[0:00]Hi ghosties, I'm Macy. And I'm Natalie. And it is our 100th listener stories episode. I forgot. Oh my God. I feel like we need like a We need like a, like a little, um, party horn thing. Yeah. Oh my gosh. And you were just telling me something scary. Yeah, so weird things have happened for this one. Weird. I want to take a moment here in the intro to just thank you guys for allowing, giving us your stories to tell. Trusting us with your stories for 100 episodes. And that doesn't include the like little half mini, bonus episodes, or the stories we include in our like regular Monday episodes occasionally, you know? That's insane. We've had enough of you, trust us with your stories enough to make 100 of these. It's so funny because we do reflect a lot on like, what are we doing? How do we get here? Oh my God. Uh, I didn't think we were going to get here. When we were coming up with the idea for the pod and like brainstorming we're like, oh, we can do listener stories and we're like, uh, the two that are going to ride in. if we ever get any, yeah. We're like, ah, nobody's ever going to give us stories and now we have 100 listener story episodes. I know. I know. Oh, that's insane. It is wild. This is weird. It's very exciting. So thank you guys. Thanks to each and every one of you. Even if you don't send in your stories, thanks for listening. Thanks for telling your friends about us because your friends usually send in stories and are like, hey, shout out Amanda for sending me here. So thank you. Just all of my gratitude to you. Thanks, guys. Yeah. But we do have a good lineup for you today. It started with I thought that we would do demons. Oh, yes. Because our very first episode was demons. Oh, I'm scared. But it kind of evolved into just like could be demonic, really scary. Maybe the demon is the person. Oh, or if there's a demonic influence over the person. Who knows? Oh, But it's very dark today. Hey. So, get all your giggles in. That's actually smiles out. No, that gave me kind of like a chill and I feel like there's something behind me right now. because of you. I know there's not. It's it's a wall. But I I feel that uneasiness because you were just saying you cannot find the email for one of these stories. Oh, yeah, so I'll I'll let you know. The it's the first very, very story. So I'll let you know. We'll get started though. Our tea today is Harney and Sons cherry blossom. Yes, it is. It's a good one. If I don't come in and pick a specific tea out, Natalie's like, cherry blossom it is. Bro, we have been recording at like 5:00 a.m. I can't do these random and like strong flavors. Right now, I need a safe favorite. Yeah, true. And also, now I'm really glad that I picked that because this is about to unsettle me deeply. It will. Yes. And I know. Yes, it will. Oh, All right, well, So, grab your tea, grab your blanket. Let's go.
[2:54]Oh, also, let us know what, um, craft you're doing today. I'm intrigued. I love seeing y'all's crafts. I love hearing y'all talk about it. Someone the other day posted on Instagram, they do crocheting and embroidery and stuff. And they posted on Instagram them crocheting a, I don't remember what they were crocheting. It was a square. But they told their ghost story and they tagged us. Oh! I was like, oh, I love this. That's actually so cute. Yes, so if you are doing a craft right now, let me know. Bro, imagine a movement. Okay, everybody in October, if you're a crafter, start I'm telling you now, what is it? May? Hmm. May 1st. May 1st. If you do a craft in October, I need you to do the craft, tell your story and then show it and be like at Ghosties. So we can start a whole. Oh my gosh. Internet movement. Okay. Plan now of the crafts. We'll we'll give you more information, but we're having a I'll I'll think of a quippy name by October. The craft. The craft. It's Okay, I kind of like that. That's so good. Right?
