december diaries: winter settling in & small joys

[22:40]Good morning. I'm just getting ready to head to the store. Um, Yoni woke up not feeling very well. He didn't feel good yesterday when he got back home. He just kind of had a cough and a few other symptoms. And then went to sleep. And then this morning wasn't feeling that much better. He's like falling asleep on the couch now, drinking tea with honey, electrolytes, hasn't had breakfast yet. Doesn't really have much of an appetite. So I think I'm going to go to the store and get some things for a classic chicken, chicken and rice soup. Maybe add some ginger and garlic in there. Yesterday, we decorated the tree. By the time we like got to it, I was a little bit lazy. And we didn't do the whole like hot chocolate, all that stuff. So we're going to just have like a day at home. Um, relaxing, which we haven't done in a long time. I feel like on the weekends it's usually because I'm filming, I'm like, oh, let's go, let's do a bunch of things. So it's going to be kind of nice to just be at home. Maybe I'll do some reading. I've been trying to get back into my reading. My book is not here, but I would love to read my book and just like relax, which I don't do much when I'm at home because I feel like I always have to be productive and I always have to be on my computer and doing something with my time than just relax. So maybe today was meant to be the day that we were just relaxing and chilling at home. I have to go to the store and have to get some things for the soup and the cookies, because I want to make these specific like molasses, spiced molasses cookies. I've also been wearing this jacket so much. I love a packable puffer jacket. And I also think this color just works with everything. Even the color scheme right now. So good.
