[0:00]All righty. So, ladies and gentlemen, today I have the Queen of Vedic Astrology, Joy Patri, whom I'm gonna hang out with literally in less than two weeks in Sedona.
[0:11]And uh she's got the most wonderful subject that I think everybody wants to know is how to find the character, the career of your spouse, their family, who they are.
[0:24]You know, and she's gonna show you something very, very interesting about this concept. So, Joanie, welcome.
[0:32]Thank you. Thank you. So I I made some notes because, you know, we kind of want step-by-step how to do things.
[0:40]And some of this is, you know, so complicated that I I made just really brief, I did this right before we were speaking right now.
[0:50]So it's probably not perfect, but I'll show you in my word document once you share. Okay.
[0:54]Okay. All the rules I came up with, and then I want to show you the two charts that exemplify what I'm talking about such as um, Princess Diana.
[1:04]There's something very specific that I think you'll you'll get out of this uh showing her chart and um Brad Pitt.
[1:12]I wanted to show something in his chart but just briefly because it's all about the dashas in his chart.
[1:19]And then my son Austin, I wanted to show his chart in terms of um, of meeting people, relationships and when uh I predict he'll get married.
[1:30]Okay. All right. So let me share the screen here.
[1:36]And um Oh, is that your dog in the back? Yes, I just got that's a brand new dog and I told Daniel to watch the dog while I was doing this.
[1:45]So you can see how well he's, you know, following, yeah.
[1:49]You can see how he's following the rules.
[1:53]Okay, can you see my screen now? Yes. Okay. Here are the rules I just created.
[2:00]How to predict marriage and relationships. So first thing I want to say is people are always like, when am I going to get married?
[2:07]You you know, you're looking at the chart, but here, it's a process.
[2:11]Many times, you know, you can predict when when you meet someone, but it may not be the time you actually marry, and sometimes it's more grandiose when you meet someone because that's the joyful time and the happiness.
[2:27]And then there's engagement, then there's marriage, and many times you can also see when children will arrive after that.
[2:34]It's almost like a whole process, you got to realize in astrology. So these are all of the things that I look for when I'm looking for marriage.
[2:43]The first thing is the rules, of course, you got to look at Jupiter. Jupiter is the planet that gives opportunities.
[2:51]And when it's aspecting the seventh house or the seventh house ruler, first I'm just going to go through the rules, uh, and then I'll I'll prove my point through the chart.
[3:02]Then, you know, in Vedic astrology, we say that whenever you have both Jupiter and Saturn aspecting the seventh house, it's a or any of the houses, right?
[3:12]It's a point of manifestation. Saturn gives the discipline and the focus and Jupiter gives the opportunities.
[3:19]So in Vedic astrology, we like to see when both Jupiter and Saturn are aspecting a house to produce results, and of course, we're looking at the seventh house for marriage and relationships.
[3:31]But don't forget the fifth house is the house of dating and love and opening the heart.
[3:38]And sometimes you've got to have these aspects to the fifth and then the seventh, but the best case scenario is what we're going to find is the 11th house or the first house.
[3:49]Because the 11th house, um, aspects the the fifth house and we're talking about Jupiter, Jupiter or Saturn if they're in the 11th, but if you have Jupiter in the 11th, or in the first, it's aspecting by trine or opposition, the fifth house as well.
[4:11]So those are the houses that really create a relationship when you have transiting Jupiter. Okay.
[4:15]So another thing is Venus aspecting the seventh house or the seventh house ruler.
[4:20]And here's my rule of thumb, if you have three of these things going on, you can call it a prediction.
[4:27]One or two, it may not happen, but when you have three of these variables, and I'm giving you more than three things, but when you have three, then you're going to have a hit and the event can happen.
[4:39]And of course, this will apply to all the houses, but we're looking at marriage in this case.
[4:46]So, uh, for a man's chart, you know, Venus is very important, but here in the West, Mars and Jupiter are very important.
[4:55]Mars, it remembers, is the planet of passion, and Venus is love.
[5:00]So, not only does Venus just relate to men and the marriage partner, the wife, Venus can can represent relationships in a woman's chart as well.
[5:14]And Mars for a woman, I mean, look at their symbols when you use their symbols and I love to use the symbols, uh, the glyphs, that is, in astrology, because I believe that the symbols activate your subconscious.
