[0:00]Hey guys, hey guys, hey guys, hey guys, hey guys, hey guys, hey guys, hey guys, hey guys, hey guys, hey guys, hey guys. Hey guys, and welcome back to my channel. My name is Zach and today. I wanted to kind of just reintroduce myself. I stepped away from this channel for a while and I've sort of been coming back. Been uploading. Like, I'm really trying to upload two videos a week, so you're stuck with me now. Um and today, I asked you guys a bunch of questions. Like, I wanted to get you guys a bunch of questions and so I gave you a few videos and a few weeks to um get them in and so today, I'm going to be answering all of them answering, answering, answering, answering, answering all of your questions. I have them all written down here. in this leather journal. This is actually what I use to just brain fart. Like, there's like journal entries, video ideas. There's math in here, I'm pretty sure. It's what I just saw. Yeah. But, we're going to be answering your guys's questions today and a few questions that I thought that, that I thought, that I thought, that I thought, that I thought, that I thought, that I thought. I think there's a garbage truck outside, sorry if you guys can hear that. But and a few ones that I just thought it would be fun to answer. So, the first half are kind of ones that you guys asked and then the second half are ones that I kind of want to answer, so first up. What mic do I use? This guy is the Blue Yeti X. It is the like flagship model. It has on the back here, you can see that light. It has a button instead of like the knobs that the regular Blue Yeti has. I have two of these because I thought I broke one. Um, but it turns out it was fine. And so now I have one that attaches to a stand, so I can stand up and make videos. And then I also have another one that stays on my desk. I also the other mics I use are the DJI mics and then I think I just have a lavalier. I'm not sure what else other mics I've used. So, yeah. So it's a Blue Yeti X, this guy. Little lav mics that are the DJI mic ones like the first ones. Um then I just have like a lav mic that some I've used in some of my French videos. And yeah, I think that's it. I've also used I've also used um what is it called? A shotgun mic once in a while but it's not that interesting. Okay. One of the next questions I got was do I read and what would I recommend that you all read? So, yes, reading is one of my passions. I read every night before I go to bed. It's how I go to sleep. I get a mug of chocolate milk and I read for like an hour and then I go to bed. So, the I forgot I was doing a Q&A and someone asked me this in the comments like obviously and I just answered them in the comments. So sorry if I deleted that comment on you, but here's my answer. My favorite book like of all time would probably be it's hard, but it's like the series. A song by fire. The Game of Thrones series. I read that a while ago. Um that's actually what got me back into reading after high school was A Game of Thrones. And I would definitely recommend that to anybody because George R Martin didn't get an HBO deal for nothing. Um my favorite, favorite book is probably this one. Oh shoot. Okay, thank God that wasn't that loud. Okay, it is Red, White, and Royal Blue. This is my favorite movie that and Call Me By Your Name. And my favorite book. And now I own it because yeah. It is about Henry and Alex and they are Alex is the son of the American president and Henry is the Prince of England, the spare Prince of England and they end up falling for each other. So that's one of my favorite books and then I don't know, I don't can't think of anything else right now. Oh, and if you're just like looking for fun, read Percy Jackson. That book, those books are amazing. Rick Riordan, my king. So, all right, yes, I read and those are the books I'd recommend. Um this person, I forgot. I didn't write down the name, so I just have the questions, but I remember this person asked me this question. And it was about my relationship with religion because I did make a Bible reading video where I read Genesis for you all. And I think this is a really interesting question and I think a lot of people probably wouldn't answer it, but I'm not most people, so. Um my relationship with religion is ever being and flowing. I sometimes like I'm in it right now. I'm going to church every Sunday. I'm going with my stepdad. I am not reading the Bible right now, but you know. Same thing. Um and then sometimes I will not go to church for a while. I'll kind of be in wherever I need to be at that moment and then maybe I'll go back. I've also done a lot of exploring with the different kinds of churches. So, I wasn't raised religious in any sense of the word. Um so I'm just been like exploring what religion means to me. What like I'm about to be 20 years old and so I'm like, well, if I want this in my life, you got to go out and get it. You can't just like passively let everything hit you. So, yeah, I've been Catholic for some time. I tried Lutheran churches. I really I kind of like the Lutheran churches. Um but I also love the like way a Catholic mass is conducted. I think they are efficient as hell and I really, really respect that. But yeah, my religion, my relationship with religion is constantly changing and I think that's true for everybody. Like, there's no one set time where you're like, yeah, my relationship with religion is the same that it was two weeks ago, the same that it was yesterday. Like, you know, it's always changing and you're always finding out more things, learning what this church does versus the other. And I've always been like really curious about faith, so I'm just exploring. Like my cousin's like to tell me. If you are practicing then you're