[0:00]So Apple and Samsung and Sony and Bose and a lot of the major manufacturers of earbuds also make a second category of earbuds that almost nobody really talks about.
[0:09]Like people don't really compare these earbuds that look like donuts from Sony or these that look like earrings from Bose or the AirPods 3 or of course, how could we forget Samsung's Galaxy Buds Live that look like a bean in your ear?
[0:23]And that might make you wonder why are all these companies making like wildly different earbuds, a totally different design like this?
[0:30]Why isn't it a solved problem? Like in ear earbuds, the ones that have silicone eartips really mostly all look the same. There's not a whole lot of variation there, but this category of open earbuds has a ton of variation.
[0:43]So in this video, I want to dive into the differences between these and kind of figure out which one's actually the best one for which use case.
[0:50]And also, why would anybody want to have these earbuds in the first place?
[0:54]Why are companies even focusing any effort on this style of earbud?
[0:58]So we'll talk about the categories for this comparison in a second, but kind of rewinding into why people even make this style of earbuds.
[1:05]Well, there's a couple advantages. For one, having an open pair of earbuds allows you to hear your surroundings.
[1:10]But you might say Mike, that's a solved problem, just use transparency mode.
[1:14]And that is true, but if you're doing something like biking or running, or if it's really windy, sometimes transparency mode has adverse effects and doesn't really work that well.
[1:23]So biking is a viable option here, but that's not the main reason I think people would wear these.
[1:27]One of the other reasons people could wear them is because they're just sometimes more comfortable, and I'll talk about comfort later on in the video.
[1:36]But wearing open earbuds means your ears never get hot, they never get sweaty, you can hear all your surroundings, nice airflow.
[1:42]Overall, they are very, very comfortable and you almost never get ear fatigue in your ear canal.
[1:46]Thirdly, these are generally more hygienic. You're not going in your ear and so sharing these earbuds means that you're not worried about any disgusting earwax or anything like that on a pair of earbuds.
[1:57]Like these are just much cleaner. Now, there are other reasons as well for why people choose to wear these earbuds, but those are just some on the surface.
[2:05]Now, the contenders in this video, I already mentioned some of them.
[2:08]We have the Sony Linkbuds. These are the original Linkbuds, not the Linkbuds S, and these cost $139.
[2:14]Then we have the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live.
[2:17]These have dropped tremendously in price. They're probably about $80 if you can find them right now.
[2:22]Then of course, we have the Apple AirPods 3.
[2:26]Now, these are more traditional. They look more like the regular AirPods, but again, they don't have that silicone tip, so they're technically an open pair.
[2:33]You can hear your surroundings, they don't have active noise cancellation, and of course, they don't go in your ear, so they're more hygienic as well.
[2:40]These are selling for $169. Of course, we have the brand new Bose Ultra Open earbuds.
[2:46]These just came out about two weeks ago, and these earbuds are really drastically different than pretty much anything else on this table.
[2:53]And these are selling for $299, a much more premium price, but we'll see what you actually get for that price.
[2:58]And of course, the fifth contender has to be the Shock Open Fit.
[3:03]Now, these earbuds, Shocks has really been making a lot of open earbuds, it's kind of like their main thing.
[3:07]A lot of them were bone conducting as well.
[3:10]Uh, these are just basic over ear open earbuds, and they kind of represent a whole category of like uh, not the big brands, not like Apple and Samsung that make earbuds like this.
[3:21]All right, so to give you a better idea of what these earbuds are, let's start off with the first category being the fit and the comfort, kind of combining the two of them.
[3:26]And I'm going to go in order from what I consider to be first place down to what I would say is last place.
[3:31]So, starting off in first place for the best fit and the best comfort, I would say these are actually the Bose Ultra Open earbuds.
[3:39]Now, these have a really unique design, kind of a boot shape that goes in your ear, a little cylinder that goes behind your ear, and a small rubber tape that kind of connects them.
