[0:00]Have you ever wondered what would have happened if Luffy had the ability to steal devil fruits? What kind of crazy abilities would he get in this scenario, and most importantly, how strong would he become? So, the story would begin as usual with Luffy growing up in Fusha village and eating the gum fruit. At 17, he would finally set out to see to find the One Piece and become the king of the pirates. However, in this timeline, in addition to his rubber abilities, Luffy would also have the power to steal the devil fruits of people he defeat, similar to Blackbeard. Anyway, after facing off against the Sea Beast, Luffy would soon get lost and find himself on Alvida's ship. From then on, the journey would go basically the same way. He would save Kobe and Zoro and eventually wind up meeting Nami at Orange Town. And this is where we would start seeing the first major changes. You see, as soon as Luffy defeats Buggy, a blinding light would leave the crew feeling dazed and confused. Right after that, Luffy would realize that his body can now split into several pieces that can float on their own. Calling Luffy a thief the moment he wakes up again, Buggy would demand his fruit back, which would make the crew realize that Luffy somehow stole Buggy's fruit. Luffy being Luffy would simply overlook how broken this power really is and would resume his journey without thinking too hard about it. At Syrup Village, Luffy's chop-chop fruit abilities would allow him to defeat Kuro much easier than before. You see, Luffy's main weakness pre-time skip were sharp slashes since his rubbery body couldn't protect him from them. However, this time, whenever Kuro would slash him, Luffy's body would simply split apart without taking any damage. So, one swift knockout punch, Luffy would win the battle against Kuro with practically no injuries. After recruiting Usopp and getting their new ship, the crew would then continue their journey and soon arrive at Baratie. This arc would play out similarly to the original story up until Don Krieg arrives. As soon as Krieg tries to slice Luffy with his weapons, Luffy's body would split into a million different pieces, which he would launch at Krieg like bullets, instantly knocking him out. Mihawk would at first be startled by Luffy's power, but he would decide not to end Luffy's life simply because he is curious about the kid's future and would be eager to see how strong he will become. Now, I'm going to skip the Arlong Park and Logtown arcs since those two arcs would go basically the same with nothing interesting happening. So, let's fast forward to the point when the crew arrives at Whisky Peak. As expected, during the night, the Baroque Works assassins would come out of the shadows to assassinate the crew. Now, Luffy and Zoro would obviously deal with these guys easily. But as soon as they defeat Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine, something interesting would happen. The same blinding light they saw in Orange Town would appear again, with Luffy instinctively stealing their Devil Fruits. Although Luffy would keep Mr. 5's bomb fruit to himself, he would decide to give the Kilo fruit to Sanji. Wait, how is this possible? Well, you see, in the original story, Blackbeard was able to give stolen Devil Fruits to his crewmates. So, it's safe to say Luffy would be able to do the same in this scenario. Giving Kilo fruit to Sanji would allow him to change his weight at will, which would make his kick much stronger. Anyway, after losing their fruits, Miss Valentine and Mr. 5 would basically retire, while the crew continues their journey. On Little Garden, Mr. 3 and Miss Goldenweek would intercept the crew on their own this time. With only two of them there, they would choose not to mess with the giants and would attempt to fight the Straw Hats directly. However, this would not go well for them. With his new powers, Sanji's kicks would instantly start dealing massive damage, while Luffy would make sure to destroy all of Mr. 3's wax using his bomb fruit. These overwhelming attacks would be far too much for the enemies to handle, and as the dust settles, both of them would lie defeated on the ground. Stealing Mr. 3's fruit, Luffy would decide to give this one to Usopp, since he could create many unique new weapons with it. Following the fight, the Straw Hats would soon realize that Nami fell sick, and they would make their way to Drum Island to find her a doctor. They would see Wapol on the way there, and with one strong punch, Luffy would send him flying away for taking a bite out of their ship. Now, one important thing to mention is that at this point, Luffy would have a much better grasp of his Devil Fruit stealing ability and