[0:01]Hello, my name is Edi and I attend West Middle School in Rapid City, South Dakota.

[0:10]I won for the theme film production for my piece titled The Mistakes. This video is about somebody making a painting and messing up, but they keep on trying until they eventually give up. After a day, they come back and decided to turn paintings into an art show. This is an example of accepting imperfection because it shows that if you mess up, you could turn it into something beautiful.

[0:37]I was inspired because when I draw stuff and I mess up, I don't really erase it, and I just keep on going until I turn it into something different.

[0:53]Um, at first, I was thinking I can make pieces out of clay, but that was a lot of work and too hard for me to do that because they wouldn't stand up. And then I decided to use the art piece for drawing because there's already an art piece and I didn't have to worry about making it.

[1:22]I want people to know that if they mess up, they don't need to worry about stressing about why they messed up and keep on erasing it and starting over, and they could just turn it into something different.

[1:42]Um, art helps me in life or school because um, it helps me like get away from when I'm upset. And in art, I like doing it like with my friends or like, I like doing art with my family or going places to do art like painting.

[2:35]Hello.
