Well, we know why because I've asked you to come here so it's for a wellness check. Yeah? Good. Okay. Okay. Good. Going well, going well. We're on the first page down. Only got about five or six to go. Okay. So, are you allergic to anything at all? Yes. Penicillin.

[5:32]Okay. Good. And, um, so what I'm going to do now is, I'm going to ask about your health history. And, um, got lots of questions to ask so just see if you can go as fast as you can because it's got quite a bit in it, okay? So, your integument and lymphatic system, okay? Um, do you have any problems with that? Like, um, do you have any acne or rash or, um, hair issues, eczema, nails, or scalp, or cancer? Sorry? Well, okay, so have you got any problems? Do you have like, ah, well, you don't have any pimples, so that's not a problem. Okay. Do you have any rashes on yourself? No. No. Good. Um, what about your hair? Your hair looks okay. Uh, eczema? Do you have any rashes on your arms or anything like that? No. Okay. Nails. Nails look good. Got, like dandruff or itchy scalp or anything? No. Good. Okay. So, I can tick, no issues. Great. Okay, moving on to sensory, so talking about your vision and hearing. Got any issues with your hearing? Um, well, just old age issues, but nothing. Okay. I don't wear a hearing aid. Okay. Good, good. What about glasses? Well, you don't have glasses on. Okay. Cool. Cataracts or glaucoma? No. Good. Okay, moving on. No issues. Musculoskeletal. So, have you got any sprains, strains, arthritis, osteoporosis, or have you like got fractures or had a fracture anywhere? Well, I'm on crutches at the moment for my ankle. So, what's that for? My ankle. What's wrong with the ankle? I fractured it. Oh, no. When? About three weeks ago. Oh, jeez. Okay. Okay. Fracture. Okay. So, fractured ankle. Ankle. Which one? Left or right? My right one. Good. Okay. Right. Beautiful. Okay. Um, so the rest is all fine. Good. Okay. So, breathing, talking respiratory stuff. Um, do you have any mouth ulcers? No. Okay. Good. Asthma, dental issues, bronchitis, pneumonia, or sinus issues? No. Good. Okay. Cardiovascular issues? Any problems with your heart? Like varicose veins, hypertension, uh, DVT, or BP? Like BP. Yeah. Like, do you have a high blood pressure? You know, high BP, hypertension? No, I take, um, Digoxin. Digoxin. Okay. Okay. Well, I don't really want to know about your meds so we'll just leave that for now. So don't worry about that. But you're on medication, so I'll just, I'll write down meds. Yeah. Meds. Cool. That's fine. Um, I'll let the doctor sort that out. I'm not, not important for me right now. Um, okay, so all fine. Good.

[8:28]Um, do you have, um, any neurological problems? You know, like, um, ah, it's got here headaches and migraines or anything like that? No. Good. Not at the moment. And what about, uh, elimination issues? Do you have any, uh, genitourinary or reproductive problems? Sorry. Genita- Yeah, uh, don't, um, like, do you have urinary tract infections or, um, you know, um, Not at the moment. Bladder issues? Do you have cancer? No. Well, you wouldn't have prostate checks, would you, because you're a girl. Okay. What about Pap smears?

[9:05]No. Do you have Pap smears? I've had one about a year ago. Oh, good. Okay. So, you have Pap smears. So, 2008. Good. And all okay? Yes. Okay. Good. Mental health. Um, do you have any mental health problems? Um, do you have, um, I can't ask you about depression so I don't want to know about that. But do you have any anxiety at all about anything? Are you worried about anything at all? No. Good. Last one. Um, do you drink? You do drink alcohol? Yes. Oh, good. Yeah, so do I. I like alcohol. Good stuff. Anyway, uh, what do you drink? Wine and sherry. And sherry. I have to say sherry. Sherry spelling it right. Okay. And how much do you drink? Um, two glasses a night.

[9:56]Well, that's not bad. I usually have about three, so, yeah, okay. Cool. That's good. Um, do you take any other drugs? Any illicit drugs, you know, like, um, marijuana or, um, LSD or anything like that? No. Good. That's good. Never done it in your life? No. Okay. Cool. What about smoking? Are you a smoker? No. No. I've only just given up smoking so I I, I gave up when I was 40. Oh, did you? Oh, okay. So, you're a past smoker. Oh. That's good.