would be able to activate it instantly after defeating his enemies. So, with Wapol defeated, Luffy would suddenly feel an uncontrollable urge to eat and would wind up taking a huge bite out of the Going Merry. This would make Usopp furious, so he and Sanji would work together to calm Luffy down. Now in his best behavior after getting beaten up by his crewmates, the rest of this arc would go mostly the same with Kureha healing Nami and the crew recruiting Chopper. Once they arrive on Alabasta, the crew would split up and Luffy would soon meet Ace and Smoker. Although it would be cool for Luffy to get Smoker's fruit at this point, that unfortunately wouldn't happen. As both Ace and Luffy would focus on running away instead of defeating the captain. Anyway, after spending some time with his brother, Ace would be absolutely impressed seeing that his brother now has three Devil Fruit abilities. Amused by Luffy's strength, Ace would leave feeling far more confident about him than in the original story. With Ace gone, Luffy would devote his full attention to stopping Crocodile and would charge into his casino head first to challenge him. However, having additional Devil Fruits would not make Luffy any smarter, so he would fall for Crocodile's trap all the same. After escaping the prison with his crew's help, Luffy would eventually catch up to Crocodile, but despite his power-ups, this battle would still be impossible for Luffy to win. You see, with his Chop-Chop Fruit, Luffy would dodge most of Crocodile's physical attacks, but without Haki, he wouldn't be able to do any real damage to the Warlord. So, in the end, Crocodile would overwhelm Luffy with a hurricane of sand and leave him buried in the dust. After recovering and learning about Crocodile's weakness to water, Luffy would come up with a plan. Same as before, Luffy would start coating his fists with blood to damage Crocodile, leaving blood marks on him with each punch. And you know what that means? Using the Bomb Fruit, Luffy would then make all that blood explode, basically turning Crocodile into a massive firework. With Crocodile's body battered and bruised, Luffy would finish the fight with a Gum-Gum Rocket straight to his jaw. Sent flying through the air, Crocodile would notice his abilities slipping out of his control as he freefalls. Feeling a sudden sense of control over the environment, Luffy would use his new power to finally let the rain fall over Alabasta, ending the civil war. Seeing the rain would make the people of Alabasta view Luffy as a national hero. This act would also inspire Robin to seek him out and eventually join the crew. The next day, Crocodile would be arrested along with the rest of Baroque Works, while the Straw Hats recover at the palace. With a feast and parade held in their honor, they would soon leave the country and continue their journey. Welcoming Robin aboard, the Straw Hats would enter the waters of Jaya, where things would go mostly the same with Luffy meeting Bellamy, Cricket, and Blackbeard for the first time. One major difference, however, is that after Luffy defeats Bellamy, he would steal his Spring-Spring Fruit and give it to Sanji. And just imagine how strong Sanji would be with this fruit. It's practically made for him. Anyway, after learning about the City of Gold, the crew would ride the Knock-Up Stream straight to Skypiea. After handling the government forces sent to arrest them, the Straw Hats would soon face Eneru's army, while Luffy gets eaten by a snake. And although the rest of the crew would secure their victories against Eneru's followers, they would be swiftly defeated once Eneru joins the fight himself. Finally escaping the snake's belly, Luffy would emerge and take on Eneru directly. Resisting all of Eneru's attacks thanks to his rubber body and Sand Logia, Luffy would grab the golden bell and ring it straight into Eneru's face. With Eneru's lightning powers now stolen, Luffy would decide to give the fruit to Nami, since she is clearly the most suited for it. After spending some time with the locals, the Straw Hats would return to the Blue Sea and soon reach Long Ring Long Land. This time, the Davy Back Fight against Foxy would be extremely easy, thanks to all the new abilities the crew has this time. With Foxy defeated, Luffy would decide to keep his fruit for himself. On their way off the island, the crew would encounter Aokiji. As in the original, they would fight him, but would be completely overwhelmed despite all of their power-ups. This is because without Haki, their Devil Fruit abilities would be absolutely useless against someone like Aokiji. Still, Aokiji would be surprised by their strength and would eventually let them go. Rushing