[0:00]Winter is here and that means that you still have to wash your car. If it's above freezing temperature outside, I want you to go outside and wash this beauty of yours. If you've ever washed your car in the winter and it still looks dirty the next day, this video is for you. Winter is brutal here on our cars here in Canada. So in this video, I'm going to show you 13 products that are 10 out of 10 to make this winter car care easier for you. Quick disclaimer, I'm assuming that you already have at least a wax, a sealant or a ceramic coating on your car. If not, well, let's just say winter is about to humble you. By the way, today's 13 products are not random products. This is the winter system I personally use and recommend. And I'll explain exactly why each item matters during the winter. You don't need all 13 categories, but even picking a few will make your winter car care a whole lot easier. So I hope you're ready, let's jump right into it. All right, so let's start with the most crucial product. A product that you have to have during winter, I'm not washing my car this winter without pre-washing it. If you really care about your paint, you're going to have to pre-soak the paint before rinsing it off. Rinsing alone is not going to cut it, it's not going to remove the grit, the sand, the salt and all that winter dirt. If you just rinse and go to town with your wash mitt, you're going to create a lot of damage, micro scratches and over time these are going to accumulate and that's going to make your paint looks like trash. Now there's three pre-washes that I highly recommend on my channel that have tested last year, last winter and I really believe in and the first one is Labo Primus 2.0.

[1:54]This one can be used as a decontamination soap or as a pre-wash in your foam cannon or in a pump sprayer. Do as you please, all method work. I highly recommend Primus 2.0 by Labocosmetica. This is made in Italy, this brand is focusing on the best of the best, especially when it comes to pre-wash, this is safe on your paint as well. And this is an absolute beast mode of a product. Close behind for me is touchless by Built Hamber. This is another great choice if. And the third product is Koch Chemie Super Foam, which is only available in 5 liters. I have one in my cabinet. I've talked about this one, this is also one of my favorite, so either of those three is a solid choice. By the way, I'll have the links for every product used and mentioned in this video in the description below and I have discount codes for Ethos, DIY Detail, Carzilla, TOC supplies, the House of Rags. So check them out, use them and save you some money. Product number two, another product that you have to have during the winter. You know that the city is going to put abrasive, sodium chloride, magnesium chloride and salt all over the roads. That's going to stick on your car and degrade your paint, your protection and so on. So to combat that style of dirt, you're going to need an acidic type of shampoo to maintain your car the best way possible. And for this one, I highly recommend the Cleant Tech Shampoo. This is an acidic shampoo, you can do regular washes, you can maintain ceramic coating and you can even use this one as a pre-wash. So there's no guess work with this one, behind the label, you have everything that you need to know about the dilution, the instruction, super easy to understand. This one has the fragrance of Coca-Cola and pine. Very, very good, highly recommend, I love using that one. And close behind is Labocosmetica Purifica. This is known as the best acidic shampoo on the market. It has been tested, it has been compared with others and I highly trust this one, so I can't recommend this one enough. Purifica by Labocosmetica is at the top. The lubricity in this product is very good, it works well to decontaminate your paint or to unclog your ceramic coating, so this one, like I said, is one of my favorite for sure. Always have this one on hand. So these acidic shampoo are super good at cleaning your paint, the pores of your paint are sometimes clogged with salt and all these minerals. These products are going to fix that and are going to bring back the gloss that you deserve. Next up, something that you have to understand is that when you reach temperature under 10 Celsius or 50, 55, 56 Fahrenheit, your sealant or your spray protection are not going to bond really well. With the humidity, with the low temperature, they're going to smear around and not work well, all right? So to combat this, what I do and what I recommend is that you use a spray and rinse product. Those do bond with the paint really well regardless of the temperature, that's a quick and easy way to coat your car, plastic, windows. Every single piece on your car is going to be protected and it's going to beat water. That's going to last a few weeks for you and the two favorite of mine are DIY Detail Quick Beads. This is graphene infused, that's a very good one, this one is slick as hell. And the other one that I recommend is Gyeon Wet Coat. This one is well balanced, it lasts a bit longer and