[10:32]Anyway, Okay. So, good. So that's that's all about your history. Um, what I need to do now is ask, uh, hospitals. Have you ever been into hospital? Yes, when I had my children. How many kids have you got? Oh, yeah. Yeah. I've got two. Yeah. And that was back in 1960. Oh, jeez. That long ago. Sorry. Yeah, 1960. 60 and 1962. So they're close together. What did you have? Girl or boy? One of each. Okay. Any problems? No. No. They were very good children. They're lovely. Would you like to see a photo? Uh, not right now. But, um, if I can, um, I've got grandchildren now, too. Oh, have you, really? Wow. Do you love them?

[11:18]Oh, they're so lovely. But they keep me active, and it's really hard with my leg now. Yeah, I can imagine. I can imagine it would, um, be, be hard. Yeah. My, my mom loves my, my sister's got kids, and my mom loves it. She thinks it's great. Okay. So, moving on. I'm going to talk about now about your activities of daily living. So, what you do around, you know, normal life and all the rest of it. And, um, so the first one is, um, how do you go with maintaining a safe environment? Sorry, I, I don't understand what you mean. Well, it says here, um, maintaining a safe environment includes internal and external environments. Sorry.

[12:02]Hello? Yeah, look, I'm just in an interview at the moment. I won't be long. I'll, um, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll get back to you soon. Yeah. No, get me a coffee. I love a coffee. Thanks, love. Bye. Sorry about that. I'll just, I'll get it turned off, shouldn't I? Forgotten. Sorry, sorry. Catching up with a friend of mine for coffee today, and I, um, she's, she's meeting me there, so we had, I've got to sort of like hurry up a bit now because, um, she's waiting for me. So, yeah, so talking about maintaining a safe environment. So, physically, um, like, do you have any problems keeping yourself safe? Well, when I tripped over, I, I tripped over in my house, and, Oh, okay. What did you trip on? It was just the rug, you know, the corner rug, and I just tripped over. So, I, I'm trying to, you know, not use rugs in the house. So, but otherwise, I live at home quite happily. Rugs. Okay. Tripped. And that's right, so it's your right foot, isn't it? Something? Yes.

[13:00]Right foot. I was trying to tell you that I've been in hospital for my foot. Oh, have you? Oh, okay. Cool, cool. Okay. Let me put that in. When was that? That was two weeks ago on the 14th. And how long were you there for? Um, that's six days. Oh, that's a long time. Gee, did you get bored? Oh, the nurses were lovely. Yeah, I suppose because you were a nurse, you probably, it'd be okay, wouldn't it? Because you know what to do and you know what they're doing. So, yeah, I can imagine. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Okay. Um, okay, so are you worried about tripping and hurting yourself again? I'm, I'm worried about maybe I might hurt my hip next time, and I don't want to hurt my hip because, It'll be fine. Don't worry. You're not going to hurt yourself. You'll, you've got your crutches now, you've done it once, you'll be fine, seriously. It's, it's okay. Okay. Good. Um, okay, so sociocultural. What does that mean? Okay. Moving on. Um, communicating. Um, yeah, do you have any physical problems communicating? No.

[14:06]Good. Um, are you, are you worried about communicating? No. Okay. Good. And do you have a phone at home? Yes. Yeah. That's right. You've got, yeah, I gave you my number. Okay. Home phone. Good. And do you need an interpreter? No.

[14:26]Good. Okay. Moving on to breathing now. Um, do you have any problems with breathing? So, or oxygen or circulation?

