[0:00]Hello, everybody, and welcome to this edition of Tech Talk. Today we're going to talk about some general care and feeding of your scooter. We're going to take a look at the tires, we're going to take a look at the seat, and we're going to talk a little bit about charging your batteries. One of the most important things on a scooter is going to be the tires. This is the only thing connecting you to the ground, and it's imperative that they're at the proper air pressure. On this particular scooter, this is a Go-Go Sport. The recommended air pressure is going to be 30 PSI. And on the actual tire, it's going to tell you a maximum air pressure, and that's typically going to be higher than what the recommended air pressure is. So you always want to check the manufacturer's recommendations for air pressure, which is typically going to be in your manual. The way you can check the air pressure on these tires is just like a bicycle pump. You can take any bicycle pump, connect it to the Schrader valve here, and check the air pressure and air them up accordingly. Now, if your tires are consistently low, or you notice that they're always flat, you might want to call us and schedule an appointment to have those looked at, because you may have a slow leak in one of the tires. Another thing that we want to always check is going to be the seat. As you can see, the seat connects right into the post and it swivels back and forth for easy entering and exiting of the scooter. Over time, these can become loose, so you just want to take a look and make sure that this is connected securely and that it's not wobbly. If it does become wobbly, you'll want to contact us so we can take a look at that for you. Next, we're going to talk a little bit about charging your batteries. On this particular model, it takes two 12-volt batteries connected in series to make it 24-volt system. It's imperative that when you charge your batteries, you charge them for at least 8 to 10 hours at a time, or overnight is best. These batteries do have a memory, so if you only charge them for one or two hours, it will remember that, and you'll get less range out of your scooter. You also always want to make sure that you're using the charger that came with the scooter, because if you use an aftermarket charger, it can damage the batteries. So that's it for this edition of Tech Talk. We appreciate you watching. If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call. And remember, we're always here to help you live your best life.