[3:47]So, putting these on my ear, I find that while they can move up and down, that's probably a good thing because everybody has different ear geometry.
[3:55]So, these are more flexible to more ears out there, and also, because this is not really part of your ear that has particularly much feeling, I can wear these and I I basically don't even know they're on my ears.
[4:05]Like, you can feel them when you put them on, but it's very, very easy to forget they're there.
[4:09]I've gone for runs with these, I've done burpees, some more intense workouts, and they absolutely never move, they never fall off my ears.
[4:16]And so, as far as fit and comfort goes, these are a clear winner.
[4:20]In second place, I have to say are actually the Apple AirPods 3.
[4:24]These are incredibly comfortable for me. I find that running with these, they don't fall out, I don't really think they move too much, and I think the AirPods are kind of a tried and true design.
[4:34]A lot of people really do like them for fit and comfort, but, you know, take it with a grain of salt, they aren't really as flexible as the Bose earbuds, so they're not going to be a perfect fit for everybody.
[4:43]Then of course, we have in third place, the Shocks Open Fit.
[4:47]These go over your ears, so obviously incredibly secure.
[4:50]The only reason I didn't give them a higher than third place here is because they are a little bit heavier, and in addition, they can be a little tricky to put on.
[4:57]Like they can move around a little bit, so more the comfort aspect gets taken back rather than the fit.
[5:03]Once they're on, they are definitely very secure.
[5:06]I don't really think these fall off my ears, or would fall off my ears in any workout, at least they haven't yet, but so that's why they are in third place.
[5:12]In fourth place, we've got the Sony Linkbuds.
[5:16]These are very, very secure, but for me personally, I find that I do get some ear fatigue from having them in my ears all the time.
[5:22]So, great, comfortable, but not going to be number one compared to the others.
[5:27]And then in last place, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live.
[5:31]Now, this is unfortunate because these, I would say, are probably the most comfortable, maybe second most comfortable on this table, but the fit is the problem.
[5:37]The fact is, wearing these, if I walk around with them, uh I find that they move a lot, which first of all, really affects the audio quality.
[5:43]But second of all, makes them very easy to fall out of my ears, and unfortunately, if you want to adjust them, you almost always accidentally hit the touch controls, which ends up pausing your music or uh doing whatever else you end up accidentally doing.
[5:58]That's category number one. Category number two, let's get into a sound bleed test. All right, so, for this test, I have a microphone at about 20 inches from my head, so probably as close as somebody would sit to me, maybe on a park bench or something, and I'm going to play each of these earbuds at 50, 75, and 100% volume.
[6:17]You can get a reference right now on what my voice sounds like. We can see how the sound bleed compares.
[7:10]Now, category number three, we're going to get into a microphone test with both indoors and outdoors.
[7:15]All right, so this is an indoor microphone test with the Bose Open earbuds.
[7:20]I'm in my studio, there's really no echo, this should be a very easy environment, but how well do these actually perform here?
[7:25]So this is an indoor microphone test with the Galaxy Buds Live.
[7:29]Now I know a lot of people are going to comment tell me that I'm not wearing these right, there's different ways to wear them.
[7:33]I understand that, like this is what I this is like the only way they fit in my ears, and I think that's like mostly right, it looks like they're sticking in my ears, they're they're really not.
[7:43]Um, but regardless, this is a microphone test.
[7:46]They sound pretty natural, I would say, but let me know what you think. And now the Sony Linkbuds inside.
[7:50]Again, the microphones, I I think they perform pretty well inside and outside.
[7:54]Definitely a good bit of compression on there as well.
[7:57]Um, so in a student environment, how do they sound to you? Now for the indoor microphone test using the Shocks Openfit earbuds.
[8:04]These, for my experience, have actually performed surprisingly well, much better than I actually expected them to sound.
[8:10]But let me know what you think of them in this quiet studio office like environment.
[8:14]And of course, the Apple AirPods 3.
