[0:03]The off-angle strike is a positioning technique that allows the attacker to land a hit by shifting outside the opponent's direct line of attack. Activated by stepping slightly to the side as the opponent commits forward, the attacker avoids the attack while staying within range. Because attacking requires forward focus, the opponent's attention stays locked in one direction. This creates a brief opening where the attacker is no longer directly in front of the opponent. From there, the attacker can strike from the side before the opponent can react. Skilled fighters use off-angle positioning to create openings that are difficult to track in real time. In close-range exchanges, the off-angle strike is one of the most effective combat mechanics, as it rewards positioning over speed or strength.
