He was tall, faceless, wore a black suit, and was said to live in the forest. The girls believed he was real. They thought if they didn't obey him, he would hurt their families. To prove their loyalty to Slenderman, they came up with a terrible plan. One day they lured their best friend into the woods, pretending they were going to play hide and seek. Deep in the forest, the two girls attacked her, stabbing her 19 times with a knife. They left her there, thinking she would die. But the injured girl crawled to a nearby bike path, where someone found her and called for help. Thankfully, she survived. When police asked the attackers why they did it, they said it was for Slenderman. The story shocked the entire country. What started as a made-up internet story ended in real pain and fear.