[8:18]These, in my opinion, have always had a a really excellent microphone, both inside and outside, but let me know what you think of them and how they compare to the others on this list.
[8:26]All right, so this is a microphone test outside with the Sony Linkbuds.
[8:29]It's breezy, there's a road behind me, there's definitely some traffic, so we'll he see how these actually compare.
[8:35]And now this is a microphone test outside with the Apple AirPods 3.
[8:40]Again, there's a breeze here, there's some traffic behind me, so they should be a they should be a pretty difficult environment for these microphones.
[8:46]Now for the Galaxy Buds Live right here, I always thought these sounded more natural than most other earbuds, but primarily because they really don't block a lot else.
[8:57]All right, that's unfair, that's a little too loud.
[9:01]Uh, anyway, these don't block a lot of sound, so they sound more natural, but with that, much less voice focus.
[9:06]Now, these are the Shocks Open Fit.
[9:09]Definitely of all the earbuds, uh I would say these and the Bose sound the most natural to me, like my ear is not blocked at all, I can hear all my surroundings, but how do the microphones actually perform?
[9:17]Let me know. Now, these are the Bose Open earbuds.
[9:22]Again, they sound very natural to me, not my really no blockage at all in my ear, but how do these microphones actually sound?
[9:27]All right, and now of course, category number five.
[9:30]This is going to be the aesthetics of these earbuds.
[9:33]This is a kind of a tricky one because it's so subjective.
[9:36]Everybody has different needs, maybe you want to look really cool and flashy, maybe you want to just kind of blend in and have something more subtle.
[9:41]So I'm going to say a three-way tie for first place.
[9:46]The three pairs that I think really don't draw any attention to you, and then we have fourth place and fifth place, the ones that I think just look less nice in my opinion.
[9:53]So the three-way tie, I would say it's between the AirPods.
[9:57]I think AirPods are very well accepted as a a decent looking pair of earbuds.
[10:00]If you're looking to just kind of blend in, AirPods 3 are definitely going to do that.
[10:04]Also, we have the Sony Linkbuds.
[10:07]These are a lower profile, more subtle out of everything on this table.
[10:11]I think these uh probably like are the least flashy, they just look like regular earbuds.
[10:14]I don't think anyone would think too much of them. And of course, we have the Bose Open earbuds.
[10:20]Now, these I put on here because for some people, it's more of a fashion accessory, and I think something like this does look quite nice.
[10:27]I would like if Bose released the more colors, but besides just black and white.
[10:30]Um, pretty much everything on this table is only available in black and white, except the AirPods, which only come in white, and the Galaxy Buds Live, which have like three or four different colors.
[10:38]But back to the Bose. If they came out with like a gold color, or more of a I know there's like a white, but more of an obvious silver, I think that these could probably be more of a fashion statement.
[10:50]I think a lot of people would like that, but again, that's my opinion on the aesthetics of these. In fourth place, the Galaxy Buds Live fall here only because they are so shiny.
[10:57]They're very low profile, and I like that, but just having such shiny bean-shaped things in my ear, I feel a little bit like they're not quite on the same level as the other three I mentioned.
[11:06]And then in fourth place, unfortunately, are the Shocks Open Fit.
[11:09]I don't think they look particularly bad, but they are definitely quite large, and I think that wearing these, like they look a little bit older in my opinion of an aesthetic, kind of like something we would see probably back in like 2016.
[11:21]Moving along to the next category of the best case designs.
[11:24]Now, there's actually a lot of variation in the case designs here, some of them having wireless charging, some of them not having that.
[11:29]Larger, smaller.
[11:32]So I would say in first place, this one. Now, I am definitely no Apple shill. Like I I'm very critical of Apple products, uh, but I have to say their case on their AirPods is something I really do like.
[11:42]They have wireless charging, they have MagSafe on here.
[11:46]Unfortunately, this one does have lightning, which I don't like charging with the lightning cable, but again, MagSafe and other other methods are are really my normal means.
