[0:09]I mean highly I cannot wait for this. It's not even a movie anymore. It's not even. It's a phenomenon. It is a what? A phenomenon. Okay, uh finally it's here. Uh I I saw the I'm about to show everyone here uh the trailer. And it is uh one of the funniest trailers I've ever seen. There's a scene in there that I can't talk about but you know what it is. Yes, I can't believe it. It's never been done in movies well I can't believe it because you'll see why. There are standard practices for these things. But yeah, somehow slip through. So uh but the the movie begins, I'm allowed to say how the movie begins, right? How it starts? It's your show and you can see. You walk into the theater and you sit down. No, no, not now, now, now, every movie. This movie, Dumb and Dumber 2. I didn't know how far back you wanted me to go. And then so it but it starts with Lloyd Christmas has been in an asylum. Yes, he has. Yes, he's been there for quite some time. So he has a long beard and long hair. And he's he's in a wheelchair. But he's only joking. So he's just kidding. That's right. 20 years. You're doing an exclusive tonight. He's only kidding. It'll ruin the whole movie for you. No, no, no. You don't want to do that. It's great. How do you get in the character? How do you get into the dumb characters? Do you? I remember, I actually I remember the audition because I was Mr. Drama and he was he was Jim. And so I had to really, well, but I mean, no, I get it. I get it. No, but I had to prove that I could be funny. This is way back 20 years ago. I just want to know what the hell they're laughing at. Hey, don't get hey, don't get angry. He's got a short fuse, you guys. Short fuse. We were doing the hot tub scene and Jim just before we even said a word, he just went into Lloyd. He just did that thing. I motor voted him. No, no, no. Hey.
[1:47]And then I just kind of slashed my brain around and and you know, suddenly I was there and he does that before every take. I do. I'm not even kidding. He goes. Do it one more time. Okay. And we're ready to go. Rolling.
[2:04]You won't see that on newsroom. You won't see that on newsroom. You won't see that on newsroom. Not at all. No, no. But the first day he came to the set, he was fresh from newsroom, just won the Emmy and we went more butt crack, Jeff. Yeah. We need to see the butt crack. Oh my God. But you don't have it there's no problems working with Jeff. You just said. Well, you know, technically, it's an interesting thing is you have to make you have to compensate for certain things when you act. I mean, you know, Alan Ladd was short so he stood on a box and stuff like that. You know, Jeff, not only is a great a a great actor, but he has he's anatomically correct as an actor. His head is a little bit bigger than normal people's heads. So there's a lot of surface, right? For the camera. The camera picks up a lot of facial surface and stuff. But if I'm beside him, I tend to look like on the small side, like I a bit of a pee brain, you know. So That's not good. So what what we had to do during the movie is is I'd always stand three, four steps in front of him. You know, something like this. Okay. See now that starts to look normal. That right there. Like go back to where you were. Go back to where you were. That's it that looks weird. Were you doing something different with your face but all right now do it where like can you do you move forward? And then right here is perfect. Hi Jeff. How are you doing? Good, Jim, you? Good. You look great. Thank you. You too. Head is a perfect size. Yes. Thank you. So that does work. I love it. Movie Magic. The entire movie of Dumb and Dumber 2 is forced perspective. Yeah.
