[0:00]When Jehoshaphat sent singers to battle, the power of praise, 2 Chronicles 20:1-30, three armies. One tiny kingdom, no way out. King Jehoshaphat stood surrounded. Moabites, Ammonites, and others marching to destroy Judah. The people were afraid, outnumbered, overwhelmed. So the king did something unexpected. He didn't sharpen swords. He didn't call for warriors. He called for a fast. He gathered the people, and he prayed. We don't know what to do, but our eyes are on You. 2 Chronicles 20:12. That was his battle plan. And then the spirit of the Lord spoke through a man named Jahaziel. Do not be afraid. The battle is not yours, but God's. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. The next morning, the army of Judah gathered. But at the front of the line, Jehoshaphat did something no king had done before. He put singers in front of the soldiers. Men dressed not for war, but for worship. Voices, not weapons. And as they sang, give thanks to the Lord for His love endures forever. God sent confusion into the enemy camp. The invading armies turned on each other. They fought themselves. And by the time Judah arrived, the battle was already over. Not one sword was lifted, but the victory was won. Reflection. There are moments in life when you can't fight. When you don't know what to do, when fear outnumbers faith. And in those moments, your praise becomes your weapon. God doesn't always need your strength. He needs your surrender. Lord, when fear surrounds me, teach me to lift my eyes to You. Help me remember that the battle belongs to You, not me. Teach me to praise even before the breakthrough comes. In every battle, let worship rise first. In Jesus' name, Amen. When you don't know what to do, worship anyway.
