[0:02]Ladies and gentlemen, I have played Black Ops Royale early. I went over to Traer with a couple other creators and actually got the chance to play Black Ops Royale early. If you don't know what Black Ops Royale is, it's the brand new mode that is coming out within Call of Duty where basically it's Blackout inspired. They took a lot of inspiration from Blackout which was a mode. The first ever Battle Royale in Call of Duty, which was back in like 2018 and they kind of did a mode where it's inspired by Blackout. I got a chance to play it early. It comes out at midnight on Friday. And here's everything that you need to know about Black Ops Royale. Basically what the goals with Black Ops Royale and the goals that they have for it. These are coming straight from the devs, by the way. Is that Battle Royale was getting stagnant and they wanted a blackout game with more of a modern update. One of the creators actually asked why they're dropping it now and why all of a sudden now. They've been working on Blackout for about a year and a half now. And Avalon was already in the process of being made. Avalon was originally actually made for Battle Royale. They just made the mode Blackout in the last year and a half and just put it on Avalon. Also Avalon is apparently supposed to be coming to the Battle Royale experience probably in like, they didn't give a date. It's just it's coming. But for now, this coming week, it's just going to be Blackout for dances going to be gone for the time being. There's no Battle Royale casual. There's no Battle Royale mode. It's all going to be on Avalon Blackout Quads only. They also showed a couple of pictures of the map where what Avalon looks like with in-game and what Avalon looks like with Battle Royale, and it looked totally different. There's way less water. They added a land POIs onto it. So in game is not not necessarily the same map as it is in in Blackout. And it's coming out for season 2.5 and they announced in in the meeting in season three. They're actually going to be adding more stuff to the map as well. They showed a picture of what season three actually looks like. They are adding more stuff to Avalon as well. Now what we got a chance to play at, the player count was 100. And the reason they said they actually played with like 150 or just a lot of other different modes is that the original Blackout was a hundred, so they kind of want to stay true to it. And in their previous play tests, what they found with the QA testers is that people would just land and just fight and didn't really get to loot or really have an experience of actually learning the game. But with 150 players, they said it was just too much fighting off rip. We'll have to see how it goes because obviously with a game like that, it plays so much different when it's in live servers versus QA testers. I personally think there should be more players. There should be 150 in my personal opinion. But that was their reason of why it's a hundred players. Mainly because the original Blackout was 100 players. Now, let's get into the gameplay of what Black Ops Royale actually is. The specifics of what I played. So this is how it works. You have the Warzone play system. Everything's normal. You have regenerative health. You have three plates. The armor tear plates, tier one, tier two, and tier three. The armor vests mitigate damage from your plates. So if you have no plates on, the armor vest doesn't do anything. You just you'll just get shot and die. But when you have plates on, it mitigates the damage from those plates. If I'm not mistaken, I'm pretty sure if you have no armor plates, then armor vest don't really do anything. They're just there to mitigate damage from your plates in general, not your actual health. There is one shot snipers up until tier three. I think you get a protection, but the trauma kit takes your actual health to 250. So you have the plate system, the damage mitigation and but the trauma kits are there to actually increase your overall health to 250. And the way it works is everyone has a redeploy token. So let's say you land, you die, you respawn. You have a timer respawn, like 30 seconds, like Resurgence. And then after that, after that one life you're used, you obviously flow in the air, come back. Now you have to get rezzed at a redeploy tower. Now with one person on the redeploy tower, it takes 30 seconds. But if you have, let's say, one of your teammates died and three of you guys are on the redeploy tower, you get it done in about five seconds. There's only a few on the map, so it's interesting to see how it's going to play out. I'm curious to see how you guys like it and how how you think it plays out. Well, there's only a couple of ways to actually get back in the game. It definitely increases, it made it more intense. It made it more like your your life has really mattered a lot and being in the end game really mattered a lot because you just didn't die seven times in a row. The redeploy towers are visually loud and it also pops up on your minimap once someone's actually doing it. So once you press that button, you're you're 100% getting sent by a team, no question about it. And the way the game play loop is with the grapple hooks and stuff like that in the wing suits. You're almost when you redeploy, you're almost expecting a fight, 100%. You can find redeploy tokens. They're pretty rare to find. You can only find them in like certain challenges or certain different activities, which I'm going to explain now where you can actually find these things. So there's different activities or what we know as contracts around the map. You have the target uplink station, which is like a bounty. You press it, it goes to somebody that's a bounty. There's no rewards for doing a bounty. You don't get any money. There's no like loot you get for it. It's kind of not pointless, but I guess it's just info on where a team is at. You can do a surprise shipment, which is a container when you walk next to it. It opens up. It has a bunch of AI in it. You kill all the AI, it drops loot, but it's really only enough loot for one person. So you know, you just you really it drops like a trauma kit, a satchel and something else. So you really just have that. You have the surveillance drone, which does, which does give a ping of where people are at in a short distance. The strong box crack, which is like a, it's kind of like similar what it was in MW two. You just get loot out of it. A relay antenna, which shoots out a single UAV ping. Redeploy drone flies down. So, you know the ones in Caldera where you can zip up and fly. It drops one of those for about a minute. You obviously have the ammo cache. And then you have something called the Cradle breach. This was actually pretty crazy in the gameplay loop. In circle three, uh, it'll drop down like a like a stick of smoke and it'll spray out in zombies. It'll be like a quarantine zone with zombies in it. And if you go into that quarantine zone, your health isn't affected, but you're fighting off zombies. And if you kill like a certain, like, I think the Mangler's in it. If you kill a Mangler, it drops like a gold vest and a bunch of good loot. Or you have a chance to get the mystery box, which is where the mystery box pops up. You get two loops on the mystery box. You actually can get like exotic weapons, the Ray gun and different things like that. There's no loadouts. It's all weapons that have, um, upgraded kits on the on the floor. So you basically can find anywhere. You basically land, you start with a pistol. Let's say you pick up a a Maddox. Great. You find a a upgraded kit. It just clicks. It's not like how it wasn't Red sector where you have to hold, do hold, then it switches, it upgrades it. As soon as you grab it, it upgrades a gun automatically. So you'll get a green gun with like two attachments. Next one's a blue gun with like three. Gold is four, five is purple. So, and as you increase, you get you get more ball velocity on guns, different things like that. They have a backpack system. So the way basically it's not like how MW two. You do have a backpack system. You can carry different types of ammo, different lethals. But let's say you have two nades in your pocket. You can't have two nades in your backpack. You can maybe have two Molotovs, but it's never of the same thing. So people don't spam things. And also within the game, there's nine operators to discover, which you can get rewards and different things like that. There is paint canisters within Blackout as well. Like it all was. But overall, like I said, it drops this Friday. I got a chance to play it. I'm going to just say this right now. The end games were some of the most intense things in the entire building. We were super excited. No, I'm not getting paid for this. I'm just telling you right now, I did that. I had it might be a crime if I said this. Yo, yo, the public the public arrest me. Yo, I'm they're going to say I got paid ten bands. I had a little fun. I had fun. I'm going to be, I had fun. I don't know if it's going to be good because it's the game is completely different in live servers. But I'm telling you what I played, my heart was racing during the end games.