[5:27]I tell all my students, you have to use the glyphs because they do, they do trigger, uh, the subconscious and the intuitive powers.
[5:37]But if you look at the symbol for Venus, it's it's a woman, the symbol for Mars, it's a man, right?
[5:43]Yeah. So Mars is passion, Venus is love. So, the other thing I look at, besides the seventh house and the seventh house ruler, is the Darakaka, and this is part of Jyotish astrology, where it's the planet that is the lowest in sidereal degree.
[6:03]It will represent relationships. So when you have these planets aspecting the Darakaka, Venus or Jupiter, you can, that's a hit, that will equate to one of the three hits that you need at least three to make a solid prediction.
[6:18]So the Darakaka, of course, does not include the outer planets or Rahu or Ketu in my book.
[6:24]I know some people do use Rahu and Ketu in the lineup of the karakas, but that's just the way I I do it.
[6:33]So Rahu and Ketu, these are really important uh transits because wherever Rahu and Ketu are, are going to be where the eclipses are occurring, and eclipses are the point of the biggest change that you're going through for that year and a half that you have either Rahu or Ketu in a sign.
[6:55]So, always look at where the eclipses are falling.
[6:59]And, um, as I said before, Jupiter in the 11th is best because it aspect, it opposes the fifth, which is love and romance, and Jupiter in the first aspects the fifth house.
[7:10]Okay, here is a biggie, when Jupiter conjuncts or opposes the moon, you are really prone to meeting someone and falling in love.
[7:20]Don't ever forget to look at Chandra Lagna because we know the transits are so important from the moon.
[7:27]But first, you know, that's that's probably one of the biggest ones, so Jupiter conjunct or oppose the moon.
[7:34]And, um, even when you look at Chandra Lagna, when you look at the sign that is opposed the moon, the natal moon, that sign is on the seventh house, and that planet if it's being aspected by Jupiter or Rahu or Ketu, that's another big plus, and that can represent relationships.
[7:54]So here's another thing, the Dasas, if you find a chart, and that's where we're going to look at Brad Pitt's chart for just a moment, but if you find a chart where there's many planets in opposition, they're going to have many relationships.
[8:14]Because when they go into the Dasa, the Mahadasha and the Bhukti of two planets that are opposed each other, they will either bring in a relationship or break it up.
[8:23]So if they go into a Mahadasha and the planet that the Bhukti ruling planet that is opposed the Mahadasha ruling planet, if it is a benef, a natural benefic, it will bring a relationship into their life.
[8:39]If it is a natural malefic, it can break up a relationship, and I many times go through the dasas in a chart and I go, did you meet someone at this time?
[8:50]And they go, oh yes. And then, you know, when it when they go into the Dasa of like, you know, Rahu Mars and Mars is opposite Rahu, that's when they break up, and you can really pinpoint those years.
[9:03]So do you do you get that that, okay. Oh yeah.
[9:07]All right, then, Navamsha. I mean that that is, you know, there's a reason why when we pull up the Navamsha chart, it has it has in parentheses, spouse, and that's because it does relate to the spouse in a chart.
[9:23]So it tells, um, the whole Navamsha really can give an understanding of your relationships, because, you know, we have to consider relationships are a major focal point of our life.
[9:37]It really does bring us, you know, happiness, family, relations, it's very important, and the Navamsha will be a key indicator as to, you know, what is going to be, uh, our life going to be like with with a partner.
[9:54]So, um, the Dasha and and I believe the divisional charts are so useful, particularly by looking at the Dasas.
[10:04]So is the Dasha ruler, um, Mahadasha or Bhukti ruler in the seventh house or the first house of Navamsha, that can bring in a relationship as well.
[10:16]Okay, now, Venus retrograde, I bet you didn't know the importance of this.
[10:22]It marks the spot for the year to come. The stationing degrees are the indicators, so if you have, you know, Venus just went direct, and I believe, you know, the degrees that Venus was when it turned retrograde, or when it turned direct.
[10:41]Those degrees are extremely powerful, mark them in any chart you look at, because they will bring a relationship, definitely, and we will prove this point with Princess Diana.
[10:52]Now, the KP system, really and truly, the KP system is looking at the trinal aspects because when you look at planets that are in the Nakshatras, that are ruled by the same planet, they will always be in a trine to each other.
