[0:00]In this video, I will show you how to crochet a Gabriel keychain. What you will need is a black acrylic yarn, a white acrylic yarn, and a yellow acrylic yarn. You won't be needing this yellow cotton blend yarn. I just forgot to take it out of the video. scissors, sky blue felt, stuffing, 2.5 mm hook, a stitch marker, yarn needles, a key ring, and a hot glue gun. You'll start with round one by creating a magic ring and crocheting eight single crochets.
[1:19]For round two, you'll crochet three single crochet into the first stitch and one single crochet into the next stitch. You'll do this four times, ending with sixteen stitches in total.
[2:37]For round three, you'll start with a single crochet, then three single crochet into one stitch. You'll then crochet three single crochet like normal, and three single crochet into one stitch. You'll do this three times and finally end with two single crochet. You should have twenty four stitches in total.
[4:09]For rounds four to ten, you will just single crochet all around. The total will still be twenty four stitches.
[4:26]Your piece should look something like this.
[4:39]You'll then begin round eleven with a single crochet, then crochet two decreases, two single crochet three times. You'll finish with two decreases and one single crochet. In total you should have sixteen stitches.
[7:14]Here I begin to stuff the head.
[7:25]Now we will begin with round thirteen. In the front loop only, increase all around you'll have twenty stitches in total.
[9:07]For round fourteen, you'll just single crochet all around.
[9:29]In round fifteen, we will begin to color change between white and gold. You'll start by crocheting five single crochet in white, you'll color change to gold and do one single crochet, one bobble stitch and one single crochet. You'll color change to white and do five single crochet, but before finishing that last single crochet, you'll color change to black for the next rounds.
[12:18]For round sixteen to seventeen, you'll single crochet all around with the color black.
[12:42]In the last stitch, you will color change to white.
[13:20]For round eighteen, you will do seven single crochet, change to gold and do one single crochet, one bobble stitch and one single crochet, changing back to white you will do two single crochet, and change back to gold to do one single crochet, one bobble stitch and one single crochet.
[15:27]You can cut off the gold yarn and weave it in as we will no longer need it.
[16:09]For round nineteen, you will do three single crochet and one decrease four times. In total you will have sixteen stitches.
[17:12]For round twenty, you will do two single crochet and one decrease four times. In total you will have twelve stitches.
[18:07]Here we'll start to stuff the body firmly.
[18:30]For round twenty one, you will decrease all around. In total you will have six stitches.
[19:20]Leaving a long tail, you will start to sew the body shut, but before hiding the tail, I like to hide a few imperfections with it.
[23:13]to make the cross you'll need to learn how to double chain technique. For the mid piece, you will double chain five.
[24:06]Be sure to leave a long tail for sewing.
[24:57]For the side pieces, you will double chain two.
[25:05]You'll make two pieces. Be sure to leave a long tail for sewing. You'll then want to slip stitch into the first stitch.
[25:10]with the yarn needle, I like to hide the tail in the back and tie it with the starting tail three times.
[25:44]Now, taking one of the small side pieces, you'll thread the starting tail through the top and pick up the ending tail, you'll sew through the third stitch of the middle piece, and into the second stitch. Then sew into the first stitch of the side piece, and into the third stitch of the middle piece. You'll then continue to sew normally.
[56:19]And your little Gabriel keychain is done. I hope this tutorial was easy to follow, and if you have any questions just comment down below. Thank you so much for watching, and be sure to like and subscribe for more crochet tutorials.