back to the ship to unfreeze their crewmates, the Straw Hats would quickly leave the island. Now, one important thing to note is that during this journey, Luffy would not be able to control his urge to occasionally take a bite out of Going Merry due to Wapol's fruit, leaving the ship in desperate need of repairs. With enough gold, the crew would dock at Water 7 and head to Galley-La to find shipwrights. In this version of the story, Usopp would be able to hold his own against Franky's men thanks to his Wax Fruit, meaning the crew's money wouldn't be stolen. After receiving the bad news about the ship from Kaku, Luffy would decide that getting a new ship is the only option. This would lead to Luffy and Usopp fighting over that decision, agreeing to a duel at sundown. They would prepare to fight over the future of the Going Merry. Same as in the original, Usopp would put up an incredible fight using his Wax Fruit, visibly damaging Luffy. However, inevitably, Luffy would knock Usopp out with a massive punch to the face. The next morning, the Straw Hats would find out they are being held responsible for Iceberg's assassination attempt, as well as that Robin is missing. Fast forward a bit, Luffy, Zoro, and Nami would inevitably crash with CP9 inside Iceberg's mansion. Despite Luffy's new powers, he still wouldn't be strong enough to bring Lucci down thanks to his Rokushiki abilities. However, unexpectedly, Nami would come in clutch and fry the entire CP9 with a powerful lightning strike using Eneru's Devil Fruit. Still, due to Nami's inexperience with this fruit, she would instantly collapse from exhaustion, which would allow Blueno to use his Door-Door abilities to save his team, leaving Robin behind. As the Straw Hats recover, Lucci and the others would make sure to pay Franky a visit and abduct him, since he's the only one they really wanted in the first place. Usopp would get abducted as well, and they would soon be transported to Enies Lobby via the Sea Train. Meanwhile, back in Galley-La, Luffy, Zoro, and Nami would be asked to escort Iceberg to Franky's hideout. There, Franky's men would explain how Franky and Usopp were abducted and would beg the crew to save their leader. Meanwhile, Sanji would board the CP9 train, and this time around, he would defeat everyone inside much easier thanks to his new Devil Fruit abilities. He would beat down all the men in each cabin and free Franky and Usopp before, eventually, getting stopped by Lucci. However, before they can be captured again, Usopp would risk his life to grab the others using his Wax Fruit and would then jump off the train straight into the sea. With both Sanji and Usopp immediately starting to drown because of their fruits, Franky would hold them in his arms until the rest of the Straw Hat crew eventually catches up. Now with Franky, Sanji, and Usopp picked up and back on the train, there would be no reason to go to Enies Lobby at all, right? Well, yes, but one thing you're forgetting is that Rocketman, the train the Straw Hats boarded, has no brakes. As everyone immediately starts to panic, Luffy would be excited, wanting to teach Lucci a lesson for messing with his friends. Crashing into the side of the island, Luffy would get a head start and fight Blueno by himself, while the rest of the crew catches up and deals with the Marines. Using all of his Devil Fruit powers alongside Gear Second, Luffy would make easy work of his opponent. With Blueno knocked out cold, Luffy would steal his Door-Door ability and decide to give it to Chopper. But why him? You see, Blueno's ability is not very useful in direct combat and is more of a support power. So, with it, Chopper could do a lot of interesting things. For example, he could quickly remove injured allies from the battlefield, heal them, and then bring them back. Anyway, as the entire crew catches up to CP9, the agents would warn Luffy about waging war against the World Government, but Luffy wouldn't care and would immediately order Nami to rain hell on them, striking them all with a massive lightning attack. With the agents weakened, each member of the crew, along with Franky, would charge in and beat them to a pulp. Taking Lucci's Zoan Devil Fruit, Luffy would decide to give it to Zoro instead of keeping it. Zoro would benefit greatly from a powerful Zoan like this, as it would push his physical abilities to an entirely new level. While everyone celebrates their victory, they would notice Spandam laughing hysterically in the background. Pressing the button on his golden Den Den Mushi, he would initiate a Buster Call on the island before getting knocked unconscious by Robin for good. Running toward the docks, the Straw Hats would find the Going Merry