[11:53]We have got a nice aluminum hinge on the back, a really solid case uh that just feels nice.
[11:56]I think that they did a great job there. Moving along to second place, we have the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live.
[12:02]I like that you can charge these, you can set them upright on your desk, so, unlike the AirPods, which kind of awkwardly sit diagonal.
[12:09]These sit upright, they do have wireless charging, they charge with USB type-C.
[12:14]Overall, a really solid design. I think Samsung has been crushing it with their with their case designs lately. Then in third place, we have, of course, the Sony Linkbuds.
[12:21]The only reason these are not higher is because, one, they do not have wireless charging, and two, I kind of have mixed feelings on the physical snap on the hinge.
[12:30]So rather than a magnet, like every other pair, these have a little physical clip that you can hear right there, and you have to push the button to actually open them.
[12:38]It's not bad, and it's also a little snap on the inside to well, on the hinge to hold it open.
[12:44]You can see it snaps to stay open, and the earbuds snap into place as well.
[12:47]So, the engineers on this love snaps, and these are great snaps, but it is what it is.
[12:53]It's also a really small case. I love how tiny this case is. Then we have in fourth place the Bose case.
[12:59]This one also doesn't have wireless charging, it's a little bit larger. That's the only reason it's here.
[13:03]And in last place, just because it's absolutely enormous, the Shock's case.
[13:08]This thing, uh is just I think way too big. It also doesn't have wireless charging, so I I think the case is a little bit of a miss, but it's kind of it has to be big for how big the earbuds are, but carrying this in your pocket compared to like this.
[13:19]Like just look at that. Look at that difference. All right, now let's talk about the sound quality.
[13:26]This is going to be very interesting in my opinion, first of all, because they all have such different designs, but also because listening to open earbuds has the disadvantage, the inherent disadvantage of when you're in louder environments, you really can't hear your music nearly as well, and you end up having to turn up the volume substantially louder.
[13:40]So, kind of tied in with sound quality, I want to talk about how loud these are.
[13:43]So in first place, for the best sound quality, I have to say actually are the AirPods here, just because they are a lot closer to your eardrum.
[13:50]So you are getting a more a more of a base on here. The bass is not huge, but I would say it's generally pretty accurate.
[13:56]It sounds better for like acoustic music, acoustic guitars, a lot of instruments like that sound best in my opinion on these AirPods.
[14:03]There is also a superior sound stage, everything just sounds like you can hear some nice instrument separation.
[14:09]Sound stage pretty solid on here, and there is a slight emphasis on the highs, although not nearly as much as the other earbuds on this table.
[14:15]Overall, a really solid sounding pair of earbuds.
[14:19]I think a lot of people have heard AirPods and you understand the tuning of that. It's meant to be a jack of all trades to work with any genre of music out there.
[14:25]In second place, we have the Bose Ultra Open earbuds.
[14:29]It's really no surprise, especially being made by Bose and and having this price point that these do sound as good as they do.
[14:34]They have fairly large drivers in them, considering they're an open pair of earbuds.
[14:38]They definitely get very, very loud.
[14:41]I've rarely listened to these above 50% volume.
[14:45]So in louder environments, I I would definitely be more than happy with the volume that these Bose earbuds can put out.
[14:50]It's definitely a bit on the warmer side.
[14:55]Uh there's a little bit less detail and less isolation than closed earbuds, but overall, I am definitely very impressed by the audio quality of uh of this design here.
[15:00]Then in third place, the Shocks Open Fit.
[15:03]I think this is a good step back from the Bose.
[15:07]By good, I mean a large step back from the Bose earbuds.
[15:10]Uh, they're definitely very treble dominant.
[15:13]There is some upper base for sure, uh, so you're you're going to hear some base, but not like a deep rumbly base, as is expected for this design, of course.
[15:19]Um, it's a little bit harsh and definitely a bit abrasive sometimes with less separation and a little bit of a smearing going on.
