The Vow! 💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

[0:00]Hiya, this is my piece the vow from my new book poems and all. I'm beginning to think you were made just for me. I'm in awe of how lucky one person can be to be loved through each compromise, question or qualm, to be sheltered from storm and enshrined in the calm. To be held not like glass, but the end of a deal not to be made to hurt, but encouraged to heal. Never begged for forgiveness, but asked for permission, and in place of excuses, be offered contrition so patient, consistent, constructive and good. Seeking not to cause conflict, but be understood by the person I know, knows me inside and out, who can calm any storm and assuage any doubt. Who's not caused, but will wipe every tear on my face, gives instead of cold shoulders a warming embrace. In each other, we found it, that thing that we crave, may it burn like desire and break like a wave. Lapping shores of the oceans I'd travel to find just to love you for longer, be loved back in kind. I promise to hold you in sickness and health, richer, or poor, I am sure in your arms, I found wealth. I will love you as long as my spirit draws breath, and much longer for this kind of love knows no death. I am yours for as long as you'd like to be mine, if you ask me, I'm certain, forever is fine.