already waiting for them. And Chopper would use his newly acquired Door ability to teleport everyone aboard safely. Boarding Merry, the crew would head back to Water 7 as Enies Lobby gets bombarded into dust. Near the shores of Water 7, the crew would pay their respects to the Going Merry. Luffy would cry the most, feeling guilty for biting chunks out of her all throughout their journey. However, Merry's spirit would appear one last time, forgiving Luffy and wishing the crew good luck in the future. A few days later, Luffy would meet his grandfather again, who would be both curious and disgusted by the fact that his grandson now has even more bizarre powers. After running from Garp for a while, Luffy and the crew would finally board their new ship, the Thousand Sunny, and together with Franky, they would set sail once again. Upon entering the Florian Triangle, the crew would meet Brook and become trapped in the thick fog. They would eventually wind up on Thriller Bark, where they would defeat Moria and his forces with ease. Since Moria doesn't even know Haki, Luffy would remain completely unharmed thanks to his Sand Logia. So, who would get Moria's Shadow Fruit? Well, honestly, the most fitting choice in my opinion would be someone like Brook. He's already a skeleton, so this kind of horror-inspired power would suit his character perfectly. Anyway, with Brook now on board, the Straw Hats would head towards Sabaody. On the island, other pirates and members of the Worst Generation would avoid the Straw Hats at all costs, as rumors spread about Luffy's ability to steal Devil Fruits. From there, events would play out mostly the same with Luffy punching Saint Charlos and the crew being chased by the Pacifistas. Using all of their new abilities, the Straw Hats would hold their own surprisingly well. With Nami blasting Pacifistas apart using lightning and Zoro cutting them down with terrifying speed. However, despite everything, Kuma would eventually get close enough to teleport the Straw Hats away one by one. With every crewmate gone, Luffy would be the last to fall, but before that, he would put up an incredible fight against Kuma, nearly bringing him down. Inevitably though, Luffy would end up imprisoned on Amazon Lily. The rest of this arc would play out mostly the same with Luffy befriending Boa and heading toward Impel Down to save his brother. So, can he actually succeed this time? Well, it's definitely not going to be easy. As expected, Luffy would sneak into the prison the same way he did in the main timeline and would descend through the floors. Along the way, he would meet Blackbeard just like in the original. After a brief exchange, Blackbeard would mention that he has heard rumors about Luffy's ability to steal Devil Fruits and would wonder if they are true. He would then say that he is interested in seeing what the boy does with this power before leaving. Luffy would then quickly continue his descent through the prison until he comes face-to-face with his toughest enemy so far, Magellan. Now, despite Luffy having four different Devil Fruits at this point, it still wouldn't be enough to deal with this guy and his insane poison abilities. However, a good thing is that Luffy doesn't actually need to defeat him. You see, Luffy's only goal here is to rescue Ace. So, using his Sand Logia, Luffy would create a small hole by decaying the surrounding material, which would allow him to quickly escape and continue his journey toward Ace. It's also important to mention that Magellan doesn't know Haki, so it would be extremely difficult for him to stop Luffy from running away. Decaying and melting the walls of the prison, Luffy would reach Ace's cell much earlier than before. He would then use his sand abilities once again to decay the chains Ace and Jinbe are restrained with, freeing them both. Ace wouldn't be able to believe that Luffy actually came to save him and would ask him about his new powers. However, there would be no time to talk as Magellan would soon catch up to them, furious at Luffy for running away. However, this time, Luffy wouldn't be alone, and with Ace's and Jinbe's help, the three of them would engage Magellan together. Now, if you think there is no way they could defeat Magellan, you have to remember that Ace knew all three types of Haki at this point in the story. This means he would be able to actually hurt Magellan with his attacks, and with Luffy and Jinbe fighting by his side, the prison warden would stand absolutely no chance. So, after this, there would basically be no one left inside the prison who could stop these three, and they would escape without much trouble. After parting ways with Ace and Jinbe, Luffy would realize that