[15:26]So, the highs are are definitely very very prominent, and it's kind of like what we've typically been seeing from a lot of earbuds or like uh smart glasses, for example.
[15:36]That they have the speaker a little bit farther away from your ear and a little bit tinier of a driver.
[15:39]Then in fourth place, the Sony Linkbuds.
[15:42]These are going to be good for music in a quieter environment. Otherwise, I would really only recommend them for like podcasts and audiobooks and stuff like that, maybe if you're walking your dog outside, uh just because they do tend to sound a little bit thin.
[15:53]They definitely lack substantial base.
[15:56]Something like a guitar or banjo frequencies, I would say, really cut through the most.
[15:59]And the overtones kind of lack on like really highs, so there's not a ton of clarity, there's not a ton of base.
[16:04]Definitely emphasis on mids and upper mids as well.
[16:07]Um, but again, like I said, if you're in a quieter environment, you're hearing enough detail, it's still pretty enjoyable, and if you're listening to audiobooks or podcasts, totally fine when you're outside as well.
[16:18]But definitely not nearly as loud as some of the other ones on this table. And then in last place, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live. Like I said, these kind of have a lot of uh variability when you move the earbuds, even slightly.
[16:28]If they're not placed perfectly in your ears, you really lose a lot.
[16:32]They sound somewhat natural, but they definitely lack a lot of base.
[16:36]They're definitely very quiet as well. And I would say these are probably honestly, they're definitely very thin sounding.
[16:41]It's probably the best way to put it, I would say. Sorry, hope they didn't sound like a a bad thing for those earbuds.
[16:45]They're all open earbuds and they're all going to have different strengths and weaknesses.
[16:49]But talking about the features, that's one of the big things in my opinion that really sets one pair of earbuds apart from the rest.
[16:54]These all obviously come from different manufacturers, and so in first place here, the best features are actually on the Sony Linkbuds.
[17:00]Sony packs these with a ton of different features.
[17:03]They have multipoint connectivity, so they can connect to your phone and your laptop at the same time and switch instantly.
[17:11]I really like that feature. They do have not my favorite controls. They're touch controls and they're not the most sensitive on like out there, but again, that's not really a big deal because you can customize that within the app as well.
[17:22]Uh you do have cool things from Sony like speak to chat, which allows you to just start talking.
[17:27]It'll pause your music while you talk to somebody, and then turn the music back on when you're done.
[17:32]You have DSEE Extreme, which is going to essentially upsample or upres your music to make it sound potentially a little bit clearer.
[17:39]It's kind of an AI thing that they have in there. There is mono mode on here and an autopause feature as well, so when you take them out of your ears, your music, your podcast is automatically going to pause.
[17:49]In second place, the AirPods 3. These have, again, a lot of the typical features we see with AirPods.
[17:54]They've got Siri built in, if you're watching on an iPhone or an iPad, you can connect two different pairs of AirPods to that same phone and watch on both of them.
[18:02]That's a really nice feature there. Um, of course, they do have pinch controls, which is an advantage if you're running or your hands are sweaty or it's raining or anything like that.
[18:11]I find pinch controls are a little bit more reliable in those environments, maybe if you're wearing gloves for example.
[18:15]Uh they do have find mine as well, so if you lose these, again, using your phone to find them should be quite easy.
[18:21]They have mono mode, and while they don't technically have multipoint connectivity, they do within the Apple ecosystem.
[18:28]So, that's kind of I think a lot of people are familiar with the features on the AirPods.
[18:31]In third place then, I have the Bose Ultra Open earbuds.
[18:35]These have physical buttons on them, which I absolutely love having.
[18:38]I think it makes a lot of sense on this design to put them behind so you can adjust the earbuds, however you want.
[18:43]The physical buttons, again, great if you're wearing gloves, if your hands are cold, if your hands are wet, any environment, the buttons are just very, very reliable.
