[0:00]Most students know about IIT and NIT, but today we are going to cover 10 such colleges other than IIT and NIT, if you get admission in any one of them, you are sorted.

[0:09]In this video, we will not talk about stats picked up from Google, but we will discuss what actually matters, like placements, overall college life, pros and cons, etc.

[0:16]In the video, we will look at cutoff and fees, but we will also understand the mode of admission where students are most confused.

[0:23]Let's start with the first college, PEC Chandigarh. Now, this college is so underrated that people don't even notice it.

[0:28]Affordable fees, decent placements, crazy ROI, and it is even older than IITs.

[0:33]This college was established in 1921, while IITs were started in 1951.

[0:39]The brand image to alumni network is unbeatable for this college. If we talk about tuition fees, it is quite affordable, around 1.8 lakhs per year.

[0:46]If we talk about the median package, it goes up to 12 lakhs. The average goes up to around 13.6 lakhs. The highest goes up to around 61 lakhs.

[0:52]This is a pretty good number, because even after having 12 branches, the average and median packages are decent.

[0:56]Many people are interested in branches like Civil, Metallurgy, Production. They can opt for this college because the average package for these branches is also 10 to 12 lakhs here.

[1:04]This year, this college saw an 18% increase in placements. Here, the highest package of 61 lakhs was received by three students, while the second highest of 52 lakhs was received by six students.

[1:13]The placements of this college are undoubtedly quite crazy. You get a green campus of 146 acres. You will definitely need a bicycle to roam around the campus.

[1:19]There are some cons of this college. It is a very old college, but its international and national reputation is not as good as IITs.

[1:28]Although I would say it should be, because the college is very old. Then comes its NIRF ranking. Those who are very obsessed with NIRF ranking will not like it because it ranks between 101-150 NIRF.

[1:35]But to be honest, it doesn't matter much. Hostel fees in this college are quite limited, meaning not everyone gets a hostel.

[1:41]And the college is quite old, so the infrastructure of hostels etc. can be seen old at some places. Now let's move to admission.

[1:47]You will get admission here through JEE Mains. Counseling is done through JOSAA and CSAB. The same counseling through which you get IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.

[1:54]If we talk about PEC Chandigarh, it itself comes in the GFTIs category. Take a look at its cutoff. If your rank is up to 50-60k, you can still get admission in this college.

[2:07]Whereas if you go till spot round, if your rank is 80,000, even then you get admission in this. If we talk about this college overall, if you have a low rank, you will get civil, production, or if you are interested in metallurgy, you can take admission in this.

[2:16]Because the placements are decent for all branches. Number two is DAIICT Gandhinagar. I made a review on this four years ago.

[2:20]And I'm sure people still don't have complete knowledge about this college. Let me tell you, this college is situated in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

[2:28]Its ROI is so solid that people leave NITs and take admission here. Because its highest package was 82 lakhs.

[2:32]The average goes up to 19.4 lakhs, while the median package is 18 lakhs. How can anyone ignore such placements of a college?

[2:39]You get a lush green campus of 50 acres. The coding culture of the college is also quite decent. If we talk about tuition fees, it goes up to 2.7 lakhs per year.

[2:46]It also has some cons, hostel is compulsory because it is a residential campus. Courses are quite limited, core branches like civil, chemical, mechanical, etc. are not available here.

[2:54]Otherwise, there are no special cons of the college. Now, people in Gujarat know about it, but all India students are confused about how to get admission in this.

[3:01]Let's understand. Look, you can get admission in two ways. If you are a Gujarat student, you will give GUJCET exam. Whereas if you are an all India student, you will give JEE Mains exam.

[3:09]Now after giving the exam, here comes the counseling part. Gujarat students apply in ACPC counseling, in which both your GUJCET and Class 12th weightage are taken and you get a merit rank.

[3:18]Whereas all India students apply in institutional counseling, which the college itself conducts. The form comes out every year on their website.

[3:25]You apply there, enter your JEE score, and then you get admission. If we look at the seat percentage, 33% seats are filled through ACPC counseling.

[3:30]All India seats are 52%, which are filled through JEE Mains. Then there are NRI seats which are around 15%.

[3:39]Those who think this college is only for Gujarat students, that is not true at all, in fact you will see that most of the seats here are all India seats, which you get through JEE Mains.

[3:47]Check its previous year cutoffs once. If you are from a reserved category, you will get admission even at a very low rank.

[3:54]So no doubt, DAIICT, overall, if we talk about placements, college fees, it seems like a perfect ROI college. Now at number three and number four, there are two colleges, one is DTU, the other is NSUT.

[4:04]These two colleges are so great that if you get any one of them, your life is set. DTU is a college established in 1941, even older than IIT Delhi.

