paintball project day 2

[0:01]Hey everybody, this is Day 2, the Paintball Project. Everything is going well. We had our server been overwhelmed by the demand, so we are upgrading it right now. Ben Chang is here. Let's say hi to Ben. Hey Ben. Hey Wafa. How are you doing? Oh, I'm okay. We're glad to have you here tonight. Oh, thanks. It's a pleasure to be here. Great, thanks. We'll get in touch with you in a second. Okay. You could see the floor is very slippery. I I cannot even I can barely barely walk. Let me show you something here, what's going on. So a lot of people were shooting and you could see here is the wall. You could you could see so far. Second day, it's about 1500 shots. And you could see the floor is totally oily. You could you could see I cannot I I barely could walk. And you can see how my feet slip. And somebody brought a box of cheese to feed me, that was nice. Then let's walk back here. Let's see show you the rest of the space. Uh, you've seen it yesterday. And I'm today I'm, I have to clean because there's absolutely so much oil from the paintball everywhere. And I cannot even walk. People's favorite target, beside me, of course, is the is the table lamp and you could see right here, the paintball had so uh, made so many holes in in this poor table lamp. And it's just it's not a good, it's not in a good shape. But trust me, he's in a better shape than than than me right now. Then we got to we said hi to Ben Chang. Here is, and he is working on on the server. And I don't know Ben if you wanted to tell people what we're doing right now because of the server overwhelmed. Oh, yeah, well, the trouble now is that, well, the the whole gun section works flawlessly. The camera part is a little bit tricky. Uh, and right now the image updating is kind of slow. So what this means is that people are shooting blind. Yeah, exactly. But they're shooting good. They're getting. They're shooting well. But uh, having a hard time seeing what what they're doing. So what we're trying to do is make this uh make this work even better. So people can shoot even more accurately and see what they're doing. So right now the webcam feed is uh uh is down and I'm gonna I'm gonna try shifting it around a little bit. Excellent, excellent. Well, thank you, Ben. Uh, so again here, let me show you the space a little bit. And the gun is uh is uh, is down for a second. The side is down, so we we we could upgrade it. And So I am going to go and start cleaning the place and use this. Use this time to clean a little bit. Somebody came here. Let me, okay, so this is me cleaning. Okay, I I have to run. And uh, he got it going one more time and uh, probably I'm I'm behind the shield and you may see somebody probably will shoot at me while I'm I'm going to see Ben. Good, how are you? So what's going on now? Okay, so we've uh we've changed the script to do the webcam screen streaming. Um basically what it was trying to do is just uh upload the images too fast. So we've we've dropped down the refresh rate, so it's now only about one frame per second, but that seems to be enough. So now people out there on the web can actually get a good uh good live stream.