[14:37]Oxygen. What do you mean? Like, you know, asthma. Have you got a history of asthma or, or, um, get breathless or, or anything like that? No. No. Okay. No problems. So, you're not worried about that? No. Good. And you said you smoked. You're a smoker. Do you miss smoking? I miss smoking. I've got the shakes from Mr. No, you'll get over it. It will get better. Yeah, you just got to be really, really strong. You'll feel a lot better later on. I'm finding it hard. I, I really am. You know, and that's why my friend's catching up with me to have a coffee and try and take away that, you know, of wanting to have a cigarette all the time. Um, okay. So, you haven't smoked for a good 20 years, isn't it? Yes. Yeah. Okay. Good. Uh, eating and drinking, drinking. Do you have any physical problems eating? No. No. Good. All your own teeth? Yes. Good. Okay. Um, how much do you weigh? Um, I weigh 72. Really? 72? Are you sure? You know a little bit more? Yes, I'm, I'm, I'm around 80 and you and I are about the same. No, I'm 72. When they was in hospital with my foot, they weighed me. Oh, good. Okay. Good. Okay. But I, I used to be 96. Like at the start of last year, I was 96 kilos. So I've, I've actually lost quite a bit of weight. That's, things are still a little bit big on me. Oh, yeah. You, um,

[16:34]Um, I don't really have, I don't like cooking anymore. I just, um, I'll, I'll pop out to the, to the shops and maybe at the food court and get something, you know, in the food courts, in the shopping centers. Um, or, like, go to a takeaway store, subway, or just once a day though. I, I pretty much eat just something during the middle of the day. But I don't like cooking anymore and, by the time nighttime comes, I can't, I can't be bothered going out to the shops. So, I might have like, if there's a pack of biscuits in the house, I'll eat a pack of biscuits. Oh, yeah. Yeah. And I have lost a lot of weight. Okay. And what do you drink? What's, like, do you have tea or coffee or anything like that? I really like Pepsi Max. I don't drink tea or coffee. How many cans of Pepsi Max do you have every day? Three. But I can't at the moment because it's Lent, and I gave it up for Lent. Oh, okay. Oh, did you? Why did you choose something that you like?

[17:47]I thought it would be good to give up something for Lent that I like. You learn that the hard way, don't you? My mom, my mom's Catholic, too, and, um, I, I'm Catholic, but I I don't practice Catholic. And, um, she says, "I don't give up anything, I just try and do more." I think that's a good idea, because then she can still drink her wine, and she can drink a Pepsi, like, you know, or whatever else and have the bad things in it. Doesn't really affect her that much.

[18:14]Um, okay. So, Pepsi, you eat a pack of biscuits, subway once a day. You lost a bit of weight, didn't you? You said you lost eating. That's good. That's good. Um, and you don't like your cooking.

[18:29]But you go to the shops and the shops are around the corner. So, all in all, yeah. That's, that's pretty good. So, do you have any problems? Do you get constipated or anything like that because you eat all this junk food? No. Okay. So, um, like, do you go to the toilet? Do you, like, how many, do you strain or have any problems with doing a, a poo or shit? I don't know what do you call it. Um, you know, Bowel motion? No, I don't. Bowel motion. No. Don't have any problems. How often do you go? Just once a day. Just once? Even with all that junk food? It's only once a day? Just once. Okay. Cool. Okay. Bowel movement. Once a day. Good. And what about going to the toilet to do wees? Um, whenever I need to, a few times a day. How much is a few? 1, 2, 5, 6, 11? A few, mean yeah. How many do you reckon? Four or five times a day. Good. Any problems, any burning, frequency, urgency? No. No worries. Good. That's normal, isn't it? Isn't that okay? Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, it's fine. It's just, you know, it's, because I've got this box, and I have to ask you how you feel about it. So, I've just got to ask you, that's all. Oh, no. I, I should be worried. No, no. It's fine. Don't worry about it. I'm sorry. No, no, it's fine. Yeah. Okay. So, do you you have a toilet in your house? Like, it's easy accessible, well, you've got crutches, that's all. So, I was just thinking, you know, Yeah, I've got a toilet in my house and, and it's okay to get to. Yeah, I can get to my toilet. Okay. Good. Good. Okay. So, talking about going to the toilet and doing stuff like that. Um, how often do you have a shower? Every morning. Morning. Okay. Do you have a shower or bath? I have a shower. It's a bit hard to get in with the crutches, but I, I like a bath in winter. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So, bath in winter. Good. And do you have, um, any problems? Yeah, you do. Yeah. Okay. You have problems getting in the shower, don't you? In the bath. I have problems getting in the bath. Okay. Getting in the bath. And, um, then do you have problems getting dressed? You probably would with the crutches, wouldn't you? Because it's a bit hard to get dressed with crutches. I sit on the side of my bed, it's okay. Yeah. Okay. So, I don't know what to say for that. Okay. Last one. Dying, loss and grief. Um, do you, do you have any physical illnesses that are going to, um, decrease your life expectancy, stuff like that? If you've got cancer. Oh, you haven't got cancer, you see, um, but have you got any history of anything that, that you might have to do with dying? That, that blue tablet that I take, the Digoxin, that that one's for the heart, but otherwise, it's okay. Okay. All okay. Good. Um, have you lost anyone recently at all? I, I lost my brother. He was my children's uncle. Oh, okay. Okay. And so that's really sad, and, so, when did that happen? So, when did that happen?