practicing. You don't have to say you're one thing. You don't have to be one thing if you're going to church. If you're showing up, if you're reading the Bible, that's what God wanted. That's what God wanted you to be a better person. And so if doing this, it being that the church helps you be that better person and helps you walk away from sin then. Everyone's winning. But if you like look to the church, it's like, this is my way out for all of these horrible things I've done then, yeah, obviously maybe check, check yourself. Um but yeah, my relationship with religion is good. And currently I'm shopping for a new church because I like exploring. So, Okay, the next one is really, really top-secret. How tall am I? Someone said they're like, I can't tell if you're like super short or super tall or like in the middle. I was like, well, I'd love to see you guys guess. Um but I am uh 6'5". Would you believe? No, I'm kidding. I am 5'9". So, I'm very, very average. I'm an average boy. Um I might get taller. My my family has like really, really weird growth spurt patterns. So, I might get taller, might stay 5'9", like it's fine. You know what I mean? Um next question is what are my favorite videos to make? And my favorite videos to make are um actually, I actually, I don't know. I really just like making videos that I want to make, if that makes sense. Like, recently I've been making a lot of French videos because I've been getting back into speaking the language, so that's been fun. Um I like making the football ASMR videos because that is like one of the biggest things in my life is watching Manchester United, watching the Champions League, watching playing FIFA, like all this stuff. So I just like making videos that I want to make, if that makes sense. So there's not like one set video that I'm like, every time I like to make that one, but every time that like the inspiration strikes. I'm like, well, I have to make this video. Those are the ones that are my favorite because you feel so energized and you're like, yes, this is the video I'm going to make. This is how I'm going to do it. Set up the camera, set up the mic. Let's go. And I don't know, I just love making content in general. I am a film school person at heart, so all of the content is really fun to make, I think. But, yeah, I think just like or, well, probably then my favorite videos to make are probably the football ones. I just every time I like talking about football because I watch like most of the content I consume is about football. I'm watching football reactions. I'm well, learning about the tactics. I'm just I'm diving in head first to football. I love football. I can't wait for the World Cup this summer. Viva La Portugal. Okay. The next question is, how did I get so good at French? And I I don't know because I like to compare myself a lot, so I don't really think I'm that good at French. Uh but I guess compared to like most, don't say that like I just don't think I'm that good at French. So, I started taking French classes when I was 14 years old. I started when I was in high school because well, I'll answer that in a second, but my level of French is so good because I was in those classes learning all this stuff for four years. I never stopped learning French for four years. And during those four years, I got So in between these two years, I got to go to France and that was like what really, really opened my eyes to be like, oh my God, people here are awesome. They speak this language that I know that I've been learning and they are just like, it's just, I don't know. Like, it's just opened my eyes and I just knew that I needed to continue this because bilingual people are some of the smartest people on the planet. If you didn't if you didn't know. The like mental work it takes to learn another language to be able to put that much energy into learning something that furthers you in life is a beautiful thing. And so, yeah, I also just like do Duolingo. I consume French content. I read a lot of French books like the learning books. Like, I don't know, if you guys like, it's like, it'll be just like a book and it'll be like French phrases. Like, I have a couple of them in my car right now. I just love consuming French content. I listen to French music. You the key to learning a language is immersing yourself in it as much as possible. So like I can't move to France right now, so I can't immerse myself that way. So I have to like actively make sure that I'm consuming content that is French that will further my learning. This goes into the next question this person had, which was how does the language system work in the US? And so I'm going to answer this on two levels. I'll tell you how the uh language system works in US schools and then I'll talk about like the Apple and like the language system. Um so in school, it all hardly depends because I live in Colorado. So here in Colorado at specific middle schools, which are grade 6 through 8, you can take a language, but only if they have it to offer you, right? And but in high school, you can take languages because they're there, right? That's where most US kids learn new languages is in high school. And so that's where I started and I started with French One went all the way up to French Four. Um but like some of the kids I was in that class with were technically French Five because they had gone to those specific middle schools. And so the way it works is like in the first year, you're learning the basics. You're learning the accent. You're learning the, which most people don't, by the way. You're learning the numbers, you're learning the alphabet, you're learning like phrases like, like that. Sorry. Like, I just tried to speak French off the dome and it didn't go very well.