[3:57]It's so good. Okay, our first story is from Annie. Now, Annie, please email me because what I do when I put these stories together or yeah, bring these stories together is I copy the email into a draft. Like a a Google Docs, so that way I can edit it if I need to or just like reorganize the emails in a in a way like to tell the stories. And I did that here, but Annie, I cannot find your email. It's gone. It's not in my little file for this episode on Gmail. It's not in our trash. I've searched bits and pieces. Like I've taken a whole paragraph out of your email and put it in the search bar. Nowhere, nothing. Well, with the Michael Jackson movie being out, it's not a better time to say. Annie, are you okay? What's happening? Please, email me if this is your story. That's sick. You check the trash and everything. I did, yeah. This is so unsettling. Let me preface this by saying, I'm so sorry, Natalie. Are you saying this or is she saying this? Annie is saying this. Okay, so I'm just going to read it as is around the same time as last story, I would see ghosts in our home all the time. But this, this was not them. I was around three years old and sound asleep in my bed in my room. I had thrown a fit for a princess bed, which was actually just a normal full-size bed with four large bedposts. I slept through the night and knew how to slide off of it, so it wasn't an issue. My parents would put me to bed, tuck me in, and I'd be there until morning, except this night. This night, I woke up. I'm not sure what woke me up specifically, but when I did, I saw something peeking over the edge of the bed at me. It slowly came around the left side of my bed, and before I knew what was happening, it yanked me off of my bed. I was terrified. The only way I know how to describe it is a demented looking puppet. Oh my God. Like if Tim Burton or Rob Zombie made a Muppet movie. Oh my gosh. I remember the blue feather-like hair and big orange nose like it was yesterday. It started tickling me. But like the painful kind of tickles on your ribs. I was crying and laughing at the same time and it felt like my heart was going to explode from pounding so hard. I finally broke loose and ran to my parents' room. I jumped in their bed and hid under the blanket. No one woke up while any of this happened to help me. I remember hiding under the covers and it being hot, but I couldn't peek out because I swore I could hear it breathing right outside the blanket. I would say it was a dream, but I woke up in their bed that morning and got in trouble for not waking my parents instead of just getting into their bed. I still have no idea what that thing was or why it happened, and I kind of hope I never do. Thanks for taking the time to read my stories. I'll have to tell you about the men in my room next time, sending all the love and prayers for you both, Annie. Oh, no. Oh, no. Something about its cartoonish description, I really unsettled me. It's like it was doing that to disarm Annie as a child, almost. Yeah, like it's Yeah, like it's It was something from Sesame Street or something. It wasn't it was just pretending to be. Yeah. Oh, hey. Oh, and the tickling. Oh my God. Okay. I hate that. It's like taking something like fun and playful and hurting her with it. Why? I don't know, but it It made me sick. Why is what? I I don't just why in general. I'm not Oh. Our next story is from Aisha or Asia. Hey, lovelies, I don't know if you'll ever see my email, but I love your podcast and I finally decided to send my story in. My name is Asia. I'm from India. My family is pretty connected to spirits and I have loads of stories to tell you girls, but I'll only keep one for this email. So my uncle, my mother's brother is a big believer in ghosts. And one time, he was working in the south of India. So he was given this security guard job. He was guarding a big temple in the middle of the woods with three to four people, and it was his night shift. So he was sitting under a tree, and this is the complete middle of the woods with darkness and pitch black around him, and only one torch light, and it was the early 2000s. My uncle made a mistake. He mocked the temple God and said pretty bad and obscene things about the God, which was definitely his fault. But he didn't think much of it and moved on with his shift. So the place he was sitting at was right next to this big sand dune that was kept there for construction purposes along with many giant bricks, impossible for a human being to pick up on their own. At around 3:00 in the morning, he felt as if he couldn't breathe anymore. And when he opened his eyes, he couldn't see anything and his eyes were burning. He could hear his concerned colleague call out to him, but he couldn't respond, and he completely blacked out, waking up at 8:00 a.m. on a bed. When he asked his friend what happened, he said that when he found my uncle, his head was immersed inside the sand dune, and his body was laying as if he was dead. When his friend finally brought him out of the sand dune, my uncle turned into a complete psycho and took those probably 800-pound tree-sized bricks and threw them at his colleague friend. The locals were immediately called, and they took him inside a hut and drenched him with holy water, and he passed out later. Upon waking, his friend told him everything that happened, and he said that he felt like he was in a trance. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Love you and your podcast. Okay. He was like possessed. So after mocking that God of that area. Uh-huh. He was overtaken by something that gave him horrifying strength. But stuck his head inside the sand dune first. Was it trying to like suffocate him? Yeah. I have never liked stories where someone starts acting crazy. a fool. Yes. And they don't remember it. That just to me is so scary because you're not in control. It could happen at any time. Yeah, you don't you don't know what you're doing. Yeah, he just blacked out. That's so scary. Our next story is unsigned. So anonymous. Yeah. Maybe it was like a like a No. Oh, I don't know.