[18:52]Uh you can also do full customization within the app, so really nice to be able to change a lot more about these earbuds and about the controls.
[18:58]They don't have an autopause feature. I understand it kind of it would be a little tricky to implement that on this design, but it would have been nice to have that.
[19:05]Uh, but one thing they do have that I really like is the spatial audio.
[19:09]And I understand like Apple has that as well, but I've typically not been a big fan of spatial audio until using these.
[19:14]I think they they just really do it best. They do a great job and I'm actually quite impressed uh with how it sounds, especially with the open feel, it feels like the music's actually in the room with you, which is what spatial is really intending to do anyway.
[19:26]In fourth place, the Galaxy Buds Live. Of course, Samsung still packs these with a ton of features. Um, you have things like multipoint, which sort of works mostly within the Samsung ecosystem.
[19:35]You've got mono mode, uh, you've got autoplay and autopause, and of course, Samsung always has some other features in Samsung labs that you're able to test, um that they bring out to earbuds like these.
[19:46]And then in last place, the Shocks Open Fit. Uh there's nothing really wrong with these as far as features go.
[19:53]They do have multipoint, um I'm not the biggest fan of the controls on these, like I feel like it's such a large space, it's hard to get that tap exactly right.
[19:59]They don't have autopause, and they do not have or they do have mono mode.
[20:06]They do have mono mode, you could listen to just one if you wanted to. Although I don't really think you'd ever need to do that because you can hear your surroundings anyway.
[20:10]But again, nothing particularly wrong with these, just not any exceptional features that that I thought were really better than the other ones on this list.
[20:16]Now, the next category, I want to talk about the water resistance rating of these.
[20:20]So in first place, IP54 water resistance and dust resistance as well, the Shocks Open Fit.
[20:25]Uh, so that's a little bit nicer if you have some dust, especially these are meant for working out, so having dust around, it is definitely a possibility.
[20:30]Having that rating, I think it's really nice, even though the other ones probably are not not dust resistance.
[20:37]The other ones just don't have any kind of rating for that.
[20:40]The next three are tied in second place, they all have IPX4, which again, means you can like get splashed from certain angles, but you don't want to drop it into a puddle or really submerge that.
[20:49]Those are the Bose, the Apple and the Sony Buds here.
[20:53]And then unfortunately, the Galaxy Buds Live only have IPX2, which means you can only splash it from like a very steep angle, like which is fine for sweating and stuff like that.
[21:03]But it's worth noting that they don't have as high of a water resistance rating.
[21:07]And then lastly, the category that I really care a lot about is going to be battery life.
[21:12]This is something that I don't want to have to recharge these all the time, so I kind of based it on the total battery life you have when you put it back in the case.
[21:20]Uh some of them have longer battery life for the earbuds and uh shorter for the case, but like I said, I just don't want to have to plug this in very often.
[21:26]I'm not listening to earbuds for eight hours straight, so as long as they work for like more than five hours, I didn't really dock them on that aspect there.
[21:35]You'll see what I mean in a second. So, in first place here, with six hours in the earbuds and 30 hours when you include the case, are the Apple AirPods 3.
[21:43]Then we have in second place, the Shocks, which have seven hours in the earbuds and 28 with the case.
[21:51]So, like I said, they're slightly longer than the earbuds, shorter than the case.
[21:54]I put them in second place because seven hours is already more than long enough for me, uh, but I don't want to have to recharge the case quite as often.
[21:59]In third place, with seven and a half hours in the earbuds and 19.5 with the case.
[22:04]So, pretty substantial drop off there, about nine hours less.
[22:08]We have the Bose earbuds. Then in fourth place, we have the Sony's with five and a half hours in the earbuds and seven and a half when you include the case.
[22:18]I honestly can't even be upset about that considering just how tiny this case is, definitely the smallest on the table here.