it's not as slick as DIY. So pick your poison, both I highly recommend, you can use those on wheels as well, you can even use them during engine bay cleaning. I mean, this stuff bonds with anything on your car. By the way, please show me your support by subscribing to the channel. I want to reach 30,000 subscriber by the end of this year, so click on the subscribe button. Product number four, very important to listen all the way through, there's a few key things that you need to know for this winter, all right? So the next category of product is drying aid or spray detailers, ceramic base sprays. You need those to finish off your wash routine to add a sacrificial layer to help with gloss and improve or boost your current protection, add hydrophobics. And for this one, I highly recommend the Ethos Finish Shine. It has a great smell, super, super slick and actually has some anti-static properties, so I've noticed with this one that the dust does not want to stick compared to other drying aid. My other favorite one right now is Armor Detail Supply Amplify. Super, super good, both have great fragrance. Both are excellent and the cherry on top for me during the winter is Koch Chemie FSe. This is a limescale remover and quick detailer combo, two in one. This one has some acidic properties and can actually remove minerals and remove water spots, so you know that Koch Chemie is at the top of the quality when it comes to car detailing enthusiasts products. I would not hesitate to grab FSe, this is an absolute monster. Now, product number five, if you work above 10 degrees Celsius or around 60 Fahrenheit, you can add a more robust style of protection, top up your current one with something that is going to last a little bit longer but more involved in the application. But nothing crazy here, we're talking about spray sealants. And one I've really enjoyed recently is CarPro Reload 2.0. You apply this on the paint, up, down, left, right, let it haze a little bit and wipe off with a dry towel. Super slick, very good. As far as the durability dimension, up to three months. For me, a spray sealant is a solid month, maybe two months, depending on the condition. But during winter expect your protection to last much less and know that your lower panels, the lower parts of the car are going to be clogged up much faster because of all the dirt that is getting splashed from the wheels. Now for the next category of products, a lot of you guys are sending me DMs on Instagram, on Facebook. By the way, throw me a follow on there. You guys are asking about how do I wash my car during winter when it's freezing outside or when it's just super cold? What I recommend if you have a garage, you can pre-wash the car outside, let it sit, rinse it off and then bring the car inside and do a rinseless wash. So that's a great way to take care of your car during winter and not freeze your butt outside. You can add in your garage if you don't have a heat pump, you can add external heating. So for the rinseless wash, two of my favorite right now are Koch Chemie Rapid Rinseless Wash and DIY Detail Rinseless Wash. Two great one that are slick, that cleans really well, that have surfactant. Those for me are better cleaners than your typical rinseless wash, so these are better in my opinion, they're affordable, work great and yeah, so just absolute beast of rinseless wash. Now, let's talk about wheels, during winter we have a different dirt than what we have during summer. Summer is usually more of that brake dust if you don't face a lot of rain. So when we reach the winter condition, I kind of move over the degreaser type of wheel cleaner and one that is a true banger that reminds me of Adam's wheel and tire cleaner or other product such as CarPro Tar. Koch Chemie Alkali Wheel Cleaner. This is a killer when it comes to cleaning tires and wheels. This is pH 14, so no real fumes from this product. So I really enjoy Koch Chemie, they always think about these things, you don't get those harsh fumes, nothing that's going to take your breath away. It cleans super aggressively while being safe, it removes the brown from the tire, you can use this as a pre-wash on your wheels to remove the majority of the dirt. This goes to work as soon as it hits your wheels, this is dilutable, so pay attention, the pricing for 1 liter is quite high, but you can use this up to 1 to 10 and I personally use the 1 to 5 dilution. This is quite aggressive at 1 to 5, I don't have the the need to go above that, but this one can be used at up to 1 to 2. 1 to 5 is the sweet spot for me, so if you do this 1 liter bottle at 1 to 5, you're going to end up with 6 liters of ready to use product. So that's a good value for money and as always, Koch Chemie has killer stuff on the market. Next up, an accessory that you need during the winter, I use them year-round, but winter, I use them a little bit more, is the IK pump sprayers. These are super useful, they have different type of use, but for me, I use the green one for my APC and the red one is going to be my rinseless solution. And I also have a third one, which is a foamer.