[11:11]So, this brings the concept of the trine forth with planets.
[11:17]Now, if you've ever noticed, you if you have a planet that's exactly trine in your birth chart, notice it's always conjunct in the Navamsha.
[11:25]So this is important to to understand the concept between the trinal aspect and the Nakshatra.
[11:36]So, you know, if you have a planet in, um, Ashwini and you also have a planet in Magha, they're both ruled by Ketu, and they're probably going to be trine each other.
[11:45]Okay.
[11:51]So this is this, you will find this is so useful in relationships, and so it really does, and that's the KP system that you're looking at this, but just in case, uh, people don't know what I mean by the Krishna Murthy system, um, we're just looking at the trines.
[12:07]Not only of Jupiter, and I also use the trinal aspect of Rahu and Ketu as a full aspect.
[12:13]Some people do, some people don't, I do.
[12:16]But all the trines are relative and important in this respect.
[12:22]So, so that's, uh, so it will activate events.
[12:27]So to see the marriage partner, um, now here's another concept aside from many people always ask me, well, will you describe who I'm going to marry?
[12:35]What are they like, you know?
[12:40]Here's what you do, and I'm sure you've you've done this many times. Oh, yes. All the time, yeah. Make the seventh house the first house and read it as though it were their partner's chart, and even include the transits.
[12:51]It it tells you everything.
[12:54]For example, the eighth house of your chart will describe the wealth and money of your partner.
[12:59]Mhm. Why? Because it's a second from the seventh.
[13:03]And you know, a lot of women are like, oh, well, am I going to marry somebody wealthy?
[13:08]Well, if I see Jupiter Rahu, maybe in the eighth house, uh, that would mean the second house from the from the seventh, and they can be very wealthy, okay?
[13:20]So, then I'm looking at how the seventh house, uh, will, um, it's all about your relationship.
[13:30]Now, here's another thing that I'm asked quite frequently, does, you know, I'm on my second marriage, how can my seventh house relate to my second marriage partner?
[13:42]Because they're so different than my first marriage partner.
[13:45]So I always say, the the seventh house is always going to be how you relate.
[13:51]Yeah. You know, how we relate and the kind of people that we're attracted or drawn to.
[13:58]But I really think, and and this this has been my experience, that the second marriage partner would be the ninth, the third marriage partner would be the 11th.
[14:10]So what you do is you you just start counting three houses from the last one to reference the new marriage partner if it's a second, third, fourth, fifth.
[14:21]I mean, Elizabeth Taylor, you'd be going all the way around the chart.
[14:25]She was married seven times. Right. Right.
[14:28]So, that's how I see it. Now, some I I've noticed some people have researched to say, the second house is the second marriage partner because it's the eighth from the seventh.
[14:38]But I didn't get good results from that. I really do think you continually take three houses to represent that different marriage.
[14:46]Why is that? Because, won't the ninth house represent the sibling of the
[14:51]Yeah, I don't know, it just works the three, because, you know, actually, Kapila, this is a concept from Western astrology, and I tested it out, because I I thought just like you, it's the third house.
[15:05]How are they brothers or sisters to? I don't know, but the the three just really works.
[15:11]Okay. Um, try it out, you know, don't take my word for it, try it out and see if this if, you know, when you start to describe the second or third marriage partner, if it doesn't work.
[15:22]It works, okay, that's my experience.
[15:25]So I thought that was an interesting concept you might enjoy, um, and let's see, then the Navamsha will tell, of course, of the second part of life.
[15:37]So, um, so it really does depict our relationships and happiness through marriage in the second part of life.
[15:45]Another thing that that, of course, I always notice, if Mars is aspecting the seventh house, either in the Navamsha or in the birth chart, because it's called Kujadosha, and it does represent difficult relationships.
[16:00]And that doesn't mean that somebody is not to have happiness in relationships.
[16:06]In my opinion, it's just that people have certain karmas that they have to go through, and through healing it, which is what we're all here to do, we can have healthy, good relationships.
[16:20]But of course, looking at the chart is how we get the the meaning of what we're here to grow and learn through karmically, especially through relationships.
[16:30]It's like old married couple that Mars aspecting the seventh house.
[16:34]Yeah. They'll fight, they'll bicker, but they can't live without each other.
