[0:00]Doing a shrug is one of the worst exercises you can do if you're trying to build an aesthetic body. Look at this guy for example. He has big traps and it makes his physique look super narrow. Whereas if he would have kept his trap smaller by not doing as many shrugging movements, he could have created a much wider look to his overall physique. And this is because the bigger your traps are, the more of this sloped appearance you create to your physique, and it just totally diminishes the dominance of your shoulders. And I'm not saying don't train traps, like I'm all for creating sizable middle and lower traps. What I'm saying is just refrain from doing those vertical movements that are going to heavily stress the upper traps. Because once you build your traps, for whatever reason, the neck area and the traps, they tend to hold their size really well, so it's very hard of muscle to shrink. And guys will say that they want big traps, you know, like Tom Hardy, but it's like, dude, like you're not Tom Hardy, you don't have the same frame as Tom Hardy and it's likely not going to look good on you. I have a nine-week workout program. It's all about making you look aesthetic, so there's not a single shrug in it. You can find it at Dylansprogram.com.