[4:11]Whereas NSUT was built in 1983. People often get confused about which of these two colleges to take admission in. Let's understand the difference between the two.

[4:18]DTU's campus is a little bigger here, it has a 164-acre campus. Whereas NSUT's campus is a little smaller, around 145 acres.

[4:24]If we talk about DTU, it is considered quite chill in academics, whereas NSUT is a bit strict college.

[4:30]If we talk about student intake, DTU has a much higher student intake. Whereas NSUT has a limited student intake.

[4:36]If we talk about fests and events, DTU has crazy fests. Whereas if we talk about NSUT, it has good fests, but DTU has crazy fests.

[4:43]Whereas if we talk about branches, DTU has many more branches. Whereas NSUT has limited branches. The fees of both are almost similar, DTU is around 2.4 lakhs/year, whereas NSUT is around 2.3 lakhs.

[4:53]Whereas if we look at the placements, there is not a very big difference here. DTU's highest package was 85 lakhs, whereas NSUT's was 82 lakhs.

[5:00]DTU's CSE average goes up to 17.21 lakhs. Whereas NSUT's CSE average goes up to 17.5 lakhs. DTU's average is 15 lakhs, whereas NSUT's is around 12 lakhs.

[5:07]I would say there is still not much difference in placements, because if you look at tech branches, you will see almost similar placements here. Sometimes there is a difference of one or two lakhs, but it is not that big a difference.

[5:16]DTU's average seems a little higher because the batch size is large and the intake is also large. Whereas if you go to compare branch to branch, there is not a very big massive difference.

[5:23]Overall, if you look at both of them, if you want a chill environment, go to DTU. If you want a bit of a strict environment, go to NSUT.

[5:31]Now let's understand admission. For both colleges, you have to give JEE Mains. Counseling is JAC Delhi counseling.

[5:36]Here JOSAA and CSAB counseling, the counseling through which IITs, NITs, IIITs are obtained, you don't get admission through that. JAC Delhi counseling is held here. People forget to apply in this.

[5:43]Save the month, its application comes in May. Don't forget to fill it. You can see the cutoffs of both colleges on the screen.

[5:50]Take a screenshot quickly, let's move on. Now we have covered all the traditional colleges here. In all of these, you will see that their curriculum is quite theory-focused.

[5:58]Students do projects themselves, then they get a good package. But nowadays, many next-gen colleges have come whose main aim is practical-based learning.

[6:05]Like Vedam School of Technology, where your coding starts from day one. It offers you a four-year CS and AI B.Tech degree program, whose AI-focused curriculum.

[6:13]Along with that, you get a futuristic innovation lab, where you are building your projects. You get a 100-acre campus in Ajeenkya DY Patil University, Pune, and you also get a degree from here.

[6:23]It is a UGC approved college. You get a good big campus, so both academics and non-academics are balanced.

[6:27]The level of first-year projects is quite surprising, you start building all these projects here. Your full-time instructor here will be Subhesh Kumar, who has been a 5-star coder and ex-Google developer.

[6:36]And along with him, many MAANG mentors have together created this AI-focused curriculum. You get many MAANG mentors for one-on-one mentorship.

[6:43]50+ real world projects, up to 1 crore seed funding for startups, and most importantly, 6 months of paid internship is available here.

[6:50]Their early admission for the 2026 batch has opened. Here you will have to give V-SAT exam, and the scholarships etc. will also depend on this exam.

[6:56]Its exam is on 16th Jan, you can apply till 15th Jan. You can find more details in the description, feel free to check them out.

[7:02]The next two colleges in our list are, one is the pride of Mumbai, VJTI, and the other is the pride of Pune, COEP Pune.

[7:07]VJTI is a college established in 1887. Whereas COEP is from 1854. Both are among the oldest engineering colleges in India.

[7:14]We will understand their admission process in one minute, before that let's see their fees. Both have very affordable fees.

[7:18]VJTI's fees go up to 86,000 per year, while COEP's go up to 1.5 lakhs. Placements go up to 64 lakhs highest for VJTI, while average is 10-12 lakhs.

[7:27]Whereas CSE average goes up to 16 lakhs. Whereas if we talk about COEP's highest package, it is 52 lakhs highest. Overall average goes up to 11.6 lakhs.

[7:34]CSE average goes up to 17.3 lakhs. If you look at the placements of both, they are almost similar. ROI is good in both.

[7:40]The fees of COEP are slightly higher than VJTI here. If we talk about cons here, both campuses are a bit small.

[7:46]16 acres for VJTI, 36 acres for COEP Pune. Both these colleges are situated in prime locations of Mumbai and Pune, so the campus is a bit small.

