[0:00]in your summarized written text, what if you get a conversational kind of paragraph where copy paste is not going to work. In such cases you have to paraphrase on your own. For that, let's unwheel a new template. Well, this is the template while S1 is mark, David, whatever the name that shows there explains blah blah blah blah blah. Speaker two Mark David or whatever the name present there. Speaker two says blah blah blah blah blah blah. Put a semicolon, both acknowledges, both agrees, both disagrees, both talks about something of this and you have to continue approximately 55 to 60 words. All right, without any further delay, let's straight away get right into the PT summarize written text, new rules, new updates of 2026. Here we start. When we talk about PT summarize written text, will the old technique still work? Mostly yes, but let me talk about the changes. Earlier the content was for two marks in the evaluation criteria and now the content is for. If the content is for, of course, they're expecting you to write a little more of the content, isn't it so? So any change in the strategy, slightly as earlier, we used to randomly pick two sentences. You know, the way you want it, whatever the sentences that you are interested in, take two sentences in between them at a connector, put a full stop towards the end and wind up. Can we still do the same? You can do the same, but since the content is now four marks, let's cover the sentences from different parts of the paragraph. Probably one sentence in the beginning, one sentence in the middle, one sentence towards the end. This probably will fetch you four out of four for the content. So can I still use copy paste method? Yes, it works for most of the cases. Copy paste method does not mean you click on copy and paste, it means you type the exact content from the paragraph without invoking too much of this engine. Meaning if there is a paragraph, you take one complete sentence in the beginning, then you take the complete sentence in the middle, then you take the complete sentence towards the end. And then use any of the templates that I've showed and put a full stop towards the end, done and dusted. Well, the point is, will it still work? Yes, it is working. People are getting the scores. You don't have to worry, but in some scenarios, it won't work. We will talk about it very shortly, but let me quickly give you a demo of this picking up from the beginning, middle and in the end and see how much marks do we get through our portal, our AI website, skillsptwithnakul.com. Let's start. So this is the template. S1 is sentence one comma and sentence two comma but sentence three put a full stop. Can I use this? Yes. What if it's exceeding 75 words, then ensure cutting the last sentence, you can remove the last sentence or you can know if your grammar is really good, last sentence you can take a little portion of it and remove the rest of it. The second template is sentence one comma and sentence two full stop. Let's say both the sentences that you've picked are quite lengthy, you can just rely on this. 60 words, 55 to 60 words should be more than enough. The template three while sentence one comma, sentence two, semicolon sentence three full stop. Any of this you can use depending on the question. So let's take up the question, the same question is there in our portal as well. So I'm going to very soon open our AI portal, so this is the question, social media blah blah blah, I'm not reading it. In the beginning, I'm going to pick first sentence until opinions, in the middle I'm going to start with it has also revolutionized and the last I take up additionally the rapid spread of. Three sentences, comma, and comma, but put the full stop. So let's see how much marks do I get. After this, we move on to the paraphrasing technique and unveil a new template. All right, I have opened the question. So what I do is I will take up the first sentence. This way you cannot copy paste in our website, only I can. This is a testing branch. First one, I copy pasted. All right, here the full stop, I'm going to remove, put a comma and right and. And then second sentence we will start with it has also revolutionized effectively till the end of a full stop from the full stop. Don't copy in the half and then we copy paste it. The word it is capitalized, I we're going to make it small, and then towards the end we will comma, but it's just 39 words. So I'm going to take up the last one. Additionally, perception, additionally also if you want you can remove the rapid spread and in the end put a full stop.
