[0:13]Every morning, I start my day the same way. I wake up, put my feet on the floor, and I go, "Thank you, Lord. Thank you for waking me up this morning. Thank you for another day. Thank you for my children. Thank you for my husband. Thank you for my job. Thank you for my home, and thank you for my health." So I thank God for my health. But when I say, "Thank you for my health," I'm not thanking God because I'm healthy. I'm thanking God for my health, because I am a physician, an emergency medicine physician. I thank God for my health because I'm a mother, a special needs mom. And I thank God for my health because I'm a wife and a daughter. And I thank God for my health because I am a human being. And if I don't thank God for my health and take care of my health. I can't perform any of these roles to the best of my ability. So I have to take care of my body, I have to take care of my mind, and I have to take care of my spirit, in order to show up every single day. And when I thank God for my health, it's just my way of saying, "Thank you, Lord, for giving me another opportunity. Thank you for another day, because today I'm going to take care of my body. Today I'm going to take care of my mind, and today I'm going to take care of my spirit. And I'm going to commit to taking care of it every single day, so I can show up as Dr. Perot, as the special needs mom, as the wife, as the human being, and perform to the best of my ability. I'm sure you all have different hats that you wear throughout the day, and you're always trying to take care of someone else. You're always trying to make sure everyone else is okay. But when do you stop and think about yourself?