[22:21]And then in last place, four and a half hours in the earbuds, 17 in the case when you have active noise cancellation on, uh which I should mention these Galaxy Buds Live technically have ANC, although it doesn't really do anything, so maybe you could say the battery life is a little bit better, uh if you don't have ANC enabled, which you honestly might as well just not enable it.
[22:42]All right, so, I have the results here. Overall, I added up all the scores, how many times came in first, second, third, fourth, fifth place, and we're doing this like a golf score.
[22:50]So a lower score is better, meaning you came in first place more and fifth place less.
[22:54]But before I read the overall results, I have to say I'm really surprised by this.
[23:00]Now, I'm not just saying that to increase watch time, like I genuinely thought the Bose Open earbuds would come in first place here.
[23:05]Like yes, they're more expensive, but they have a lot of features that I personally really like about them.
[23:11]I really like the sound quality, I really like the fit and the comfort, um, but they definitely didn't pull through in some other categories that could matter to other people.
[23:19]Which is why I really like the format of this video.
[23:23]Because you can decide for yourself and kind of discount and get your own score and say, you know what, maybe I don't care about sound bleed, maybe I don't care about microphones.
[23:30]And based on this, I hope that you can make the decision on which is the best pair for you.
[23:33]But based on the metrics, including all of them in this video, the first place was actually the Apple AirPods 3.
[23:39]Like they were just really well balanced, they had good sound, good aesthetics, good sound bleed.
[23:45]They had good comfort, good durability, great battery life.
[23:50]Across the board, they did a lot right, and really the only drawbacks here, I would say is that they're not as open as the other earbuds on this list.
[23:57]You can't hear as much of your surroundings because it does kind of block your ear canal.
[24:01]Moving into second place, we have surprisingly here, I did not expect these to score this well.
[24:05]The Sony Linkbuds. These are very affordable. They have a great microphone.
[24:11]That was probably the most surprising for me was just how good the microphone was on these.
[24:14]Overall, pretty well balanced, a nice case design, a nice comfort, a nice fit.
[24:20]Across the board, they did a lot really well. The only things they didn't do quite as well, they are a little bit on the quiet side, and they don't have really any base.
[24:27]So, as far as audio quality goes, you definitely take a bit of a hit here.
[24:30]But if you're listening to podcasts and stuff like that, while say walking your dog, then these are fantastic.
[24:37]Then in third place, these are the ones that I thought would win because they really had a good balance for me personally, but their shortcomings were that they are expensive and the microphone was surprisingly poor.
[24:46]The Bose Open earbuds. Of course, very, very comfortable, fantastic fit in my opinion.
[24:52]These are the best ones on this list, and I I really like the sound quality as well, and the aesthetics for just being such a unique pair of earbuds.
[25:00]Then in fourth place, there's an advantage here, of course, the Shocks are very, very comfortable.
[25:06]They have really great fit, like really secure on your ears, and they're incredibly durable.
[25:09]We've got the better dust resistance rating on here. Overall, these are meant for sports, so it's really no surprise that that is going to be what they're catered to.
[25:17]These came in fourth place though, because they really just are so bulky and there's not a whole lot that is especially like uh just special about them to make them ahead of the other ones.
[25:26]Unless, of course, you're trying to just run. Like if that's all you care about, these are a great pair. And then of course, in last place, I kind of hated to see this.
[25:33]Because Samsung makes some great products, but this one for me just wasn't really like it wasn't a hit for me.
[25:38]And so, so the Galaxy Buds Live, even though they're cheap and they do have a nice case, which could make them a viable option for a lot of people out there.
[25:45]They didn't have the best fit for me, like they just kind of fall out of my ears.
[25:49]There was a lot of sound bleed, and the audio quality just wasn't really up to par with the other ones.
[25:55]But those are my picks for the best open earbuds.
[25:58]Let me know which ones are your favorite in the comments below, and I mean, if you haven't already seen them, I have full reviews of all of these.
[26:03]I'll link those down below as well. Thanks for watching. I'll see you in the next video.
