[0:00]Disability friendly is an initiative developed by I Am Me Scotland, to create a network of places throughout Scotland where disabled and vulnerable people can feel included and valued within their communities.
[0:11]Staff and volunteers within disability friendly places will receive training which will help to create a better understanding of the range of disabilities, as well as helping to identify some of the barriers that people may face in the community, including discrimination and hate crime.
[0:26]All disability friendly places volunteers to become a part of the network and are places where disabled people are valued and respected.
[0:34]To be part of the network, you must commit to staff training and to supporting disabled and vulnerable people, if required.
[0:41]Contact cards should also be available for people to request. These can be ordered free from I Am Me Scotland.
[0:48]If you would like to be a part of disability friendly, contact the I am me team at iammecotland@outlook.com.
[0:55]Together we can make a difference.