[10:27]This one has the blue handle, this one I use for wheels and tires. Actually, I have Koch Chemie all wheel cleaner or Koch Chemie Alkali wheel cleaner in this. So with this one you get 1.5 liter of water, you can dilute a bigger amount of product that always ready to go. And for the rinseless wash, you're going to use this to pre-soak the paint or add lubricity on the paint before going into your wash process. And I also like to use this for the pre-wash process. I can dilute this, this is 50 ounces. I can do 1 ounce into my 50 oz solution, it's a great dilution for pre-washes, 1 to 50, I use this in there. You can spray the whole car, let it soak and rinse off either with your garden hose or pressure washer. By the way, these last for years, I have had mine for years, they work great, the pump never breaks, as long as you rinse them once in a while and clean them. These are going to work for you really hard. Now, during winter, your car is going to be dirtier and uh, you're going to need better microfiber towels to keep your paint as pristine as possible, not damage it. So work clean, use clean stuff and use high quality microfibers.

[11:37]This is super important, this is part of the basic stuff that you have to have uh during winter. So, the two wash mitt that I personally use are these, they're the same material, but this one is from DIY Detail and this one is from Carzilla. This is made for Carzilla, this is Detail Popo Carzilla house brand. So I'll have links down below, you don't have to look too too far for it. And yeah, so these are pretty good, they look very nice, they're super soft and they hold just the right amount of water, so some some wash mitt are going to be too thick, too flimsy. But these are perfect, you can insert the cuff inside if you want, use them as a pad. I've tested tons and tons of wash mitt and I always reach for these, I bought eight of those and I have this one. So great stuff all around, they last forever, you clean them after each use, this is just my favorite material from South Korea. When it's from South Korea, you know that you have a quality microfiber. Now, once you're done washing the car, the drying portion is super crucial again to not induce damage. You'll want to use the best and most absorbent microfiber towels and for me, I use the leaf blower to get rid of most of the water. And then I use my small Drying Company FTW towel. Those are twist loops, here are just two different colors. So this is twist loop, so this is super safe on your paint, this is absorbent and this is going to pair really well with a drying aid or your ceramic quick detailer. If you don't blow most of the water, you're going to need a larger microfiber towel or drying towel, I like the Gyeon drying towel. This is also twist loop. This is a thinner one, although this is large size, this one is thinner by its nature. If you have a larger vehicle and you have a lot of water on the car, you don't blow it off, I recommend that you get a thicker twist loop towel, such as the Detailed Popo.

[13:44]This is the largest version.

[13:49]It is around 1,000 GSM, so super thick, super plush, absorbs like crazy. You can dry almost two cars with a single towel. You also have the big, big max drying towel. This one is even bigger and thicker, this is from Ethos. So this one is the big boy. By the way, the GSM is the weight of your towel, just put it simply, the GSM is the weight. If you see a thousand GSM versus 500, the thousand is going to be heavier towel.

