[0:00]This is your Glock's three safeties explained in under a minute. Your first safety is your trigger safety. This prevents your trigger from being pulled from any position without this lever here first being depressed. Secondly, your firing pin safety is this plunger here. This sits directly in front of your firing pin, not allowing it to travel forward unless the plunger is first depressed. When your trigger is pulled, it sends this part of your trigger bar up and rearward, which depresses your firing pin safety allowing it to travel forward. Lastly, we have your drop safety. This part of your trigger bar sits directly in front of this part of your firing pin, which does not allow it to travel forward from any drops or abuse. Now watch what happens to this part of your trigger bar when I pull the trigger. It travels rearward and down. This actually pulls your firing pin back and then drops out of the way allowing your firing pin to travel forward and then set off your cartridge. And this is why a Glock firearm is 100% safe if handled properly.