he and his crew are still not strong enough to enter the New World, and he would decide to seek out Rayleigh in order to train his Haki. From here, the time skip would take place the same way as in the original story with each crewmate training separately and becoming much stronger. And yeah, in case you're wondering, since Luffy was able to save Ace this time around, it also means that Whitebeard would stay alive as well, with his crew remaining active. So, after two full years, the Straw Hats would finally reunite once again, many times stronger than before. During the time skip, Franky built himself a more robust body after discovering Wapol metal, while Nami developed the ability to sense people around her, similar to Eneru. Usopp mastered his Wax Fruit and created a whole arsenal of new weapons that he can now use in battle. But one of the crewmates who would improve the most would be Sanji, who would master both the Kilo and Spring Fruits. Combined with Haki, this would make Sanji's kicks almost unstoppable. Zoro would mostly focus on infusing Haki into his blades, while also getting faster by making use of his Leopard Fruit. Anyway, determined to continue their journey, the crew would find the Thousand Sunny docked and ready for them thanks to Kuma guarding it. Boarding the ship, they would quickly make their way to Fish-Man Island, where things would go much smoother than in the original story. With their insane new abilities, the crew would make easy work of Hody Jones and his henchmen. First, Luffy would use his Chop-Chop Fruit to split himself into many small pieces and launch them straight at Hody. Then as soon as those parts hit him, Luffy would activate his Bomb Fruit and detonate that, forcing Hody to endure hundreds of small explosions at once. Even when Vander Decken decides to drop Noah onto Fish-Man Island, Luffy would once again use his Bomb Fruit to destroy it and save the island. After recovering for a while and enjoying a feast at the Royal Palace, Luffy would declare war on Big Mom in order to protect Fish-Man Island. Saying their goodbyes, the Straw Hats would soon resume their journey. During their way back onto the surface, Franky would further upgrade the ship in many ways using Wapol metal, while Usopp's Wax Fruit would come in handy to reinforce and prepare the ship for any challenges it would face in the New World. At this point, the ship would practically resemble one massive unbreakable fortress. Finally resurfacing near the shores of Punk Hazard, the entire arc would play out in almost exactly the same way. The Straw Hats would land on the island, realize something strange is going on, defeat Caesar, save the children, and yes, Luffy would also steal Caesar's Devil Fruit. However, since Luffy already has one Logia, he would likely give this fruit to someone else, like Franky or Chopper, in order to make them stronger. After forming an alliance with Law, the Straw Hats would head straight for Dressrosa to challenge Doflamingo next. One important difference here is that since Ace survived this time, there wouldn't be a Colosseum tournament for his Devil Fruit. This also means that other strong pirates, as well as Fujitora, would not be present on the island at all, since it would just be a regular, normal day on Dressrosa. Anyway, after learning about the island's history, Luffy's overpowered crew would begin taking out the Donquixote Pirates one by one, until Luffy and Law finally reach the palace to challenge Doflamingo directly. This time, Bellamy wouldn't be there to distract Luffy, since he retired after losing his Devil Fruit. So, both Supernovas would quickly start overwhelming Doflamingo. Using his sand abilities, Luffy would be able to decay Doflamingo's strings before they even reach him, making the fight much easier. Now far more skilled at using the Bomb Fruit as well, Luffy would turn every grain of sand he produces into tiny explosives that would completely destroy Doflamingo's body. Activating Gear Fourth, Luffy would then use Snakeman to punch straight through Doflamingo's stomach, finally putting the villain down. So, who would get Doflamingo's overpowered Devil Fruit after Luffy steals it? Well, I think this fruit would be best suited for none other than Robin. You see, Robin is undoubtedly one of the smartest Straw Hats, so gaining the ability to control others with strings would make her absolutely terrifying. She could even combine this power with her original Devil Fruit, creating massive hands capable of controlling multiple enemies at the same time. After Dressrosa, the Zou arc would play out the same way, with Luffy learning about Sanji's wedding and vowing to bring him back. Recruiting Pedro, Carrot, and