[16:39]Yeah, and you know what Saturn also can represent people that go for longevity in a relationship.
[16:47]Not always, it it just really depends, but Saturn can give longevity to relationships, and also when I look at the synastry compatibility of a chart.
[16:58]You always need Saturn aspects to make a relationship last, okay?
[17:04]Okay. So transits, um, oh, and here's another thing that I thought I might throw in.
[17:11]It's very interesting if you have some major configurations throughout the year, you're going to know that all of your clients with certain ascendants will have difficulty in their relationships.
[17:53]It's just, you know, every single client I had, had this, and I could always, you know, say, have you been having trouble in your relationship?
[18:01]And they go, oh my God, you wouldn't believe. So, you know, this works. And another time that I used to use to rectify was around April of 2002, Saturn, Rahu and Mars were in Taurus, and a couple of times I remember I was trying to figure out if they were Sagittarius or Scorpio ascendant.
[18:20]And I said, did you have great difficulty in your marriage around, you know, the spring of 2002, and they said yes.
[18:29]So I said, okay, then you're Sagittarius Scorpio because that means that, um, that these planets, uh, that were in Taurus, which was Saturn, Rahu, Mars in Taurus, that if they had Scorpio ascendant, that all of that would have been in their seventh house.
[18:49]So I would know that their ascendant would be Scorpio and not Sagittarius.
[18:52]So these are just interesting little side notes, I thought you might add.
[18:57]Okay, now another one, always, always, if you're in question whether or not, um, the results Jupiter is going to bring when it's transiting the seventh house, or if it's aspecting the seventh house, go back 12 years ago, the last time it was there.
[19:15]Did it produce a relationship?
[19:19]If it did, you can really, you know, make this prediction because the last time it was there, it will, you know, it will give similar results, right?
[19:29]Yeah.
[19:33]Okay, now, um, so Mars Dasha can bring passion, and I find many times, and it also goes for women as well, but particularly for men, when they go into Venus Rahu or Rahu Venus's Dasha, that love will come into their life, during this Dasha, okay? Yes. That's the one Rahu Saturn always automatically brings in marriage.
[19:40]Yep. And not only that, notice his Saturn is ruler of the seventh and the seventh, right?
[19:44]Okay.
[19:51]I've heard that, yes. Regardless of where they're placed, that's just a key, okay?
[19:58]Um, but for women, Jupiter can be the karaka for marriage as well, and um, I wonder sometimes, this is my this is my thought process, it it could be wrong, but I think because of arranged marriages in India that they look at Jupiter possibly for the marriage partner because when they're arranging a marriage, they want someone that can protect and take care of the woman or the daughter.
[20:24]Yeah. So maybe that's why Jupiter is a karaka for women, but I do find men that Mars works as well, so be aware of that.
[20:34]Okay. So Venus is the general karaka for relationships all around, and Jupiter's Dasha for women will bring children.
[20:46]I mean, the minute sometimes a woman goes into Jupiter's Mahadasha, if she's around childbearing years, she'll get pregnant, she'll start to have a family.
[20:52]So, so the other thing is we won't get into this today, but I just wanted you to see this, compatibility, uh, of charts, is when you overlay both charts with each other, you know, put one person's planets in the other person's chart, and vice versa.
[21:09]You can see how people relate if they're going to work work out well together, and like I said, in this instance, we need Saturn's transits because, I mean, Saturn connections, not transits.
[21:22]You know, in other words, one person's Saturn connects to the other person's planets for a relationship to last.
[21:29]And of course, Ketu can be past life connections, Rahu is some kind of destiny or karma that you have together to share.
[21:38]So that's all in part of synastry. So with all those rules thrown at you, let's look at a couple of charts to see if they back up my theories.
[21:45]Yeah. So let me pull up Russia's lied here, and Brad Pitt.
[21:52]Can you see the chart well? Yes.
[21:56]I know, you don't like the South Indian style, but I will explain clearly, and you'll see why I I want at least for this chart, because it was around 1997, Brad Pitt all the way through to 2003, that he went through one relationship after another.
[22:20]It was first, you know, Gwyneth Paltrow, then he went to, um, what was her name, uh, Jennifer Aniston?
[22:28]Yep. And and then, the last one that he just broke up with was, um, what was her name, uh, Angelina Jolie.