[14:27]And as far as the twist loop towels are concerned, the heavier the towel, the more absorbent it should be. So twist loop, you can see the texture here, this towel is composed of all those tiny twisted fibers, which makes it really absorbent and also soft and smooth for your paint. Now, let's talk about rinsing the car. If you don't have a pressure washer yet, I highly recommend that you get one. This is another thing that is part of the basics, this is something that is going to help you rinse the car, clean faster, more efficient, use less water as well. Makes your life much easier and actually really fun to use. So for me, I use the NTM Premium kit when it comes to the accessory. The pressure washer itself is the AR 630. This is for me, the best pressure washer in the car detailing scene. This is 2.3 gallons per minute with around 1,000 PSI, the sweet spot, a lot of power, a lot of water flow. There's other options on the market, but for me, I highly recommend the AR 630. It works well to foam the car, it works well to rinse the car, the wheels, the arches and when I'm done, the car is almost perfectly clean. And then from there, I just go to town with my regular wash process. Now, another thing that is part of winter is ice and snow freezing on your glass, on your windshield. This is so annoying, but when you have the right product on your glass, this is going to be a game changer. So if you apply a window sealant, a window coating, especially on the windshield, the ice is not going to freeze as much, it's going to be much easier to remove from the windshield. If you preheat your car, everything is going to melt much faster. So much easier, this is for me mandatory during winter. Two product that I really like are Gyeon Quick View. You don't even need an applicator with those, they come with it, it's built in in here. And Glaco with dry is another one that is super popular, this is proven and great stuff. So both of these are good. If you prepare the glass really well, uh this is going to be a piece of cake and that's going to change the game when it comes to windshield vision during the snow snowstorm, rain, all that. Your glass is going to look much clearer, much more transparent. And like I said, if you do the prep right, this is going to be an absolute monster during winter. Next up, if you're the kind of guy that likes a dedicated window cleaner. I know some of you guys are washing the glass, they're washing the windshield during their wash process, but they're still fighting the glass all the time. The product that I would recommend to clean your glass in and out that is safe, that works great, that cleans really well, that is user-friendly and that is a killer one in the category of window cleaner is Built Hamber Traceless. This is again, a solid choice when it comes to glass. It works really well, it sticks to the glass, it's lubricated, it has a good working time and also evaporates quickly. This is a big step above of your average window cleaner. This with Invisible Glass or even Chemical Guys, streak-free, all three good product, but this one has the edge on the other two. Now during winter, everything is wet, kicked up, dirty outside, so you're going to carry this somehow in the interior of the car. So that's another thing that you have to figure out. Your interior is going to get dirtier from just normal use and a product that I recommend to keep your interior as clean as possible is P and S Express Interior Cleaner. This is a dedicated interior cleaner that is super strong, but also safe, works well. It's super affordable, it's easy to wipe off, evaporates, it has a good foam. If you're the type of person that likes a foamy interior product, this is one that does it, this is around the pH neutral, slightly alkaline product around pH 8.5. Solid choice, this is what I use personally to clean my steering wheel, leather, shoe marks, all the dirt that you're maybe your kids have brought in. So this is going to be a life saver for your typical monthly interior cleaning. And for most people, I don't see the need that you go above with something stronger than this, this is strong enough for the heavy dirt, but also super safe and you don't have to worry about this product inside your car. Now another product that is optional, but I personally use and that I've discovered recently and I really believe in. You know when you have your brake that are seizing after a wash, sometimes if you have too much water in your brake system, your caliper and your disc can kind of start to seize. This is something that I experienced especially with BMWs. A product to help against this phenomenon is Bilt Hamber Atom-Mac. This is an anti-corrosion product that you spray on your disc as soon as you're done with your wash process. And this is going to make a big difference when it comes to the rusting effect on your disc. And for me, it has helped a lot to prevent that caliper seizing against the disc. Not 100% perfect because obviously once you're once you're done with your wash, you're going to be backing up and pulling in, using your brakes a little bit, that's going to add some rust to some degree. But for me, I really like to add this one to my wash process, it takes only 10 to 20 seconds after I'm done with the wash and it does make a big difference. This product, by the way, is not the cheapest, but you dilute this at 5% with distilled water in an empty bottle. So this is going to last you a few years for sure. So if you're experimenting problems with your disc and you hate having that rust when you pull out of the garage or pull out of your driveway and all that rust is spreading on your black wheels, well, you can look into this product, I highly recommend, this works really well actually. Winter is just a phase that we have to go through, it's just a phase that we have to survive and we don't need much more than these products. And if you live in the south and you don't have a real winter, watch what I use during the summer right here.