Pekoms, Luffy's group would slowly infiltrate Whole Cake Island. Luffy would then easily defeat Cracker with his new powers, obviously, and they would soon carry out their plan at the wedding. However, this time, Brook would come prepared. Using some of the shadows he collected during the time skip with his Shadow Fruit, he would infuse several of Big Mom's Homies, turning them against her. This would create massive chaos on the battlefield and keep many members of Big Mom's crew occupied. At the same time, Brook would destroy the picture of Mother Carmel, making him the true MVP of this arc. After saving Sanji and his family, the Straw Hats would make their escape back to the ship, while Big Mom's entire crew chases them. And soon enough, Luffy and Katakuri would finally engage in their epic battle. With all of Luffy's new abilities, this fight wouldn't last as long as it did in the main timeline. Although it would still be a challenging battle, and Luffy would be forced to develop Future Sight in order to see Katakuri's attacks. However, it is after Luffy's victory that something interesting would happen. Considering Katakuri to be an honorable and fair opponent, Luffy would decide not to take his Devil Fruit and would simply leave instead, telling Katakuri that he had a fun time fighting him. When Luffy gets back to the ship, he would find Brook using his minions to hold Big Mom back, while Nami rains thunder down on the Emperor. Although this would slow Big Mom down a bit, it obviously wouldn't be enough to stop a monster like her. Still, with all of the new powers the Straw Hats possessed this time around, at least Pedro wouldn't have to sacrifice himself. Eventually, the Straw Hats would also receive help from Jinbe and his Fish-Man Pirates, allowing them to successfully escape the island. Meanwhile, at Mary Geoise, the Reverie would take place, where a discussion would be held regarding Luffy being able to basically take anyone's Devil Fruit. The rumors surrounding Luffy would become more and more absurd, such as that he can steal a person's Devil Fruit just by looking at them. This would further cement Luffy's status as one of the most feared pirates on the Grand Line, and Imu would want to stop him as soon as possible. Anyway, after escaping Big Mom's territory, the Straw Hats would find themselves nearing the shores of Wano. Up until the point where Luffy regroups with the Wano infiltration team, nothing would really change. In fact, even with his massive arsenal of Devil Fruit abilities, Luffy would still lose his first fight against Kaido, since without advanced Haki, there would be no real chance for him to win. He would then be captured and sent to Udon Prison. While in prison, Luffy would learn about Ryuo before eventually escaping and regrouping with his crew. Now, this is where we get to the good part because the raid on Onigashima would be so much easier than before. Just think about it, pretty much every Straw Hat would now have a powerful Devil Fruit they did not have in the original story, making all of their battles far easier. With his Zoan Fruit, Zoro would be much faster than before and would easily overpower King. Sanji on the other hand would now have two incredibly strong Devil Fruits, which would make his fight against Queen a piece of cake. Fighters like Usopp, Robin, and Franky would also win their battles much quicker, meaning they would all be available to help Luffy against Kaido. Despite all of Luffy's new abilities in the scenario, Kaido would still have the upper hand at first due to his insane endurance and overwhelming Haki. However, as the other Straw Hats come to Luffy's aid, the situation would quickly begin to shift. Using his Door-Door Fruit, Chopper would take Luffy away from the battlefield to heal him, while Sanji and Zoro would take his place. As the battle continues and more Straw Hats reach the rooftop, such as Franky, Robin, and Brook, Kaido would realize that this is going to be a much tougher fight than he originally expected. Still, relying on his immense power, Kaido would begin overwhelming the crew once again until Luffy, now fully healed by Chopper, finally returns to the battlefield. Severely outnumbered, Kaido would attempt everything he can to secure a victory, but nothing would work. Eventually, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji would unleash one final combo attack, finally bringing the King of the Beasts down. Pummeled into the ground and knocked unconscious, Luffy would then steal Kaido's Devil Fruit and finally declare an end to Wano's suffering. Click on this video next where I explain what would have happened if everyone Luffy asked actually joined the crew.
