[0:00]A recent story, two great theologians in America had beef. Rewind a few decades, you got two guys that are very prominent American theologians.
[0:08]And they come down on the exact opposite sides of this specific issue.
[0:12]On this issue, the theological camps are known as Calvinism and Armininism.
[0:16]So on the one hand, you got Billy Graham, who was in general viewed as an Armenian, high free will guy.
[0:23]On the other hand, you had a dude named R.C. Sproul, who was like the figurehead of Calvinism.
[0:29]These dudes people assumed had like serious beef. So this actually happened in Nashville.
[0:34]R.C. Sproul comes into Nashville and he's talking, he's giving lectures on predestination and free will.
[0:40]And then he does a Q&A. And according to reports in the Q&A, somebody raises their hand and they ask the question,
[0:47]Doctor Sproul, you and Billy Graham have a vehement disagreement on this doctrine.
[0:52]And they said, Doctor Sproul, do you believe that you will see Billy Graham in heaven?
[0:57]And there's this big long tense silence and he leans into the microphone and R.C. Sproul says, No.
[1:05]And then he just lets it sit like that. And then after about five seconds, what I'm told he did is he said, No,
[1:11]because when we get to heaven, Billy Graham will be so near the throne of God and I shall be so far, I will not have any chance of seeing Billy Graham.
[1:20]Here's a big idea, man. There are some things, doctrines that are worth dividing over, but listen, don't divide Christians that Jesus died to unite in unnecessary things.
