Twitch and Amazon, and made the advertisers very unhappy because of the negativity and the talk they were getting. After what happened, Twitch started deleting channels that violated the community's rules and guidelines. But the way it chose to ban people had a bit of favoritism. For example, the streamer LegendaryLea showed her sensitive area several times in front of the camera, so she got a temporary ban. Or small streamers with less than 20,000 subscribers, they show their private parts and get banned forever. For example, the streamer Alinity, who gave her cat vodka and threw it into the stream, and she didn't get banned, nor did Twitch do anything, until people came and attacked her and attacked Twitch. Then they gave her a ban, which angered the Twitch community. And these streamers were violating the community's rules and guidelines, and Twitch was being lenient with them. While other streamers who made fewer mistakes, Twitch deletes their accounts forever. Twitch has been waging war against them for many years, but unfortunately, this is not succeeding because sexual content has spread more than before, and drama has spread throughout the community, and adult content has spread more in channels that also have children. Twitch said that what is happening is enough, and we need to change the topic. On March 5, 2018, Twitch put new rules to be safe for advertisers and to protect their image in front of people. So what are the new rules? The streamer cannot release any descriptions about other people, whether religious, skin color, mental disability, physical disability, gender changes, and so on. And since releasing descriptions has become inappropriate on Twitch, this will cause an immediate ban if someone reports it. And the streamer has become famous among his followers and viewers. Because if they say anything wrong in the chat or attack another person, this will cause a ban for the streamer himself. As for streamers, they are responsible for what they say on Twitch and outside Twitch as well, because even the actions that streamers do outside Twitch still represent them.

[8:14]And this may cause a permanent ban on their accounts. In case you were joking, and this joke may hurt the person or the streamer you were joking about, you must clarify that what you are saying is a joke or a prank.

[8:30]In short, he said, a joke from autism to chat, and he's talking about it to the chat, not taking it seriously.

[9:10]Because it literally means to be welcomed by thousands and thousands of communities that Twitch offers you. But now Twitch is preventing people from expressing their opinions, showing their true personalities, and making jokes without getting banned. Which made the Twitch experience less exciting and thrilling than it used to be. I hate the idea that we have to silence ourselves. It makes you feel like streamers have something missing. Streamers have put a lot of effort not to talk from their minds and get banned because of that. Which raises a question in our minds. Will Twitch improve or continue to fall? According to the current events, I think we will find the answer soon.