[21:52]Probably about, that was November, November 12. Okay. So, three months ago now. Yeah. And are you going okay? Not really. No, I, you know,

[22:15]Oh, are you? Um, um, like, how did he die? It was a car accident, and he was just in the wrong spot at the wrong time. Oh. And it's just, oh, that must be terrible. And how how's his wife?

[22:45]She's not coping very well, but I try and help her whenever I can. Yeah, you, you've got to be there for them. You know, it's it, it's really hard. And and but you, you know, you'll get through it, and and it's just, you know, these things, you know, they do happen. And it's it's just, it's just horrible when things like that happen. And I, You know, it's God, and I, I know you're a Catholic, and I'm a Catholic, too, and I, I know it's, it's life, but, you know, you'll get, we'll get through it. You'll get through it.

[23:16]So, so, I've got here like, you lost your brother. Who, who would be your support network? Would it be, if, you know, you're supporting your sister or your sister-in-law and that. So, who, who supports you? Oh, my, my two sisters. We were a close family. So, I've got two sisters as well, and, we're all trying to help one another at the moment. Do you, um, would you go to a counselor or anyone like that? Oh, no. I, I don't think so. They're good. They will help, you know? They, you know, they, they're, um, yeah, especially when you're going through grief and stuff like that. And you know, there's all these different phases that you go through, and, you know, have you got angry at him yet? Are you get mad at him or anything like that for going? No. No. Why would I be angry at him?

[24:05]It's, it's just part of grief and part of the process. And, and it just becomes, um, yeah, it just becomes a, um, you know, you've got to go through it. You've got to move on and and part of moving on is sometimes having to get angry and get mad, and get angry at your system. So, anyway, that's that's all I have to ask you today.

[24:28]Um, so what I'm going to do is I'm just going to go for a quick, see if I've got everything right. So, your name's Sharon Ann Anderson. You're born in 1944. You're English, you're retired, and you're a Catholic. You live in Joondalup. Your doctor's Martin Cooper. He's the medical center. You're only here for a wellness check. You're allergic to penicillin. Oh, what happens when you have penicillin? I get a rash. A rash. Okay. It's not Dr. Koops. It's Coop, it's not. Oh, sorry, yeah. No, it's Koops, not Cooper.

[25:02]Oh, okay. Good. Thank you for that. That's good. Um, no issues, no issues. You your ankle. Uh, you're on meds for your heart, but that's no no other problems there. You've got a bit of anxiety. But and you've had a Pap smear. You drink two glasses of wine a night. You used to be a smoker. You used to be a smoker. You had a couple of kids. And you've been in hospital, um, last week and so forth. You've had, you tripped over. You're a little bit worried about that around the house because of the rugs. So, you've moved your rugs. Um, no problems with communicating. You've got a home phone, but you don't need an interpreter. Um, take the dog for a walk. Um, you sleep from 10:00 to 5:00. You have a cup of tea to go to sleep. You've got sore foot, so that stops your sleeping. But apart from that, your health-wise, you're all okay. Your brother died recently. You've got your brother, your sisters to support you, and you're not really interested in a counselor.

[26:11]So, that's it. You've done it. That's it for today. I really appreciate you making the time to come in and talk to us. Part of a study, we'll take your stuff. We'll give it to other people. Um, confidentially-wise, we won't tell anyone else. We'll just keep it within our study. And, um, yeah, we, we'll probably get back to you again now and until we move you on to, uh, see the the doctors, the part of the study. Okay. Yeah. Great. Thanks for your time. Really appreciate it. Nice meeting you. Okay. See ya.