[7:53]Private colleges are situated on the outskirts, so you get 200-400 acre campuses. In private colleges, there is not much college life outside the campus because they are on the outskirts.

[8:00]Here it's the opposite. Here you won't get much college life on campus, but outside the campus, the exposure of both Mumbai and Pune is quite solid. Both colleges are quite old, so the buildings etc. can sometimes seem a bit old.

[8:11]Sometimes what, if the building is old, it will always seem old. So yes, the infrastructure is a bit old. Hostel capacity is limited in both because the campus size is small.

[8:18]And this is one reason why the overall cost of living in Mumbai and Pune goes up if you don't get a hostel in college and live outside. In Pune, it's fine, you get some hostels and PGs.

[8:30]Mumbai is a bit difficult. In Mumbai, your expenses are a little higher. Even after all these things, if you get this college, take it, brother.

[8:38]There are some subjective cons, but they don't make much difference. Now let's look at admission. In VJTI, you get admission through MHTCET.

[8:42]Whereas in COEP Pune, you get admission through MHTCET and JEE Mains. In VJTI, only Maharashtra students can take admission.

[8:48]And in COEP Pune, both Maharashtra and other state students can take admission. For both colleges, you have to apply in MHTCET counseling, whether it is VJTI or COEP.

[8:52]If you want admission in both, you will apply in MHTCET counseling. But an important note here for other state students, there is no point in giving MHTCET exam. Don't give it at all.

[9:05]You get colleges only on the basis of JEE. If you go to give MHTCET exam, you will get some score. It's useless. So just apply in MHTCET counseling.

[9:12]They will ask for your JEE score in that, and on that basis, you will get colleges in Mumbai and Pune. The next college in our list is RVCE. Brother, you want a good college in Bangalore, whose placements are quite solid.

[9:19]And the college is in the eyes of every top company, then take RVCE. Its CSE average is 18 lakhs. Highest is 56 lakhs, and sometimes it even goes up to 70-80 lakhs.

[9:29]Overall, you get an average of 12-14 lakhs. I was looking at their placement sheet, brother, so many companies give placements of above 15-20 lakhs, and take many students.

[9:39]If you have got a good branch, then there are very few chances that you will get a package of 6-7-8 lakhs. You can expect above 10 lakhs, and very few companies give 15-20 lakhs.

[9:50]If you work hard, you will get 15-20 lakhs. This college is situated in Bangalore prime location, so the campus is small, too small. It's a 16-acre campus.

[9:55]And construction is going on in the college, so you don't get much space. In this college, you get admission through two exams, Comedk and KCET.

[10:01]All India students will give Comedk. Karnataka students will give KCET. I am saying again, if you are an other state student, keep Comedk as a backup option. It's awesome.

[10:10]Put MHTCET aside, Comedk is good. Because all the seats in Comedk are all India seats. So it is for all of you.

[10:17]If you get into the top 5-10 colleges, then it's sorted. Now its fees will vary according to the exams. If you take admission through Comedk, it will cost 2.8 lakhs per year.

[10:24]If you take through KCET, it costs 80,000 per year. I found the fee structure through Comedk a bit high, around 2.8 lakhs per year. Above that, hostel is separate.

[10:35]Then I saw its management quota fees, I liked this fee. All right, the next two colleges are. I will not reveal the name. You guess in the comments.

[10:39]If you can't, I will tell you. Both are arid colleges. One is a private college, one is a government college. One's fees are 35 lakhs for 4 years.

[10:48]And one's fees are only 12,000 for 4 years. All the smart people here must have guessed it. The CSE average of the left college is 25 lakhs plus. Whereas if we talk about the right college, it is around 20 lakhs.

[10:57]The left college's total campuses are three, and the other college has only one campus. This college's highest package goes up to 60 lakhs.

[11:04]Whereas if we talk about the right college, its highest goes up to 1.8 crores. Whereas the left college's average goes up to 18-20 lakhs. Whereas the right college's goes up to 12 lakhs because there are many branches.

[11:13]Guess both these colleges and tell me in the comments. I am not telling the mode of admission, I will add it in the pinned comment. Now tell me what topics you want videos on.

[11:20]As you know, our videos are of high quality, 50-70 hours of research goes into one video plus editing separately. That's why videos take time.

[11:28]I don't want to bring you a video every two days that has no value, there is no point, I don't make such videos, nor will I. But now videos will come, and we will try to upload more long videos, shorts keep coming.

[11:37]We will make long videos because if not now then when, JEE time has come, you need good admission in college. So as much as possible from the whole team, we will make more videos.

[11:44]Just tell me some topics in the comments so that I get a little idea that yes, you want these videos. With this, I will meet you in the next video, stay safe, peace out.
