[0:00]Dear members of our alumni, their family, friends, relatives, ladies and gentlemen. I'm immensely pleased to address you today on the occasion of your get together and installation ceremony of SNGCE UAE chapter. This is really great. Allow me to tender my hearty appreciation to all of you who have taken initiative for organizing this wonderful event. All your teachers back at your alma matter joins me in wishing you a grand and great time today and all other days to come. Friends, as you are aware, campus life is special for everyone. The four years that you have spent at Sri Narayana Gurukulam College of Engineering could have been one of those most wonderful years in your life. You came to the campus as small little seeds and went out from the campus as big green trees giving shades and shelter to many in the society. Friends, those four years that you have spent in your alma matter were equally or even more passionate to your teachers. You have made your teachers proud by being very passionate students and also flourishing yourself to your full potential. You have made your teachers proud by grooming yourself as responsible citizens capable of assuming leadership wherever you go. Through you, friends, your teachers learned that they can touch the hearts of every student and make a difference in their lives. Your accomplishments today give more energy and synergy to your alma matter to explore more avenues of knowledge and mold younger generations with still more confidence and courage. Friends, many of you are occupying senior and commanding positions in industries, service sectors, individual consultancies or have made strong footprints as proven entrepreneurs. Many of our young graduates are in the path of accomplishing greater heights in life. At this junction, let me also take few moments to brief about the progress that your alma matter has made during this period. Started in 2002 with an intake of mere 130 students from three streams. Today, we have grown as one of the biggest and most reputed engineering colleges in the state with B.Tech programs in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science and Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding Engineering. Today, we also offer M.Tech programs in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science. Many of these streams offer more than one M.Tech programs. In addition to this, we offer two year MBA program, three year MCA program and also the two year lateral entry MCA program. Friends, you will be proud to know that your alma matter has been selected as the only research center of its kind in the state of Kerala by the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) to offer PhD programs. We have also obtained the most prestigious NACC accreditation in the year 2016. Your alma matter today is flourished with more than 550,000 square feet of built-up area fully equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities. Our incubation center is supporting budding entrepreneurs to nurture their startups by experiencing the right environment. Friends, you should be proud to know that your alma matter has set up the MIT conceived mini fab lab facility in association with the Kerala Technological University and startup initiatives of the state government. The fab lab can facilitate converting the ideas of individual inventors from conceptual stage to a fully tested working model. You come to the lab with a conceptual idea of a sports car and come out from the lab with a working miniature model of the same. That is the kind of potential this lab can facilitate. I invite each one of you to visit the lab to experience this facilities. Let me also take the opportunity to welcome each one of you to the campus to meet your teachers, to visit your previous classrooms and also to share your real life experiences with our current students. Through you, we would like our current students to hear that what the world outside expects from each one of them. It would be a good gesture from your side if you could share information that will support your juniors in getting placements. Even otherwise, your very presence and interactions will be a great source of motivation to your juniors and to your teachers as well. Friends, time to conclude. Relive your memories today.
