Take the metal handles off a binder clip, cut off the bent ends, insert them into the washer holes, then pull it out easily with pliers. Two, if you lose your keys while outside, do not smash the lock with a hammer. A magnet can do the job. Stick it under the lock shackle, gently pull to the side and the lock will open. Three, key snapped off inside the lock. Do not poke it with a needle. Heat up a hot glue stick, press it firmly onto the broken key surface, wait for it to cool and harden, then pull the key straight out. Four, when nailing cable channels, it is easy to crack the plastic. Cut a nail in half, slide a copper tube over it then hammer it in safely. Five, drill bit slips when enlarging a hole in wood. One scrap board fixes it. Stack it on top as a guide, drill through both boards. Clean hole, no chipping. Six, slide a bike inner tube onto a steel pipe. Hammer evenly around the edge. You get a neat rubber gasket. Very useful in emergencies. Seven, screws loosen easily in concrete blocks because the grip is too weak. Soften a hot glue stick with heat, push it into the hole then tighten the screw. After it cools it locks in solid. Eight, when reinforcing a piece of wood at an angle, it's hard to drive the screw directly in. First, screw it in vertically for one semester, then tilt it to the right angle. It will drill through and secure it easily. Nine, outdoor faucets freeze easily in winter. Cut a plastic bottle in half, fit it over the faucet, you've got yourself a simple insulation layer. Ten, insert a fork in the door gap, then hang an iron cup. Whenever someone pushes the door from the outside, the cup will fall and make a loud noise. It'll scare off intruders. Eleven, when the bearing and steel pipe diameter don't match, use wire to fill the gap, then gently tap it in with a hammer. The installation will be secure. Twelve, when the ring wrench is much larger than the bolt, insert an open end wrench to adjust the opening. Apply pressure, this will transfer the rotational force of the wrench.