[22:36]Thank you, Angelina Jolie. So during that time, whoops, this this thing kind of has a mind of its own.
[22:44]He was in the last part of Rahu, and through and if you'll notice from Rahu, looked at all the planets that go seventh.
[22:52]Yeah. So, you know, from one to another, and up here, let's see, it's kind of rammed through this, uh, but you can see that during that period from 1997 to 2003, he went into on and off first Rahu, uh, well, Venus, but, uh, that remember, I said regardless where it's placed that will bring relationships, but Rahu Sun opposite, then Rahu Moon, Rahu, you know, ended one began another, and then Rahu Mars ended one, and then he went into Jupiter in 2003 and they started adopting babies, Angelina Jolie and him.
[23:17]Yeah.
[23:32]So I thought that was really significant just to prove that point.
[23:38]So, that's all I really wanted to show you from his chart, okay?
[23:41]And when you see charts with a lot of planets, opposed the Mahadasha, when they go into that Bhukti, it'll either bring a relationship if it's a natural benefic, or end a relationship if it's a natural malefic, okay?
[23:57]All right, so the next thing is Princess Diana.
[24:01]And um, she was married. See over here is what I do, over here is I pull up all the transits for particular dates.
[24:08]Do you know how to do all that in here?
[24:11]Um, no.
[24:14]I will show you how to do that at the conference, okay?
[24:17]We don't have time today.
[24:20]But it's really cool, because you can put in edit, you can put in, when I'm rectifying charts, I'll have about 10 different events.
[24:28]See when you click on this, you'll you'll have her death and her marriage, you know, different different things, and these are where all the planets were specifically on that day, okay?
[24:40]So she was married July 29th, 1981, okay?
[24:47]And like I said, marriage is a process, it's not just that, you know, you're you're pinpointing the marriage date.
[24:55]But when you first meet, and you see on the day that she got married, whoops, little bugs here, um, Jupiter and Saturn were in Virgo.
[25:07]Um, very tight together, 12 and 11 degrees, so they were here in the 11th house.
[25:14]Now, Jupiter was aspecting the seventh house, and it was aspecting Venus ruler of the seventh house.
[25:21]Remember, we look at both the whole sign as an aspect.
[25:26]Um, but it but before this happened, the year before, when they met and they they became engaged, Jupiter was in Leo, and notice that it was seventh from the moon.
[25:39]And Yeah.
[25:42]And then it was with Mars, right? Remember I said that's passion, relationships for a woman, and Rahu.
[25:49]So there was a lot going on, but most significantly, it was seventh from the moon when the the meeting and the engagement and everything occurred.
[26:00]So then in the process, Jupiter went into the 11th, where it's aspecting the fifth house, which is the house of love, romance.
[26:11]And and if you'll notice, the fifth house is Pisces. So when a planet aspects a house that it rules, it empowers that house for whatever it's good for.
[26:18]Yeah. So there's love, and of course, it's aspecting the seventh.
[26:23]Now, generally, I like to see Saturn aspecting the seventh as well.
[26:28]It it was aspecting the seventh when they became engaged and they met by its tenth aspect, okay?
[26:38]Did Diana ever dealt with any miscarriages or abortion?
[26:43]Um, you know, I don't know.
[26:46]Her her mother. Okay. I don't know that, but, um, but I do know that right after she got married, she's starting having kids, and look at her Dasha right there.
[26:54]Yeah. In 1982, they were married in 81, she went into Jupiter's Mahadasha.
[27:00]Jupiter, mhm.
[27:04]So, so she was in Rahu Mars in 81, and really, it was around right before that, that Jupiter was here activating Rahu Mars, okay?
[27:17]And, you know, the to be honest with you, the Navamsha doesn't fit as well as, uh, as some charts do.
[27:26]I'm, you know, I really rely on, uh, the transits when I'm making these kind of predictions, I always look at the Navamsha.
[27:33]Sometimes it makes total sense, sometimes, uh, you'll see more things in the transits, but notice this combination in the first house in her Navamsha, which clearly defines her marriage with her husband.
[27:49]Um, which the ruler of the seventh, which is the sun, ruling Leo, goes to the first, uh, and it's with Saturn in its own sign, and I do use the outer planets.
[28:03]Forgive me, but Neptune represents misunderstandings big time, so this to me describes, you know, the the problem she had in her relationships, in her marriage, you know, in the second part of life when she was married, so this is significant.
