I don't even have a ring from my husband until we could afford to have that same amount of money in the bank. So we saved. But you can't save your way to wealth though? No, but you know what?You can save and invest in yourself. If you have a dream, go for it, but you got to put blood, sweat and equity into that. So you had to sacrifice a lot to build a billion dollar company? Oh yeah, I mean at 18 years old, I started. You know what I mean? I didn't go the party. Did you come from a rich family? No, my parents were poor. We didn't have any money. We never raised any capital. You bootstrapped? It's crazy. We bootstrapped the company. We hired all my friends from school, and that's how we started. Are you a good negotiator? It's one of my superpowers. I'm a great negotiator. That's how I always get what I want. What's your secret to negotiation? Be willing and ready to walk away. Don't let people know how much you love something. Did you ever walk away? Many of times. And then they called me back and said I could have it. You got to be willing to walk away. Do you think you need a lot of money to start a business in today's? No, I started with zero. We started with nothing. All you need in today's world is like an LLC or an S Corp. It's true. Well, we started with an LLC. I think I still have an LLC. How important was that? It was so important.It was so important for people to understand that that's what we needed. Back then, I was 18.