[5:19]60 words, this is the method, this is called copy paste method. The copy paste may not work in the exams. There are buttons, but mostly don't work. You will have to type copy the exact information and paste it by typing that I meant. So let's submit it and see how much marks do I get. Um, it's all perfect. It should be this is the way it works in the exam. Even though if this creates a run-on sentence, adding connectors and and and and creates a run-on sentence sometimes, but in the exam you do this, you get the scores. Similarly, in a similar way, we have coded our AI to give marks, mirroring what happens in the main exam. All right, so content four, vocabulary two, grammar two, form one, total marks nine out of nine. You just do this, this should not be any issues. You can try this on your own through our portal, skillsptwithnakul.com. So having said this, something like this comes, it's easy, no need to practice at all, but what if something like this doesn't come and it would be a conversation as these days conversations also have come. Not for everybody, but some people are getting conversations. I hope you agree to it, you relate to it, if yes, do let me know in the comment section whether you got a conversational kind of paragraph. So now let's talk about the conversational kind of paragraph, meaning David, hey hi, how are you doing? I hi David, I'm doing well, how about you? So this is a conversational kind of paragraph. When such a thing happens, copy paste may not really help you out here because it logically doesn't sound correct to just copy paste and finish it off. So when a conversational kind of paragraph appears in the exam, you need to learn to write something on your own. This is called paraphrasing technique. You cannot read an exactly as it is, you may need to change few of the words and let's understand in detail as to how to do it. It's a very simple thing, you don't have to escape thinking it's very difficult, very simple thing. I also have tested a new template working perfectly fine in the main exam and in the official mock test, you can rely on that. That will not completely, you know, like 100% help you, but to some extent it gives you the flow. You can just use that in between, write something on your own and finish it off. Let's unveil the technique of paraphrasing. So what is the art of paraphrasing? Let's take up this sentence, I'm very happy. For this sentence, you can actually speak in different ways and still convey the same meaning. I'm very happy, my mood is so good. I'm on cloud nine, isn't it so? So there are, you know, plenty of ways in which you can express the same mood. I'm happy, my mood is really good. The core principle of paraphrasing is yes, the first thing is say the same idea in a new way. You will not change the idea, remember, you change the meaning, content will go down. You will have to correlate with the same meaning from the paragraph, but use some different words. The second principle is change vocabulary using synonyms. Whenever it's needed, you retain the same words, change few of the words, done and dusted. The third pillar is altering the sentence structure without changing his meaning. If the sentence says he eats the pizza, you can say pizza is eaten by him. You can alter the sentence structure, paraphrasing is done, and the last pillar is avoid copying exactly as it is the long lengthy phrases from the paragraph. This is not paraphrasing, this is copy pasting. Paraphrasing, yes, let's say the sentence has 10 words, and you take two, three words exactly as it is, the rest you do some operation. That's called paraphrasing. You don't have to invoke this too much. You retain as it is, but change few of the words, few of the sentence structures, it becomes a paraphrased sentence. Well, in the Pearson score guide, they clearly mention this as one of the components to get better scores for the content. However, you don't have to worry even if you don't do it, for normal paragraphs, copy paste method exactly retaining is working. You can rely on that, so many of our registered court students have also obtained 90, but when it is not applicable to paragraph, something like this when a conversation appears, you will be forced to paraphrase. So let's learn the art of paraphrasing, it's not that difficult, don't have to worry. Now let's look at a small example before we dive into this conversational kind of summarize written text. The internet has revolutionized how people communicate, learn, and do business. So how do we paraphrase this very simple, revolutionized, you can change the word to change. People communicate is how people talk, learn is to acquire, do business could be conduct business. I'm just giving you few of the words that you can easily change and paraphrase this. I'll give you different ways of paraphrasing the same sentence. The first way is internet has transformed, revolutionized, has transformed how people interact, communicate, is interact, learn is acquire knowledge and conduct business. One of the ways, second way, people now communicate, we alter the structure, instead of going from left to right, we're coming from right to left. People now communicate, learn, and do business exactly copy pasted differently, revolutionized is changed differently because of the internet, the last one. Online technology internet, the word internet we've changed it to online technology has revolutionized communication, communicate, people communicate, communication is a non form, education and commercial activities. Any of this, there is no perfect way, I do this, I get marks. Any of the ways you do, make sure you don't change the meaning, you get your scores. I hope it is simple. Now we will actually get into a paragraph, a conversational kind of paragraph and see how to paraphrase what template can be used. Let's unveil. So this is the template while speaker one explains. Don't mention speaker one and all, you need to write the person's name. Very soon I will show you the demo, while speaker one explains blah blah blah blah blah comma, speaker two says acknowledges, speaker two retorts, speaker two decides. Anything of this sort is fine, blah blah blah blah blah semicolon. Both agree, disagree or whatever it is. When you write the word both, B should be small letter because semicolon does not mean it's end of a sentence. It means you're still continuing it. Both