[28:19]And who knows about her death and everything, too, with Neptune being there, we won't get into that.
[28:25]And then, let's see if you wanted to see who Diana is going to be with, then you'll just look at the seventh house, making it the Karthika Nakshatra or Scorpio.
[28:37]Okay. Yeah, so this would be his chart, Taurus ascendant, and, you know, Sun Mercury in the second house, Mercury in its own sign.
[28:46]My goodness. I mean, Oh, Mars Rahu in the tenth house of Markha, Reba, the royal princess.
[28:52]Yes. I mean, and that's his fourth house, her her marriage partner, which does represent, you know, his mother, the Queen of England, and all of this.
[29:00]Yeah. You know, all of this is so clear, it's so interesting, and, you know, even looking at this going to, uh, the ninth, and here, look at the moon Ketu in the tenth house from the seventh.
[29:18]So it's talking about Prince Charles, but for her, all of this, you know, opposition is between the tenth and the fourth.
[29:26]Mhm. So, so here's here's where I what what I wanted to point out in this chart, the significant, the summer before she got married, in 1980, Venus went retrograde, in Taurus, in her seventh house.
[29:45]And I know everybody's afraid of of Venus retrograde in terms of relationships, but I find it brings in a relationship, I do.
[29:55]So, so anyone, uh, that had like Scorpio or Taurus as their ascendant, that year with Venus being in the seventh house, brought in the potential for marriage and relationships.
[30:10]And you know what, this this last Venus retrograde that just went direct, think about the signs of Libra and Aries.
[30:17]It brings in relationships, okay?
[30:21]So, I make those points where planets station as major indicators for events in the future.
[30:30]So that's that's the main thing I wanted to bring out.
[30:34]Now, if if you'll notice, uh, the day that she got married, uh, Venus was at 12 degrees of Leo, which is seventh from the moon, and it was conjunct Mars right here.
[30:50]So that's another key indicator, but most of all, um, Jupiter, I think in the whole process, was seventh from the moon when they were dating.
[31:01]And then the whole process of Jupiter coming into the 11th and aspecting not only Venus, but Venus is, uh, the seventh house plus the ruler of the seventh house, plus the Darakaka, look at that.
[31:14]See down there?
[31:18]I have the Jamana karakas lined up here.
[31:21]So this is that this is what I wanted to show you with this chart.
[31:26]Another thing that was happening is Ketu, if you look down here, Rahu and Ketu are at eight Cancer Capricorn, so Ketu was in Capricorn, actually, where they are right now.
[31:38]And Ketu is aspecting Venus, which is very karmic, very karmic relationship that that occurred at that time.
[31:48]Okay, so now I want to show you the chart that I think it's going to really, um, give, I mean, I think everything I've been showing you, Kapila, you already know about.
[31:56]Yeah. But this next little little rule of thumb, I think you're going to enjoy, and you can let me know if you knew about it.
[32:03]But here is my youngest son Austin's chart.
[32:09]So Austin just met a girl this summer that he is head over heels for, okay?
[32:17]And he's very picky, he has not been in a relationship for a really long time.
[32:23]So, every, uh, month, Austin has me read his chart.
[32:28]Mom, and he sits there with his phone, and he puts all the dates and the times from everything I predict, and he just wants me to go month by month.
[32:35]Yeah.
[32:38]But he wants all the details, so he is constant, so I'm he's constantly having me look at his chart.
[32:44]He knows this works, right?
[32:47]So I gave him some dates for when I thought he was going to meet someone.
[32:55]And I told him I even described her in some way, and he just kind of like, I said, she'll be older than you.
[33:00]And he says, no way. No way. Well, way. Yeah. So, so anyway, I gave him a particular date, and that date, he met her, and they were so head over heels over each other that he actually showed her his phone that his mother predicted that he would meet someone that day.
[33:23]Oh, wow.
[33:27]I know, so that's pretty amazing.
[33:38]So also remember that Venus going retrograde here in Libra, it's it's important because Venus was aspecting, um, Venus and, uh, and even if you look at the trinal aspect, was aspecting the seventh house.
[33:51]But one more thing that maybe you you may not have seen that I thought was a big reference is if you look here at Uranus, it's at seven degrees of Aries, right here on Venus.
