[0:13]And it is barge time. So, we've got the old Link Belt 318 with a clam on it.
[0:28]And they are emptying out a barge. So, we'll walk over here quick, fast and hurry and see if we can get some video of this. Show you guys what's going on inside.
[0:52]So you can see you got a skid loader down in the bottom of the barge. Keeping stuff piled up in the middle so the so the clam can get to it.
[1:14]And it's got a flag on it, so they don't drop the clam on the skid loader. So let's uh, see if we can climb up here.

[7:20]It gets it. It's time to move the barge. It is.
[7:27]So what's the hardest part of doing this? Hand eye coordination. I know your heater works good.
[7:51]So when you're letting that down you're just using your brakes, aren't you? Just riding the foot brakes? Yep, that's it. No power down on it. So when you go to cable up, then you're yanking the clutch levers back to engage the clutches on the winches then. Correct. Okay.
[8:15]You got to move the barge.
[8:29]Okay, it's going to be noisy in there.
[9:37]So they got the lit set on there here in a second. You'll see these clutches, these brakes start engaging and disengaging.
[10:53]Really, it's pretty amazing technology, considering how old it is.
[11:03]So all these are constantly powered by the drivetrain by the engine. Every activates a function like cable up, then these clutches will engage this drum and it'll spin the winch drum backwards and wind rope onto it. And then when he goes to disengage and lower the load, then I believe it releases on the other side and allows the winch drum to spin the opposite direction.
[12:22]Right now, we're swinging. Okay, it's going to be swing.
[12:49]And that is one of the winches. So this one down here is obviously swing. If you're ever working around one of these friction cranes, anywhere inside here is not some place you want to put your booger pickers. It is, uh, you would lose them.