agrees, disagrees, both acknowledges, both rivals, the thought, any of this, but start with both, write something and put a full stop, 55 to 60 words more than enough. Now let's take up a paragraph, a conversational kind of paragraph. This is the paragraph, something of this can definitely come. Nora says yesterday, my aunt had severe pain in her upper abdomen, and the doctor said it was due to bile stones. Mark says something, Nora Mark, Nora Mark, Nora Mark, Nora Mark, this way the conversation has been given. How do we solve it? Very simple, you will be given 10 minutes. It's okay, you can make use of the 10 minutes, anyway, you cannot finish it off in five minutes and use the remaining five minutes to the essay writing, isn't it so? So take your time, read through, understand. Don't have to worry, two, three minutes you can quickly read through and try to highlight few of the words. In I read, these are the things that I have highlighted. Nora, it was due to bile stones. Then Mark says, yes, bile pain often caused by gallstones. And then that's exactly what she described. Nora related her aunt's experience. That's one of the words that you can use. And then we have Mark, that's common. Gallstones block the bile ducts, block the bile ducts causes inflammation and pain. Fatty meals often trigger these attacks. You can highlight whichever the words you think are important. And then Mark regular exercise and maintaining a healthy weight reduce the risk. And then Mark says, lifestyle changes and medication can also help as suggested by doctor. But for recurring pain, surgery is often the safest solution. And Nora says, yes, eating a balanced diet and staying active might reduce the risk. So I'm going to use all these words and start writing. Maybe you can say something like while Mark says bile pain, um, often caused by gallstones, blocking the bile ducts by the gallstones leads to the inflammation and pain often triggered by the fatty meals. Nora relates her relates to it or relates completely to her aunt's experience, colon. Both agrees that lifestyle changes and medication suggested by doctor is the solution or sometimes surgery may be the safest option. But balance diet and staying active will definitely reduce this diseases risk, full stop. You do this, 100% you have to get full scores. All right, so this is what three sentences, while Mark explains the bile pain caused by gallstones occurs due to blockage of bile ducts, leading to inflammation and intense abdominal pain often triggered by fatty foods. Nora relates it to her aunt's experience, both discuss prevention through exercise, healthy weight, and balanced diet, and agree that lifestyle changes or surgery may be required depending on severity.
[15:05]All right, I've got the same question, bile pain, the same one, and I'm copy pasting it, I will arrange it neatly. Nora is small letter, and both is already small letter with the space, severity. I think that's perfectly fine. Nora, we will write capital letter and and we 58 words, we'll submit it and see how much marks do we get. And it's all nine out of nine. Well, it's working. This is the way it should be. You can count on this and just practice. Now we'll take up another paragraph. It's between David and Emma about wristwatch. So you can take your time, identify the keywords. First, pause the video, identify the keywords, write your answers and then resume the video to see what I have done. But you can do it the way you want it provided a grammar is all correct. All right, I really hope you are pausing the video, do it and now I hope you're resuming the video to understand how to do it. Very simple, I'm just randomly highlighting few of the words. I says watches is not only practical but also a style statement. David accepts that it comes in so many designs, classical, digital, sporty and even smart watches. I says each design reflects personality, elegance, professionals prefer elegant leather straps or metallic finishes. And it also reminds her of time management. I says it's symbolic, it represents discipline, value of time and personal taste. Indeed also agrees that whether it's analog, digital or smart, a watch will always remain special in human culture. And I says, yes, absolutely means both agrees. Watches may evolve, but their importance in style and daily life will never fade. So using this, we will try to write on our own. This would be the highlighted words. And this should be the answer. First one, while Emma highlights that wristwatches are both practical and stylish, serving as symbols of elegance, discipline, and personal taste.
[17:16]Discipline and personal taste. What does David says? David acknowledges their variety from traditional to smartwatches and their role in time management. He says over here, reminds me of time management, that's the second sentence. Both agree that despite technological changes, watches may evolve. Watches may evolve is despite their revolution, you could have used the same sentence as well. Watches continue to hold special place in human culture, cultural, functional, and emotional significance in everyday life. Something of this you can write or whatever you've written, do comment in the comment section. I personally will look into it and comment out whether it is correct or not. All right, the next paragraph, Lily and Mark, pause the video, try swallowing it. Do leave your comments in the comment section. I personally will look into it and review it and give the comments whether it is correct or not, or how to alter it and all those things. And now we move on to the last one. And this is the last one. You can pause the video, take your time. Do it or take a screenshot and highlight the words and then apply the template, write the answer and post in the comment section. I personally will look into it and tell you if it's correct or not, if it's wrong, I'm going to give my comments and correct it. You can make use of this opportunity. All right, I think that's all for today. I really hope I've given you the right content, right ideas and simple shortcut, a new template to handle these kind of scenarios if that happens in the exam. If you found the video useful, like, share and subscribe and leave your valuable comments in the comment section. This is Nakul and A K U L Nakul, signing off from skills PT soon will be back, till then take care. Bye bye, thanks now.
